I bought a CORSX face wash, blackhead toner and oil-free moisturizer, the coveted Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Airy Sun Stick and a few sheet masks. I've been coming to this little shop for years, and always make it a point to stop in and pick up some Asian skincare goods when I'm in Chinatown. This time was no different, with the exception that there were a lot more customers due to the holiday season. Many people were there for the same reason as I was, preparing for the NYC cold and it's vastly effects on winter skin. The SA's really know the products well, and I highly recommend that you ask for their assistance otherwise you may become overwhelm by all they they have to offer. I ended up with some holy grail essence from Mary & May thanks to their help. Now your girl has the glass skin I also picked up some heavy duty moisturizers to protect me from the ash during this brick weather season. But everyone who works here is so knowledgeable and friendly. I've been here twice now and have loved my experience and the purchases I've made each time. The first time I was in the market for a toner and moisturizer to help my very dry skin. The person I spoke to took his time to walk me through a few options, explaining the pros and cons of each. The moisturizer he gave me changed my skin, so I came back a second time to restock. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember the name. The woman working here was so good that she pulled up the item based on my description of the bottle it came in. It was out of stock, but she was able to put in a request for me to get a new one ordered. She recommended a Vitamin C serum that's well suited to my sensitive skin, which I've been loving ever since. Since I'm not much of a online shopper, I was excited to find that this very tiny store carried most of the popular K-beauty brands...Cosrx, Man:yo, Missha, Haruharu, and they also had Rovectin! A brand that I love. I recently ordered the mugwort clay mask by Isntree online only to find that they carry it here. There was a very nice guy on the floor answering people's skincare questions and he recommended the mugwort essence for my skin. I will definitely be back. Again very tiny store. If I could give zero stars to the service and lack of respect I would. Some products looking very attractive but they are not good for sensitive skin. I used to come here a lot to get serums, masks, creams until I brought my friends and family and they treated us like we were trash. I was kindly asking the lady with curly hair and glasses about the product and she would respond very much annoyed as if I was asking her a personal question. The other lady at the register with short hair kept rolling her eyes because I was speaking with my dad in another language who was about to pay $580 since he was visiting me and was trying to help me buy some things. After asking her what does she recommend and opinions on products while we were leaving she kept rolling her eyes as if we were disgusting . K-beauty paradise! This shop is TINY so they have a sign at the door that only 16 people can be in there at a time. On a sunny Saturday afternoon, it is needless to say it was at capacity and some boyfriends/husbands were waiting outside. I was surprised by the variety of products they can fit in there and the store is impeccably organized. The products are separated into categories such as serums, sunscreen, cleanser etc. so it is easy to find stuff if you have something in mind. The person working while I was there was extremely attentive and tried to help out as much as they could while checking everyone out efficiently. In terms of pricing, it is very competitive with similar products you would get from brands available at Sephora for example. I learned that they have a rewards program and you get a 10% birthday discount during your birthday month! I would love to come back when it is less crowded to learn more about the amazing products but can't say I wasn't satisfied with my selection. 10/10 will definitely come back soon read more

There are also some brands that are exclusively sold here, which include I'm From, Purito, iUNIK, and Isntree. As for the price-point at oo35mm, most items are fairly valued and comparable to online prices. If there is a markup, it isn't too high either. After struggling for many years with oily/dehydrated skin, large pores, and frequent acne, I fell in love with Korean beauty. During the past year and a half, I plunged myself into the dark world of skin masks and strange animal products (think bee venom and snail secretions). I saw almost immediate results and my skin has thanked me for it. I usually order from Soko Glam because they're here in the US and shipping is quick- they also recently had 20% off Klairs and free full size blue cream with $85 orders. I also order online at RRS but the shipping can be pricey and takes longer to arrive. I wanted to grab a few things I had run out of and didn't want to wait for my order in the mail. INSIDE: I went on a Friday (bad idea) and it was hectic. The store is very small and can get claustrophobic. It is a narrow one-room store and when you open the door you will inevitably bump into someone if there's a line at the register. The employees were all very friendly and