Get there and was greeted by Miss Jesse She is the perfect picture of southern hospitality and genuine southern charm, a real champ and blessing to have met. She let me ride her horse ~ "Faith" she was a sweetheart They have 7 horses to choose from based on your style of ride. The Farm Owner is so cool, just a perfect gentleman and loving guy ~ Harold, who came along for the ride and showed me his place. 175 acres of Tennessee's finest land tucked away in the back mountains with Black Angus grazing the land, oh and one special brown Jersey named "Amy" Breath taking views, 2 ponds with a really cool tree forest next to them. I got the blessing of having both Jess and Harold to guide me giving me the lay out of the land. Horses were great, beautiful animals because of course Jesse takes care of them like their her babies They do events there too - weddings, church services, family gatherings due to the beauty of the place. I recommend this place and will go back. There's nothing like being around folks who you feel like you've known for years - that's Jesse and Harold Lastly, the charge was $30 bucks for an hour which beats all of the rest big time and Jesse went over the time too on the trail ride. If and when you go please be sure to give a good tip because they deserve it. Cary

I had just finished an extremely long and hot hike to Edward's Point so they were patient while I asked about everything and made a custom iced coffee and soda and purchased some other goodies from inside the shop. They assured me that, although the coffee shop closed at two, I was welcome to walk up to the barn where the alpacas were in the shade and there were more tables and I could sit and enjoy my drinks and feed them for as long as I wanted. I spoke to a friendly gentleman up there for a few minutes who was cleaning up and then sat for a half hour and enjoyed some alpaca therapy. They've very cute and friendly. Excellent little stop and my drinks and muffin were delicious. Prices were very fair.

My friends and I drove from Dallas, Georgia just to visit Rosie Mae's, and it did not disappoint. The coffee was absolutely delicious (I had the s'mores latte and it was so good), but honestly... the alpacas were the real highlight. I didn't know I needed an alpaca experience in my life until now, and wow, pure joy. Do yourself a favor and make the detour. The girl working at the coffee shop was so sweet, which just added to the whole experience. The vibe was relaxed, unique, and unforgettable. I would 100% return and I'm now low-key inspired to own my own alpaca farm one day . Truly such a special spot.

They let you take one on one time with the goats, pigs, and sheep. The highland cows are great too and they give you plenty of treats to feed the animals. Close to Falls Creek Falls, but also far enough to feel like you can disconnect and enjoy.

What a dream trip to the country!…read more Firstly - Laurie and David are amazing hosts. We so enjoyed talking to them and hearing about how they got all their sweet, friendly animals. The space we stayed in was a small apartment over the garage, and it was good for three women and a 7 month old baby. It was clean and well appointed! We got to interact with goats, pigs, mini horses, alpacas, dogs, cats, highland cows, chickens, and sheep.. it was truly magical to watch the baby interact with all the animals! They were in our backyard, and insanely quiet. I assumed the animals would be heard at all hours, but I didn't hear them once! The only downsides were there wasn't AC in our 1 bedroom apartment, just one window unit in the kitchen. I'm low maintenance except when it comes to getting too hot, so no AC in the bedroom made me nervous. Thankfully they have ceiling fans in every room so we just cranked them up and left the bedroom door open and were comfortable even in the upper 80s. Just something to note if you're sensitive to heat like I am We loved our trip so much that we're planning to come back soon! Thanks again for a wonderful stay with such gentle and sweet animals!

This is an amazing place!!…read more Plenty of parking and port-a-potties We came for unicorn day!! It was amazing! All the horses had beautiful horns and painted hair (like pastel chalk that does not hurt them). All animals are under the most wonderful care and we are given instructions on how to approach them and observe them. Amongst many things we saw a baby chick being hatched, baby bunnies, adult bunnies, donkeys, sheep's, horses, pigs, pony's, goats, doves, chickens, roosters, chicks and of course UNICORNS! Staff was out of this world helpful!! So sweet and kind. It was a hot day and they let my little nephew play in the clean water they had to cool off! We even got a tractor ride! They have a beautiful tree swing and so many cute picture spots! Pack a picnic (but be careful not to throw any food on the ground the animals each have specific diets and we wouldn't want them to eat anything that could hurt their stomachs). Also there is hand sanitizer but I would suggest bringing some soap and water if you want to wash your hands. Just ask for the best place to do that! They have a pretty Montessori style here. You're given help in approaching the animals and donkeys sheep and goats are sitting all around and you can walk around and pet them. There are brushes set aside for you to brush them too!! The more attention specific animals like the bigger bunnies were handled with the wonderful caregivers! Allowing people to hold the more socialized animals even! Also the unicorns were beautiful with flower leis and gorgeous horns! Absolutely a must to do for any birthday, field trip, or just a way to get kids used to animals in a wonderfully comfortable setting.

You pull up and there is ample parking right outside the farm. We were greeted by one of the Wilson's children (added that nice family feel) where we purchased admission. $10- they take cash, card and Venmo. From there you have fresh kettle corn being cooked and bagged, and a nice size area to purchase pumpkins and other goodies. You can hop on the tractor and take a ride around some of the property or they also had a little 'train' for the kids - super cute. The corn maze is straight back from the entrance - it's huge and you can get lost - take note of the aerial photo at the entrance . When you come out, if you start to head back where you came, you'll see a wildflower path up ahead, was a nice stroll up through there, and wraps you back around to another pumpkin patch. That's where the 'action' takes place... cannon and slingshot action! Here you can pay for a slingshot or cannon experience; we did both. Slingshot was fun, mini pumpkins - $1 for 2 shots and you totally get that 'pull back far far far sitting on the ground experience' - loved it! The cannon - well- I loved the power in between my hands!! That sucker shot a NICE distance. This was $2/shot or $5 for 3. Well worth it!!! We didn't carry cash on us, so after grabbing a wagon/cart up front (there a few to use - or bring your own!) we grabbed a variety of pumpkins in the field - ghost, green, orange, etc... then we ended up paying for the cannon experience when we purchased the pumpkins. Things to note: Bathrooms on site, cards accepted, pumpkin patch, kettle corn, tractor rides, cannon and slingshot, corn maze, 'train' for the kids. I spotted some fire pits, might be able to use those as well, just ask! We spoke with Lynn (Mrs. Wilson) and learned all about the farm. She and her family really put their heart into this and you can tell. This farm has been in Mr. Wilson's family since the 1800s!! Cannot say enough good things about this Farm and how kind the entire Wilson family is. Bring the family, go with friends, fly solo - whatever, just do it!
