Great food, however they charged me 3% to use my debit card. The clerk does not know the difference between a debit card and a credit card.

This super cute market is really like a mini food hall consisting of six vendors. There isn't much in way of seating inside but there is a lovely park next door as well as some tables out front. This market is located inside the old Wilbur Chocolate Factory which is now the Wilbur Lititz Hotel and 48 on the Park condos. As far as I can tell the Market is only accessible from the street and not via the hotel lobby. This is a great spot for a quick snack or meal. Here are the six vendors: 1. Whiff Roasters 2. Zig's Bakery & Cafe 3. Rooster Street Butcher (meats, cheese, spreads & crackers) 4. Presto Fast Italian (quick pasta dishes) 5. Oola Bowls (acai bowls and smoothie) 6. Waltz Wine Room I'm sorry I didn't get any pictures! I visited on a Sunday morning and it was fairly busy and I didn't want to invade anyone's space or privacy with picture taking but darn, I sure wish I had a few photos to show off the cute interior and scrumptious foods.

The biggest downside that holds it back from a 5 star review is that it is served on white sandwich bread. Give this thing a roll and its a 5 star! If you have never been to Hummers takeout counter, their chicken tenders are incredible! A completely underrated place! The potato wedges are also top notch! Mac and cheese is delicious, creamy and packed with flavor! A couple benches outside to sit and eat, but mostly this is a takeout spot. If you have never been to Hummers or their stand at Roots on Tuesday, their staff is awesome. For 20+ years they have treated me and my family with respect and kindness. The employees here make this place even more incredible. The prices of their meats are definitely fair and the quality is great!

Very few places have chicken croquettes anymore and (per my husband) if you haven't had them before, you are just missing out. And the staff are incredibly friendly. I used to get my chicken, bacon, cheese - basically all of my deli and meat needs here (well actually at Roots on Tuesdays - where they have a stand) when I lived in PA and I MISS IT! Now I only get to treat myself on holidays when I look forward to a bad of beef jerky and cheese beef sticks, not to mention their chicken salad and scrapple. If you haven't tried them you are missing out!

Mostly it's where we stayed (shoutout to Airbnb), but also it was the fun and different experiences/places we visited around the Intercourse/Lancaster area like Stoltzfus Meats. This store doubles as a place to eat at as well as a spot to get plenty of (I bet you can guess) meats to cook up in the privacy of your own home. Normally, a place like Stoltzfus might have been somewhere we may not have even ventured into, but wanting to spend as much time in that aforementioned Airbnb, we saw the great Yelp score of this spot and what it offered in the way of food to cook, and so Stoltzfus was visited with a meaty mission in hand. What does Stoltzfus offer (beyond just saying meat)? Well they really do have a massive selection of different types of steak, pork, chicken, and even some non-meat meals (pizzas, mac and cheese, etc.). Some items come frozen which would have worked well for us had we been staying longer than a couple of days, but we decided to hit up the counter and get some fresh uncooked items that we could make for dinner (and breakfast). Once being helped (which was quick as there were many people working) the staff member was friendly (albeit we had a little confusion about the amount of sausage types we could buy) and we were able to purchase a few different flavored-sausages, some macaroni salad, and some breakfast sausages to make the next morning. After grabbing these we looked at some of the prepackaged meats and found some marinated chicken strips to get as well. Once back at the Airbnb, we cooked everything up and the meats definitely were tender and flavorful. The macaroni salad was also pretty solid. Though nothing blew me away, the meal we made was great for the price we spent. Best item was probably the breakfast sausages we had the next morning. They were a maple apple flavor and dang were they delicious. Overall, Stoltzfus Meats did the trick for our little Airbnb getaway. Perhaps not a place we would have ventured to if not staying in a location that warranted some potential cooking, I am still glad we got to experience Stoltzfus and would definitely return if we did end up back in that part of the Pennsylvania state with the need to make a meal. Even if I physically don't come back, I know my mind will at least continue to return here!