helpful in locating all items I needed - everything is organized by brand. They give you a little basket to put goodies in. PRICES: are approximately the same as SokoGlam, much more expensive than RRS, and some items were cheaper or more expensive than Amazon depending on when you order since prices on amazon change often. At the register she told me the no sebum mineral pact was on sale, but I think she made a mistake. On the shelf the sticker was $9.99 but the receipt was $14.99. RETURNS: Be advised, they only accept exchanges for faulty products within 7 days. I ended up ordering more klairs toner online at a 20% discount online and realized I wasn't able to return the one I bought in store because there was nothing wrong with it. I ran to skincare in my late 20s when an OBGYN basically (but not literally) grabbed me by the shoulders, looked me dead in the eye and warned "you gotta..you gotta take care of your skin. Which...I don't know something about being in a vulnerable setting being given genuine advice about something unrelated to her field by what I could tell was a beautiful woman kind of snapped me into it. And oh boy has it been a fun, fun journey. If you kind of think you want to start taking care of your skin but don't know where to begin, this place is for you. If you dabble in Asian Beauty and follow influences/bloggers/subreddits, then this place is for you. If you're an advanced "throw any new trend on my face bro" skincare guru, this place is for you. For a while, I was certain they trawled a certain subreddit and made sure they had whatever was popular. But they also have almost anything I think I've just heard about and definitely ones I haven't, so it's not a "follow the masses" type place, they lead. I would now consider myself pretty solid on understanding my skin, and from the first time I went to when I went in recently, I always seem to find something new and close to, if not actual HG status for me. Because they offer such a WIDE range of products across different price ranges and purposes, they have an insane amount of brands that's not even worth listing here. If you've heard of it in AB, then they probably have it here. Check the website. And they don't just carry skincare items. There's makeup, makeup tools, hair, and cute headbands. And the best part of everything is that every staff member I've come across is not only sweet and helpful, it seems as if they were hired to have knowledge and interest about skincare and various products (which is way more than most places do). And for people (like me!) who sometimes likes to just go in and browse (because they have testers for most of their items), if you tell them you're just looking, they will leave you alone to do that. If you ask them for suggestions (anything from beginner to more advanced), they will rattle off a list of products for you to try based on your skincare type, needs and goals. Because, based on their signs about staff favorites, they even try it on themselves. Even when giving you samples (after a purchase) they will actually ask you what your skin type is and cater the samples to you and what you've purchased. So amazing. I finally made the trek to this store after getting frustrated by yesstyle's slow shipping and bad service (products arriving damaged two months after placing an order and not even getting reimbursed), iherb's perpetual lack of inventory, and my skin's getting destroyed by western skincare. Wow, I am impressed! The store is hard to recognize from outside, so make sure you write down the physical address before heading over or you might miss it. From the outside, it kinda looks like a nail salon, and you have to walk up the stairs to the second floor to enter. While the store is tiny (literally the size of a walk-in closet), somehow I was able to find almost everything I was looking for. Magically they have all the best recent products from the top brands... it's as if the owners are following the same "skinfluencers" on youtube as I do?... They mostly have Korean skincare, but they also have some top Japanese and even western brands, like Hado Labo and Hero. I LOVE the fact that they have testers for literally every product they sell, which is super helpful as reading ingredients and watching online reviews only go so far in terms of figuring out what works for your skin. One thing to note is that their return policy is quite strict--if I remember correctly, you have one week to return a product, and you get store credit only, and only if the product is damaged. Hence, if you have sensitive skin like I do, I recommend putting on some product from the tester and walking around the store for a bit to see how your skin feels. It's not foolproof but it should help. On the plus side, I feel like this strict policy means that all the products they sell are actually unopened and never used before, which is not always the case in other places that sell skincare and cosmetics. The staff seemed friendly and helpful, but they also leave you alone to browse if you decline their assistance, which I appreciate. I am deducting one star because I spent nearly $100 when I was there and I received only ONE tiny a** sample! I know we are living in tough economic times, but COME ON! For the amount that I spent, I feel like I deserved