We trusted them to inspect our home before purchase (inspection date: July 3, 2024), and they missed multiple serious, visible, and accessible defects that any competent inspector should have caught. The issues we discovered after moving in include: Active roof leaks -- we paid $10,000 to replace the roof. Broken footers and structural separation in the foundation, with contractor estimates of $20,000-$30,000 to repair. A sagging main support beam in the crawl space, which had visible signs inside the home that we pointed out to Tony during the inspection. These defects were clearly visible and accessible at the time of inspection. They were not hidden or subtle; any thorough inspection should have flagged them. The failure to do so has left us facing $40,000-$50,000 in unexpected repairs, a sum that can be life-changing for anyone's future. I met with the inspector, Tony, on September 22, 2025, to review these issues. He acknowledged seeing the defects and promised to follow up that night. Despite this commitment, I made four phone calls and sent two emails over the next four weeks -- none were returned. I later learned he refused to communicate further only because my realtor reached out to him and he was willing to talk with her. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. Home inspections are supposed to protect buyers from major defects and unforeseen costs. In our case, the trust we placed in this inspector was completely violated. Families should not rely on AM Home Inspection -- there are many other inspectors who will provide thorough, professional, and responsible service. I have extensive documentation to support all of these claims, please look through the pictures as they give just a small view into the evidence of neglect. Given the seriousness of these oversights, I will be filling a formal complaint with the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA) to ensure accountability. If you are considering hiring this company STOP and hire a different inspector entirely. Your family's financial well-being depends on it. If you are a realtor STOP recommending AM Home Inspection, your clients financial future depends on it. Consumers deserve transparency, professionalism, and accountability, something this inspector has failed to provide in every way. Do not hire AM Home Inspection. Go elsewhere.

I have a new build so when it was finally time to hire an inspector I decided to go with MC2. So glad I did. They were reasonable and the inspection took about 3 hours. It was a smooth process and Greg, my inspector, was awesome. He was VERY picky (which I love) and he pointed out things that I wouldn't have seen. Please do NOT purchase a home without getting your own inspection done (IMO). After reading reviews, and trying to find someone who specialized an older homes, we landed on Young's Inspections. Getting set up for the inspection was fairly straightforward and organized. It's quite pricey to have a foundation inspection at about $650 -from what I could read that's pretty close to the national average. Bob was thorough in his report and sent it our way the week after the inspection. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I felt confident in his expertise. If you need a structural engineer to inspect your foundation, I would recommend giving him a try. I hope you don't have to, though!

A low pump, a higher pump if that first pump fails or cant keep up. And then a higher battery backup pump. I feel great knowing that my basement will stay dry no matter what. However, the basement was not finished, but had rough-in plumbing installed. We were looking for someone to finish the basement (4 rooms total), including adding an additional bedroom with closet and full bathroom. This included all electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, door installation, flooring, trim, and painting. Mike was quick to respond to my original inquiry, come check out the space, and provide a quote. He was timely, friendly, and easy to collaborate with. We changed our mind a few times on final design - we appreciate how patient he was with us while we narrowed in on the final plan. The final quote was very detailed and he provided helpful information on the areas for potential cost increase (given that the home is old and there could have been unexpected things identified after work begun). This helped us set our expectations for the project. During the project, he kept us up to date on progress or concerns and kept the area very clean (ensuring very little debris made its way outside the basement into our home). He managed all of the subcontractors (electric, plumbing, carpet, etc) so we didn't need to worry about a thing. Made it super easy by having one point of contact! His work speaks for itself. There were a lot of difficult aspects of the basement to figure out (i.e. uneven walls and ceilings, tricky vents or pipes along the ceiling, water/electrical shutoffs needing to be accessible, etc), but he managed to turn the space into exactly what we were looking for. The attention to detail makes all the difference! In the end, the project took about two months (including carpet installation) and final cost was in line with the estimate.
