Staff was friendly and everything looked clean. There are a lot of cute knickknacks, pins, and gift items to look at while waiting in line or waiting for your order. After placing my order, my drink came out quickly. I ordered my usual: iced green tea with strawberry and honey; and it tasted just how I expected! hooray for consistency across locations! I can't recall there being a place to sit within the sencha, since it is at the mall and is a bit smaller. However, there's a food court close by if you're looking to get a drink and chat or take a rest.

My reviews are so naughty I often need a CENSOR With lots of sexy references - Barbie is my MENTOR I just spew crap onto the laptop, then hit ENTER But if you want Boba in the Mall, go to SENCHA WHAT! This is a pretty average location of Sencha and it's bizarrely located inside the Mall of America. Yes this Mall is so enormous that it even has its own bubble tea shop with its own seating and everything. They have a whole staff in here. And I'm not talking about the Staff of Ra which Indy used to find the location of the Well Of Souls where the Ark of the Covenant was buried. I'm not sure how any staff can actually work in this Mall considering how hard it is to get in and out of. Must be a nightmare. They seemed pretty friendly, and one of the guys here definitely had a crush on me big time. Gave me the eyes and all of that. One of the employees I mean. Some of the girls were friendly and some of them, not. The drink was decidedly average. I much preferred the drink made by the Sencha at the University of Minnesota, but this one is a much better location than the one in Uptown (even though they have the cool mural and the best seating and everything going for them), where they cost me $100 - not even exaggerating. You can read that story on their own Yelp page. And without further ado, it's time I Sencha over to my next review.

This place was fantastic! I had my friend's kids with me and we needed something for a little snack and I wanted them to try something new and different. I wasn't sure of the ordering process but the girls behind the counter were SUPER amazing at explaining and offering amazing suggestions. I got some sort of tropical tea with the tapioca pearls and it was so good! The 15 year old got a white tea flavored with pineapple and strawberry jellies and she LOVED it! The 12 year old boy has food dye allergies, so I knew that tea was ok, but he couldnt have any flavorings added so the girl behind the counter went above and beyond to help find a flavorful tea that he could have and would like. She suggested some sort of wild berry something they had "on tap". I asked to add the tapioca pearls (knowing they didnt have any food dyes in them) but she wouldn't add them to the order until she had checked the ingredients to be SURE they had no dyes... in a world where few people actually care about others, I was overjoyed that she made the effort to do that even though I already knew they were safe... in the end he loved the tea but hated the texture of the pearls so in the trash they went lol... but you never know unless you try, right? I have previously walked past this store many times, but now I will make it a frequent stop. Thanks for amazing service!

Out of all the thirst options inside the Mall of America, hands down Sencha was the most reasonable both in pricing and satisfying my boba obsession. As a chain boba shop, I wasn't expecting a whole lot. It's placement inside a giant mall doesn't make it seem any better, but I was surprised to find some good quality thirst quenchers from my visit. I ordered a Guava/Pomegranate flavor mixed ice slushie with boba. Definitely aim for a fruity flavored drink since they do not use any fresh fruits in their blends. If you go for items like taro, expect to taste some of the powder remnants in the drink if they don't blend it correctly. Overall, a good pitstop during your mall shopping spree. Enjoy!

I'm from San Francisco and there are so many boba places around here. I saw this place at the mall and saw they served boba so I had to try it. I ordered the Island ice tea with the tapioca pearls. It came out green and I took one sip and it was delicious. The boba was soft and not too chewy, just how I like it. I would definitely get this drink again.

I love Sencha. Always have and always will. There's a huge lack of bubble tea in the twin cities but Sencha helps to fill that void. When you visit, you can choose from about two dozen favors. It's glorious. My favorites are Thai tea and lychee black tea. Also note you can change sweetness levels to suit your taste, as bubble teas tend to come pretty sweet. I recently went for their Thai tea and left it as is and it was super super sweet. Next time I'm going to have to go for 50% sugar. Sencha used to be Tea Garden and they have at least four locations in the Twin Cities that I know of (MOA, Grand Ave, Uptown, and Woodbury).

Cheers to the delicious sencha tea bar!

