I got in my car and traveled around Shawnee looking for a pet store that might sell dog boots (I had plenty of warm clothes for them, but no boots!). The store I found on Yelp had recently closed down. Disheartened I continued driving up Harrison and went past Best Friends Animal Clinic. Eureka! They will know where I can get dog boots! I went in and from the moment I walked in the door I felt taken care of. I could tell this was a really great clinic by the kinds of food, treats and products they had on display in the waiting room, and the front desk receptionist was just lovely. While we talked, people came and went with their cats and dogs - everybody was happy with how they were treated. While the receptionist was on the phone, the vet came out and asked if we were all taken care of. THE VET came and checked on people in the waiting room. Awesome. As we chatted, the receptionist told him why I was there and he hand wrote me a map of the pet supply places in Shawnee. Seriously, how sweet was that?! I think you'll like this place. Friendly, well kept and really nice staff and vet. Definitely was a place I would take my dogs if I lived there!

I called June 4th and 6th regarding a pet I…read morerecently adopted and yet they are too busy to follow up with me regarding simple things lile what was their weight and did they notice a lump, etc. They cleared this animal as so healthy they don't need labs, but I would like to know what she weighed at the time and see how much if weight loss had occurred and if they notice anything in their comprehensive report that I don't have access to at this time and can forward to her new vet under my care but they are just too busy to get back with me. Also, they did not provide any options for me to get the health records of the pet I adopted. When asked if they could email me, it still have the previous owners information and just said "sorry". As if they can't redact that info? As if the vet couldn't call me personally? I do not think they did their job in adequately clearing the pet I adopted and maybe their records would prove that. I would never bring my animal here. It does not take weeks to get back to someone when in reality, all I need to know is if labs were done, how much did the pet weigh, and if they noticed the lump during their exam.
