I will admit I have tried about 90% of the nail salons in the greater Nashville area, and there is a reason I have to hop around. That was until I found this place. Parking might be a challenge but it's worth it. My nails never break after I come here. Everyone is nice, and not too impatient. They don't pressure me to buy unnecessary upgrades . They always serve a Diet Coke when I ask for one. I'm in and I'm out, unless they are busier. I can't vouch for the nail art folks. I keep my nails pretty simple. So if you need something extra like rhinestones or bling or extravagant designs , you might need to call ahead and ask them if they can do that. However, I'm not an aspiring Kardashian, nor do I have a pop label record deal. So I'm pretty satisfied with a plain OPI dip nail and call it a day. It's hard enough for me to choose the color. If I had to choose more I would be overwhelmed. I never get pressured to make a decision too fast, they don't rush the experience, and it actually feels like self care. Also I have never had my cuticles cut to bleed or filed my living skin here. Don't doesn't hurt . Just a high quality manicure. That's all I need. read more

This is your average nail salon. We were able to get an appointment same day which was very nice. They have a few options for pedicures and we got the deluxe for $45. It included a sugar scrub and supposedly a longer message. We were offered a drink, and we just asked for a bottle of water. The employees were super nice, but both of our pedicures seemed rushed. We were in and out in 30 minutes. The quality could have been better as well. I had some polish on my skin, and part of my pinky toe nail didn't have paint on it. My fiancé was bummed they didn't use a "cheese grater" on his feet. Gross I know, but most places do use those on him, and he loves it. But the sugar scrub message did feel really good. I'm a local and have been going to this nail salon as long as it has been open. At least 15 years, is my guess. It is my favorite of all of the nail salons in town. 95% of the time I get a pedicure, so I don't have much experience with manicures. I don't have the patience to sit through them, nor the time needed to keep on coming in to maintain them. I always end up with a good nail tech for my pedicures. I never feel rushed - but I do avoid Saturdays and Sundays, when possible. They always offer a drink. And the quality of the work lasts for weeks and weeks, usually at least a month if not much longer! I hate writing negative reviews, especially two in a row... but here I am. I've been to Serenity at least 6 times. Most times 3/4 stars. But the last few visits, 1/2 stars. Color selection is not good, strike one. Today I was there, for a pedicure, and he asked if I wanted my nails cut. I said no, just filed. He started cutting. I told him no again, please just file. He looked up and smiled and kept cutting. Didn't understand me. I am very understanding of different languages and accepting of all, but if you are providing a service and cannot understand an answer then that is an issue. Only gave me one coat of color, a messy one at that. Had to clean it up myself once I got home. This place used to be a little better but it has just not done well lately... Well, visiting this nail salon was a big waste of time and money. I came in really hoping to get my feet cleaned up after a long month at work. It was more about the scrub up and dead skin removal for me than the polish... but boy did they find a way to make both things disappointing. I would give this pedicure a 2/10 and that's just because hot towels are so nice. I can confidently say that the guy who gave me a pedicure is not qualified in any way and should not be doing pedicures, maybe even on himself. I saw a girls TikTok saying this place was good but I was highly disappointed. First off, I called to make an appointment since I normally do nail art and want to make sure someone can do it. And they HEAVILY advertise nail art on their website. I got there and it was clear they didn't write down that I made an appointment. I showed my nail art idea right away and the man said okay someone else will do the nail art. The whole experience felt very very rushed and the man was very aggressive with my nails. Horrible experience. Paid $65 for dip but he didn't do an actual manicure - no soaking hands in water, didn't touch my cuticles, no lotion or hand massage. Then, did more coats and thicker dip than I've ever had anywhere else. They filed those layers down and then added more. I was hesitant to come here since they don't have great reviews, but the convenience to where I live was nice. I've been back several times now, and have had wonderful service every time! My nails are perfect and no matter who does them, they frequently ask to make sure I like the shape/color/etc. They also fixed one of my dip nails for free after I closed it in a door and chipped the dip. I also found this place from a girl on TikTok. I saw some negative reviews on yelp, but I wanted to give it a try. I called and asked how much it would be for an acrylic fill with gel and I was told $60. I got an acrylic fill with gel but with french tips and I was charged $70. By the end of the appointment I noticed that one hand was a lot darker than the other and I had to go back in and get it fixed. Felt a little rushed too. They were nice about fixing it. After getting it fixed my nails looked good but I don't think it was worth $70 plus a tip just for a fill. I asked how much they charge for a full set with gel, and they said about $90 which I also think is crazy. He did a fine job on the pedicure, but with the manicure, he left me in front of two fans to dry my nails and went to work on other clients. I used to LOVE coming to serenity!! They are always clean and attentive. However after a few month break due to work obligations, I came in on a Friday afternoon. When removing my previous gel polish she ripped off 1/2 of my nail! Ouch. Then I asked for a small trim on my nails as I was growing them out... I was left with practically nubs on my right hand and a normal length on my left. The polish was sloppy and not close to the cuticle at all. At the end I showed the tech and frond desk and they offered to file my left hand and risk ruining the polish. I declined and have no plans to return. Horrible job. Literally one of the worst manicures I've ever had in my life. I get gel manicures weekly and decided to try serenity due to convenience. The paint was completely messy and came onto the skin around my nails. When I pointed it out to the nail artist to please clean up the paint, she blamed it on me by saying that since my hand wasn't laying flat, the paint ran off the sides. Are you kidding? She never requested an adjustment of my hand while painting them? Additionally, her effort to fix the paint was made by cutting my nails extremely short and she even cut some of my skin off. I had to tell her to please stop, as I was in pain. She appeared extremely annoyed with me and when she went to apply the lotion at the end, she hardly rubbed it in. I was so ready to get out of there because it felt like my hands were being tortured. Don't usually write reviews, but couldn't not say something this time. Usually have a great experience at Serenity and go there every 2-3 weeks for manicure and pedicure. Yesterday, I went in for my usual, had a great experience with my pedicure (great massage, great technician, toenails look great), but my manicure was pretty bad. The technician spent very little time filing/shaping my nails. Started to paint the gel polish and it was a complete mess. Instead of fixing it then, he let it set under the light. Then once all coats were set, he went in and clipped off all of the mess which included my skin and parts of my nails. Now my nails are misshapen and sore from the "fix". From now on, I will make an appointment with specific technicians and will make sure I don't get the particular male technician again. read more