At first I was incredibly sad not to see the tea garden listed in the mall directory. Then I realized that they had changed over to sencha tea bar and was relieved! Obviously am an out-of-towner. My usual used to be the Royal tea as a shake. Decided to try the Amazon chai tea latte with a shot of vanilla iced. So good! The chai has a spiced flavor to it. I will definitely be getting it again the next time I stop into the twin cities area. My only complaint is that it can take awhile to be served when it's either busy or the orders in front of you are a bit more intensive.

We got the 6 for $18 variety box: fruity pebbles, churro, taro, circus cookie, strawberry, matcha. My favorite was the fruity pebbles and matcha. Fruity pebble had the perfect light crunch as a topping and the vanilla glaze wasn't overly sweet. With the matcha it wasn't too strong of a flavor which I like and prefer. It had the right amount of matcha flavor. Taro was good but the flavor was quite mild. Wish it was more taro forward. You can never go wrong with churro flavor as it's just sugar and cinnamon. It is a safe pick. Circus cookie did not remind me of the glazed circus cookies at all. Not bad and not overly sweet but definitely not reminiscent of glazed circus cookies. The strawberry was something. There is this top layer of strawberry dust which was overly sweet but it did taste like strawberry. If you're looking for something sweet and tart then this is for you. As for the texture, I love that the mochi donut was very light, airy but still had that chewy mochi texture you're looking for, but not overly chewy. I also love how they're ball shaped donuts so it's very easy to share and try all of them without having to take bites from it. You do have to order from the kiosk so it may take a minute to order especially on a busy day. Though when I went it was quite busy, the workers did a great job getting the drinks and orders out in a timely manner.

It's a self order via kiosk situation. I opted for the signature milk tea with boba (50% sugar & less ice). The kiosk was easy to use and tipping is optional. It was quite busy when I was waiting to order and waiting for my drink. The drink was tasty and I loved that it was in a hard plastic cup with a plastic lid on top of the plastic clear cover...cause anytime I put the straw in other boba drinks, a bit of liquid comes out...I love a drink that's not messy! Yay!

My partner and friend and I were insane enough to head to the mall the Saturday before Christmas for some Pokemon Go. They chose a bench not far from this Macy's to rest and I wandered away to find the Macy's restroom and was happy to realize Tii Cup was in this location. The line was longish and inconvenient because it impeded some entry into Macy's itself but they were staffed up and the wait wasn't long. The lady taking my order was very kind and patient while I figured out what was dairy free and what I wanted to try. Since the icii flavor of honeydew was made with milk I went for the matcha instead with tapioca pearls. My drink was great but not my favorite as last time, I'll stick with the regular milk tea and not their blends next time due to their lack of flavor options for me. Thank you Tii Cup!

Do not recommend this place. Customer service was disappointing…read more When ordering, I specifically asked for a kid-friendly drink recommendation and was given a strawberry fruit tea with popping boba. It ended up tasting extremely bitter--more like strong black tea than anything strawberry. Paying $7 for a drink my kids wouldn't even touch felt like a waste. I went back to ask if they could make it sweeter or offer a different drink. I wasn't asking for a refund, just a chance to have a better experience. They added sweetener but it still tasted very bitter and said their policy doesn't allow to change drinks. To make things worse, staff were speaking to each other in another language right in front of me instead of communicating directly (when they both can speak perfect english), which felt unprofessional. Overall, disappointing experience and not very accommodating to customers.

They have a wide variety of drinks and toppings and what makes them special is they offer fresh pressed sugarcane and if you have never had sugarcane I highly recommend, it is a refreshing sweet treat. You will feel like you are on the streets of Asia. They only have cold cut and shredded chicken options for banh mi or you could get the special which has cold cut and shredded chicken which is what I got. There was not a lot of shredded chicken in it but it was a really good banh mi. The flavors were there and the bread was crispy. No complaints. They offered milk substitutes for my friend who is lactose intolerant. Prices are pretty decent here. Banh mi is around $8 which is pretty standard but it's a really good banh mi. Drinks are also around $7-$8 depending on what you get. We went right after tet and we saw they had these cute reusable cups there, they said the promo was over but they gave us these cups for free since we bought enough. There is not much seating here, most people seemed to just pick up to go but our group likes to sit here and talk and it's a nice ambiance for it. I'm hoping if they get more popular they can expand their seating more but it's not necessary. If you are looking for a good banh mi and good boba come here!
