Last Sunday I came with my boyfriend and actually had the opportunity to hear a sermon. This church is definitely different from my home church, in that it is small and very close knit. I feel as if this is one of those churches were everyone knows who you are. So of course everyone kept looking my way to see who I was. Overall, I had a good time and walked away feeling like I learned something. I would definitely recommend if you are into a close-knit church, although the facility itself is actually very large.

If you want a salad to go with it you can pay a couple bucks more and get the all you can eat. I guarantee you leave here totally stuffed. When you're ready for more fish and chips there are people walking around taking those additional orders on their iPads. A few minutes later you have more. My brother an I went here a number of times last year and we didn't want to miss on the opening night on the Friday after ash Wednesday. There are also many other options if you don't want to indulge in the finer greasy great tasting hot all you can eat. They have baked cod, baked salmon baked potato options as well. Now if you go with your kids and they're not into fish, they have a pasta or pizza option (not all you can eat). The water is free but if you want some pop for a buck extra you can have as much of that too. Now after you're totally stuffed they also have dessert tables with many different sweet morsels of goodness to choose from like coconut cream pie, cherry cheesecake, chocolate cake and so on. This is for a great cause as there are quite a few volunteers of all ages helping. Most of them are the kids in middle school ages helping their parents. They drop off the food, constantly clean and asking for your dirty dishes and fetching for more pop or anything else you need. There are even some kids that go to Catholic Central that come back and help with the dinner too. Come here with an appetite and you won't be disappointed. You don't have to be a parishioner to go here. Open every Friday through Lent.

Our kids LOVE the children's ministry classes during service, they have learned so much and have made so many new friends! There is always fresh coffee, tea and treats at the welcome table. Both Pastor Joe and Pastor Phil are both phenomenal men of God and devoted leaders of their families and the church body. Everyone we've met there has been super nice, and even after going through a 'new member' class, there hasn't been any pressure to join or donate. After avoiding organized religion for years, this is refreshing. In addition to Sunday services, we've attended a couple other events and seminars, both at the church building and at other sites. The warm and friendly vibe has continued. From everything we've seen, it's a nice place because it's filled with nice, real people. Everyone doesn't agree with everyone, and that's okay. Maybe if there were more open-minded and caring speakers like Reverend Alex in pulpits in other churches, there would be more people in the seats at those churches on Sunday mornings.

They appear to have adopted the concept of an open mass: people come and go during the service basically whenever. This may be to facilitate today's changing attitudes towards church attendance.