more than one single-usage sample. Situation: After the summer weather had been particularly brutal on my skin, I decided to jump onto the Korean skin care wagon. I did a little internet research to find some of the top recommended products, and then headed to oo35mm instead of buying them online. After some assistance from Cai (sp?), I left with Bioderma Micelle Solution ($29.99), Innisfree Long Wear Cushion ($23.99), Innisfree Green Tea Mineral Mist ($7.99), Leaders AC Clear Treatment Mask ($3.99) and Trouble Minus Smart Laser Mask ($5.50). My grand total, including my member discount and tax came to $77.80. At checkout, my cashier threw in a bunch of free samples for my skin type, and I also got a freebie necklace for spending more than $5. All of it went into a cute, fruit-themed reusable pouch. Woo hoo! I had been to oo35mm once previously to get some Prettia Bubble Hair dye in Dark Chocolate (which I loved because it complemented my skin tone but was so subtle that only my stylist could tell I had coloured my hair!) PROS -Helpful but not overbearing staff: I browsed for a little bit before one of their salespeople, Cai, approached me and asked if I needed help. I appreciated that she gave me a little space to breathe before jumping in. I told her what I was looking for, which was a good cushion for the summer, and asked her what mist she recommended. She was very knowledgeable, inquiring about my skin type (combination, acne-prone) and providing product knowledge. -Vast selection: They have all the big brand names I came across while scouring the net, and while the store is quite small, it is undeniably neat. Clever woman sent me home with two moisturizer samples from Sooryehan Bon, which I am now completely in love with, and will be returning to get. I am so grateful that the Dr. Jart color correction cream that was out of stock literally everywhere and lead me to this absolute gem. I had been looking all over, in all the usual places (Sephora, Space NK, Blue Mercury etc.) for this product when I googled Dr. Jart nyc and the search led me to oo35mm. I was able to check whether they had it in stock on their website and lo and behold, they did! They were also selling it at a lower price than anywhere else. I scheduled a pickup for an hour later as they have very limited in-store shopping due to the pandemic and my order was ready in about 15 minutes. I had to provide proof of purchase and identity to ensure someone else wasn't taking something I had paid for and the woman assisting me was a delight. She offered me some samples and her help if I had any questions. She added that the website is kept up to date in the case that I was ever looking for anything else and that costumers were always welcome to contact the store if they had any concerns or even if they needed guidance on their skincare routine. I'm updating my review because this store has dramatically improved their product selection over the years. They know exactly what's in demand and what to keep in stock. I really enjoy coming here. Maybe management has changed their training style but the staff here now lets you walk around freely and just browse. Previously, they followed you around in the tiny little store. I love coming here to stock up on goodies. The store has also gotten better with rotating their testers. When I first visited and throughout the years, some of the testers were years old. Now it's probably a few months to a year. There is a sunscreen tester from 2015 and the sunscreen has been replaced with a new product already. But I feel like their skincare selection is the bulk of their store. There are some cons though. The markup is still something that bothers me a little. Occasionally you'll find something for $3-$5 more than the actual retail price. It also means going to k-town to buy it for cheaper. Certain cosrx products are much cheaper in k-town like the good morning cleanser. The store is tiny. It's like 5 steps forward and back and one step side to side. I'm a petite person too. So I don't know how taller individuals feel when they come in here. Certain staff members are more helpful than others. I really don't like the ones who are so nice and talkative to their coworker. But then doesn't give even half an effort while I'm checking out. Like I'm buying over $100 here, at least pretend I'm there. I also hate the samples here. They only have a few types of samples. It's cramped in here so tread carefully! It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the back of their store to the front. They sure maximize their space really well! Lots of products stacked along the walls WITH testers! How awesome is that?! They don't HAVE to have testers but do because they care about us testing the products before buying them! Loooove this place! Shelves are jam packed with so many products, especially Korean skin care. They also have Japanese products, particularly the very popular dolly wink. I visit this store about every 2-3 months to buy Liese hair dye, which is the cheapest in Chinatown at only $14! Neighboring pharmacies or beauty stores can sell it for up to $20. Love the reasonable prices here. They have a huuuuuuge selection of skin masks, like face masks and pore strips. These are some of the cheapest prices I've ever seen for great quality.
