The man behind the label is Andrzej K Pytel - who studied and worked as an architect until around 2004, when he quit the day job and launched his fashion label, SIZE. Methinks he made the right move - within 6 months, his first ever collection was available in 12 boutiques along the east coast of Oz. In 2009 he launched House of Ezis - and got into draping and folding and more "geometric" designs - the kinds of things instore at the moment. And his skill with a sewing machine has won him some seriously cool fans. He's been published in Oyster, Culture, Dazed and Confused to name a few. I love his digi prints (which he designs himself) and the awesome shapes of his clothes. I particularly ove the strapless white dress (part of his Unit collection) which is draped and shaped and pointed. Sort of like a work of art on a hanger.

I made the mistake of paying for the dress up front, thus I was stuck with the dress, I ended up coming back for 3 fittings and buy the end the dress given to me was not even mine, but the demo one off the rack. I fail to believe how a 'professional' designer can even make this mistake and not even apologize, so I spent half of my special day in the wrong dress which ruined ALL the professional pictures as it was far to big and ended up with no refund..... I would never recommend using this business to anyone! Ever!

They specialise…read morein evening and formal wear as well as bridesmaids dresses and some jewellery, handbags and shoes. They are a great place to go for a school formal, race day or if you are looking for bridesmaid's dresses. I was first introduced to Gossip Gowns at a fundraising night last October where they had a gorgeous range of gowns on display. There was a few dresses I could easily have bought. Unfortunately, being a small selection o f stock at the event they did not have my size but I was impressed with the lady serving and the style of the gowns anyway. They have some long and flowing more formal dresses, plus some bright and fun cocktail length dresses.

Information for all Brides!!!! (Gossip Gowns Review)…read more I would not recommend Gossip Gowns to anyone looking for bridal or formal wear. They have poor customer service, are not transparent on their terms and conditions and will take your money any way they can! I recently put a bridesmaids dress on layby and paid a $150 deposit (the total dress cost was $340). We decided on a different bridesmaids dress and when we went to cancel the order they told us that it wasn't a lay-by agreement and refused to repay any of the deposit amount!!! This appears to be a part of the business model they have going where they call a layby a 'special order' (which does not appear right at law) and thus maintain that if you cancel your order you are not entitled to any refund. Gossip Gowns orders the dress the day you pay the deposit and its beneficial to them if you cancel the order as this means you forfeit your deposit and they can then re-sell the dress at the normal price of $340 and also keep the $150 deposit you paid, making a much larger profit on the dress then they ordinarily would have. We have lodged a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading but suspect this is something Gossip Gowns gets away with all the time because for most people a loss of $150 would not be worth even a few hours of their time. Bottom line - give Gossip Gowns a miss if you are looking for bridal or formal wear.

As I entered I wasn't greeted but looked at while they continued to chat like the earth was running out of air, eventually one came over and asked if I was ok, he then picked the first suit out and flung it to me to try on and went back to his projectile garbage chat with his colleague. After stepping out and saying that I didn't like it and him saying he will bring me another and waiting 5 minutes I stuck my head out and asked for some help. Both of them had gone over to another customer that had entered the store and left me for dry. That was the worst customer service I have had in my life and I am appalled that it came from a company with such a good reputation. Shame, as I was prepared to spend $800+

Instead of tending to finding my bag, the owner decided to join conversations relating to other customers coming in after myself. I ask if he please could fetch my bag from the back so I could get going - and then it started. They both turned to me said they didn't take orders, calling me typical American and Trump supporter. OMG! I'm btw not American. But why would you start profiling anyone?! they laughed and said - I could see that - when I explained that English isn't my first language ( after asking them to "fetch" my bag instead of "get"). Racist. Not customer friendly, sarcastic and actually very slow - as after 4 weeks it still wasn't completed. I do not recommend place.

Walking through the doors you're greeted by a carefully collected emporium of unique, kitsch and Etsy-esque wares. The stores motto says: "A haven for sexy lumberjacks, dorky girls and lovers of worldly design and trinketry." Couldn't have said it better myself. There's the mint green brogues, the gold boots, Field Notes pencils and notebooks and a geometric print onesie that I imagine is only able to be worn by a Ginger bearded man with a fox hat on his head. As I'm distracted by the wonderful eye candy within this absolutely happy cabin I chatter with the owner's partner, Jaime and this is all part of the experience. It is so inviting and homely, as a cabin might be, and I want to pull up a chair, grab a coffee and continue nattering away. Truth be told, the space would be rather fitting for a in-store cafe and maybe even a roasty faux fire to give a true cabin feel. And points to the owners for creating a store where you walk out feeling happy, creative, embracing your dorkiness and plotting how you might acquire a few more things from their range. Joining venues like The End, I think The Happy Cabin will be one of the first in a line of new additions to West End that will only add to the revitalisation of this end of Vulture Street.

I was pleased to correctly identify the shoes and bags as coming from ex-Etsy store Golden Ponies, where everything is beautifully handmade in Mexico. The gent behind the counter informed me that almost everything in the Happy Cabin comes from Etsy sellers, so that's pretty great. Having such a small and hand-picked collection of wares, I'd love to see a couple of plus-size items on the racks too. There are only so many bags, shoes and notebooks I can pick up while glancing at the stacks of clothes racks I can't buy from. Speaking of notebooks, though... I'm a stationery addict, and I couldn't leave without letting myself buy the limited edition National Crop Edition of Field Notes memo books. It was nice to observe that there isn't a ridiculous retail markup on any of the items in store, either - stay off etsy and just visit the Happy Cabin, Brisbane.
