I had 45 minutes to spare between lunch and a hair appt at Blo (tough day) so called to see if I could get a manicure. Back home in Chicago I'm in and out within 30 minutes with manicures, but maybe they don't move quite as fast here. 30 minutes into my dazzle dry ( they get a star for having dazzle dry!) I realized I wasn't going to be in done if the pace kept up so I nicely let my nail technician know I had to be at an appt in 15 minutes. She got super nervous and started shaking while doing my nails, which didn't help speed up the process at all. I had more red nail polish paint on my fingers than the actual nails at that point. She kept saying under her breath that she would pray for me and was clearly very unhappy that I was rushing her. It was partially my fault for not asking ahead of time if they would finish within 45 minutes, but I've really never had such a slow and poor manicure. My dazzle dry manicures usually last about 2 weeks, but based on the looks of this one days later don't think that's happening this time around. I'm sure Dallas has no shortage of good nail salons so I'll have to try another one the next time I'm in town. read more

I went here for a spa day and was so disappointed. The menu of services was extensive - after I selected a modest package of treatments, the employees aggressively insisted on upgrading each service. The technicians rushed thru my mani/pedi - which was not relaxing at all. The manicurist was very rough. When I asked her to please be gentle with my right hand- due to chronic pain from surgeries - she responded, "if you would just relax/ it wouldn't hurt!" Went for my second visit. The first was during Covid. They did a great job with a basic manicure and pedicure. I went again and was disappointed at the service and price. One women attempted my nails and they came out ok. However, the price was way more than I thought. When I asked about the price to make sure, the woman at the front did not care. They may be a great option for very basic service, but do not ask for designs or any than a one polish job. They do both the pedicure and manicure at the same time. It took over 2 hours to do both. I had two different experiences from my visits. I wish there was better consistency. Will have to find another salon. read more

I don't like giving my money to con artists and this exactly how I felt today. The nail techs were very sweet and attentive and $25 for spa manicure and $38 for spa pedicure I get...then I get to the front to pay and it's $103. They tell me it was $20 for upgrade of gel....what the hell. $20 bucks to upgrade on manicure and pedicure...that's $40 extra dollars tacked on without advising me. What a ripoff and my nails are so basic looking. Will definitely never come here again and will be going to the Serenity Nails in Carrollton where they don't rob you. $85 bucks there for the same services. A really great manicure and pedicure all around. The facility is clean and parking is easy to come by. The staff was really friendly and didn't rush my services. I asked for specific things and I received exactly what I asked for. I asked that my nails be a certain thickness, that the shape by just right and not only did they listen by the delivered. Too often I say that I would like my nails to be very thin and natural looking but I end up with very thick, very long nails. The gentleman who did my dipping powder actually listened and I'm really happy about that. My dip set actually came with a manicure too, which at a lot of places they charge you twice(which shouldn't be the case). I'll come back here because they actually trim the cuticles, massage the hands and give you the whole treatment, not just a color change for the full price of a manicure. My pedicure was great. She really took the time to get all the bad skin off my heels and make my feet look great, not just going through the motions. read more

Perfection, and I'm a picky girl! I think I just got my absolute favorite manicure of all time. They did such a wonderful job on my mani pedi. This would absolutely be my go-to nail salon if I wasn't just in town for a short time for work!!! Very welcoming and although busy on a Saturday afternoon, got me right in. I needed a new full set but after showing them a picture of what I had in mind from Pinterest, they saw my natural nail growth was long enough to just remove the acrylics altogether and do a gel overlay. Wow, has this place changed. I used to love getting my nails done here. Would always go to John, Tyler, or Amy. Recently came here and got a dip manicure and pedicure. Asked for a specific OPI nail color I always get to match dip and technician (Emmy) picked out another. When I got the bill, it was way higher than I normally pay for these services. Manager told me that nail color was $9 MORE. What the heck? I can buy a whole bottle for $9 and his technician chose it. I explained what happened and no offer to correct this awful customer service. Plus, pedicure was pretty bad. Heels were still rough the next day. There was no one in there the day I went and I will also never go back. Really terrible. read more

