I…read moreencourage deep reflection without a defensive response if the owner and stylist want to provide a response as to why there was a lack of an apology to ripping out my earring and making me bleed So I gave this salon TWO tries and assumed the first time was just a bad experience and both times I had the same hair stylist. The first time, this woman was NOT ATTENTIVE AT ALL. As she was working with my layers and bangs/combing through them she yanked hard and pulled out my helix piercing CLEAN THROUGH AND I WAS BLEEDING. It was more of the fact that she told me "you should've told me you had earrings" which was just her trying to make me accountable for her not paying attention. There was a moment of silence and absolutely NO APOLOGY was given to me. The two workers in the salon were just silent and rummaging through what to do because she gave me back my earring with my blood on it and for those who have cartilage piercings, they are expensive and take a long time to heal. She ripped it through my DAMN EAR that's how hard she combed through it. I am young and have social anxiety so I was trying so hard to be understanding in the moment but she finished up and the lady at the front desk gave me a tiny bag to put my earring in. But there was ultimately no apology...just the hair stylist saying she's usually so attentive with her customer's earrings (which counters when she said it should've been my responsibility to tell HER that I had them..well if she was so attentive she should've seen them)... When I paid I think I should've gotten a discount because...I left the salon bleeding...AND THEN THE FRONT DESK LADY had the audacity to ask FOR A TIP...I did my best to see past it and knew the haircut was decent so I still left one. Yet I left with no apology and the hair stylist not offering to pay for the earring to be put back in when she knew I was gonna go to a piercing salon nearby to see what the damage was. It was just so frustrating trying to be calm when no one wanted to take accountability. The second time I came in, I wanted to give it a second chance because it was just a trim to me but when I was assigned the same stylist, I began having an anxiety attack and I was unsure if she remembered me but this time I pointed out that I had earrings and braced myself. This time my ears were safe but because I asked for face framing layers....THIS BOTCHED MY BANGS DISGUSTINGLY. She took out such a huge chunk and the bangs didn't even frame my face. It was just 2 BLOCKS NEXT TO MY FACE. Just two blocks sitting next to my face that when I finished I immediately contacted another hair salon to take me in and to fix it. The new stylist was so kind to me and he was much more attentive and straight up said "these are not face framing..I'll fix it for you because the past stylist took out so much. I'm gonna trim a new section so you can have face framing bangs but I will leave the longer pieces she cut out so they can grow and begin blending with the back" From the photos, you can see MY BLOOD on my fingers with the front desk sign in the background, the second photo is the very stylist holding up my hair while I tried to see the damage, and in the third photo was the second time I went and had my bangs ruined. To the dear stylist: If you were so attentive to earrings why did you flip it around and victim blame me by saying I should've told you? I think overall it speaks volumes that you guys had my review deleted and want to avoid it still. Guess things never change

Looking back on my October 6, 2012 wedding, there were so many emotions. One thing I did not even have to think about on my day was makeup, because I knew after meeting with and trying out Cynthia--I would look and feel fantastic. Makeup is something I ADORE. I have a vast collection and didn't want to trust "just anyone." I had previously trialed another artist before Cynthia. I wanted to make sure the make-up stayed put, that I didn't look like a clown, yet I had "enough" on to make me the best version of myself. Cynthia came to my home about a month before the wedding, and I knew almost as soon as meeting her, she was the one! She travels with her own director's chair and a mini-suitcase full of lashes! She has just about every product they make. She was able to articulate what I should invest in for the big day, just two products--a finishing powder and long wear lip stick--to apply throughout the night. Really, I think I only re-applied once, as everything STAYED perfectly! Cynthia was able to make not only my makeup fantastic, but also my mother and my four friends... she moved seamlessly from one to another... making sure to take into consideration their wishes and wants... as well as their styles. For my wedding, I just wanted everyone to feel their best, and Cynthia certainly made this possible. Did I mention she also recommended the hair stylist---- as I had had a really hard time finding someone who was able to make curls stay all day in long hair. She nailed it, knew someone and they rocked it too. Besides her clear talents as a make-up artist, she is personable friendly and super easy going! She just gets it! I am trying to figure out when I can use her again?! I mean I must have more events that I need professional makeup done!? Don't hesitate to use Cynthia for your wedding, you won't be disappointed... We were blown away by how perfectly she brought out my sister's natural beauty and understood the "natural but refined" look we were after. She is so friendly, warm, professional, and a complete pleasure to be around. On the wedding day she kept everyone relaxed and right on schedule. Several of the other girls in the wedding party very rarely wear make-up and she made them completely comfortable while applying and then more beautiful than I'd ever seen them! Everyone felt great and the make-up lasted perfectly all day. This past summer it was my turn to be the bride! Cynthia was the first vendor I contacted once our date was finalized. Apparently when someone doesn't cover your grays (whites in my case) correctly and you ask them to fix it and this happens twice in a row after each coloring, you are the problem not the person coloring your hair. When he started cutting my hair he asked 'who cut your hair it's really uneven' all shocked but when I told him it was one of his staff and why I booked with him instead his whole demeanor changed and went on to say things like 'well if you don't communicate exactly what you want you might not get good results' again putting on me that my hair was badly cut!!! The owner of this salon is rude and condescending and If his staff messes up he will blame you. No accountability or respect.

When I told her that I had a medical reason for buying a wig and had been prepared to spend the money for several wigs, she said that they had to have the limits. She was not willing to budge. I would NEVER recommend visiting this business, as they clearly do not want to do business with paying customers, especially those with medical conditions that necessitate wearing a wig. Buyer beware that this is not a friendly establishment! I've since visited another wig store with no restrictions on the number of wigs I could try on. That's where I made my purchase, not at Hi-Sense!!!
