As you look from the street, this place looks a bit junky but as you walk into the driveway, and through the gravel of a parking lot, you enter into a different world. The steps are lined with plants and the atmosphere changes entirely. Opening the screen door, you walk into this cute little lobby with a reception desk with a super cheery receptionist and the smell of whatever lovely scent is this week/months favourite. The house (and that's what it seems like) is a beautiful old historic mansion. When going back into the rooms (which every single one has quiet please, session in progress) it's literally like a beautiful maze with two beautiful staircases... One that's not in use because I'm guessing it's not safe, but it's still beautiful. From what I've seen, the staff is more than friendly, they greet you and make you feel welcome and the place is just extremely comfortable. If you haven't been in for a massage, give them a ring. They have spots available all the time and the people coming out seem quite happy about it.... If you need to see a mental health expert then have a look on their site, they have the best of the best there.

I heard the bell ringing above the door every time someone walked in, and could hear the chit chat of the staff outside my room. Normally I wouldn't mind, but when I'm basically nude on a table, it's a bit disconcerting to hear people a metre away! I walked in and was in the massage room in a mere five minutes, though I did hear other people being turned away after - an appointment may be necessary. I discovered Vigorous Thai about two and a half years ago and have been dropping in for my monthly "combination massage" (half Swedish lotion style relaxation and half Thai twisties) ever since. The staff here is extremely friendly, from the smiling guy who mans the front desk to the very polite massage staff themselves. Opt for a relaxation, Thai, or combo message (with choice of elevated table or traditional mat on the floor) for 30, 45, or 60 minutes at a time. I usually go for the hour long option, which is only 65 dollars if you pay with cash. The massages are usually good, but as with any place where you don't choose your masseuse, quality varies. Out of 20 plus visits I've only had two or three dud experiences which I think speaks fairly well for Vigorous Thai. Be clear about desired pressure, health issues, and particular areas you'd like your masseuse to focus on. Most of the woman won't ask and you'll get a better massage if you are clear about what you want. Don't forget your free bottle of water and mentos candy on your way out!
