I made the mistake of hopping in under the sheet, and the lady was mad. 2. I was covered with a basic scratchy towel. The majority of my massage was given over the towel with no lotion/oil. 3. I asked the lady many times to go a little softer, however she continued to apply deep pressure, using her elbows. Hours later, my entire back and neck hurts. 4. Nothing was put under my feet or behind my knees during my massage, which put a lot of pressure on my lower back. 5. When I had to turn over, I used the towel to cover my chest, but the lady ripped it away from me, leaving me totally exposed and very uncomfortable. There has to be something illegal about that. Very unprofessional and I can't believe they think doing this is acceptable behavior. 6. During the last part of my massage, she started having a loud conversation with someone on the other side of the door. How this promotes a calm and soothing experience is beyond me. I've had over a hundred massages and Mimi is a Diamond! She worked predominantly on my back for an hour and was conscious of my pressure preference (which is strong). She found pressure points, and knots that I never realized were there. She also does productive stretches to measure how well the muscles were responding to the massage, and my back now feels tremendous. To further establish trust, she explained everything she would be doing during the course of her treatment. Before beginning the treatment, I felt very anxious. (A symptom of the bipolar/anxiety) As Andrea began to work on me, I began to feel the anxiety work itself out and melt away. (It sounds like a cliche', but it really did make me feel like I was melting ... ) Soon, my breathing became much more steady, my body became much more relaxed, and I could really begin to feel my energy field begin to realign itself. Reiki can be very powerful, as certain attachments can give way and trapped energy begins to move. During the treatment I began to weep.