I had the most amazing foot massage today, thank you! I typically prefer to do my own nails or visit nail spas that use basins instead of spa chairs. I'm used to my favorite nail salon in San Francisco that used basins and also carried Dior or Chanel nail polish in addition to Opi or Essie. I haven't yet found something like this in Dallas. When I could no longer reach my toes due to a very pregnant belly, a friend recommended Serenity Nails & Spa and I've now been 3 times. Twice I made appointments and today I walked in. I have always been seated right away. The environment is very relaxing. Guests are quieting chatting with their friends or relaxing and reading a magazine. In the past I had a Shellac manicure and both spa and regular pedicures. I prefer the regular pedicure. Today's pedicure was fine and the massage was simply sublime. read more

I only give a 2 star because I didn't have to wait. I normally go to the mermaid SEAlon, Cesar's nails in Irving, or Rose Couture. I am all about trying new salons but will not be doing so anymore. I was the only client it seems that was not offered any beverage (all other clients had one) I asked for coffin shape nails and they look pretty almond shaped to me. I requested diamonds and a day later 2 are missing. (Come on now I only payed $70 for my set and have paid $50 for way better quality) I tried this salon because it was right next door to adventure play Care (I'm new to this area) They are awesome, however this nail salon is not. I have been coming here for a year now and it's always wonderful. They have the option to add on a shoulder massage in addition to the one you get with the service and It's amazing. Even without an appt i never have to wait and if I do it's usually in a massage chair with my feet soaking. The dip manicures are the best and I always upgrade my pedi to parifin wax and hot stone massage. It's like a mini trip to the spa for a busy mom without breaking the bank. read more

I went today to have next gen (powder dipping) manicure. First they don't do any manicure, i had to ask for a little cream or oil at the end because my hands were so dry! They filed my nails horribly. Uneven and the powder is uneven too! My hands were red for a little bit and I have residual of the powder around the nails. Beware! Vince did my nails! read more

This place saved me. The week of my wedding was so chaotic we just didn't have time to make a nail appointment or be sure I could make it. The day of I called around like crazy, running out of time, then I thought of this place. It had been highly recommended by a beloved family member who is no longer with us. I ran up there with my fingers crossed and not only did they seat me right away but they did my manicure and pedicure at the same time, quickly but not rushed or sloppy. They were sweet, patient with my hysterical giggling from very ticklish feet, and they did a wonderful job. This is probably the worst nails spa experience I have had. It was my first time here and I had made an appointment prior to coming. They sat me right away and a woman started working on my nails. She had just finished cutting the nails on my right toe when the receptionist came and apologized saying they had to switch the her with somebody else as her 'regular client' was coming in. I am all for sticking to your regular client but switching people in the middle of a service is extremely rude in my opinion. What's more, the new person (a guy) didn't know any English! So I had a hard time making him understand what I wanted. I have been to many Vietnamese places but have never had this much trouble communicating. Also, it's no fun when the person you are trying to communicate with makes weird faces at you. It's so obvious!Midway he got up and brought an already used towel to use on my toes. That grossed me out! Needless to say, I am not returning. They need to get their act together. Pedicure is not just about painting the nails, it's all supposed to be relaxing. Money down the drain. Went in for an appointment at 1 and got there at 12:55. I was seated at 1:05 but then I sat in the chair and waited until 1:35 when I had to tell them I had to leave by 2 for an appointment. With the threat of leaving they finally helped me at 1:40. I got a mani pedi and the mani was decent but the pedicure was horrible. The color isn't even opaque and my nails are the shape of a literal parallelogram. I still tipped 20 percent because the lady doing my mani was practically crying I think because her manager put the fear of god in her for not helping me until 1:40, but it wasn't her fault as they over booked her. For a mani for my sister and a mani pedi for me it was 100 bucks. Worst 100 bucks I've ever spent. I've had bad experiences here and kept going back for the convenience but I'm done. It kind of sucks cause they have decent technicians but the gossiping in Vietnamese and only like 3 people having a basic kindergarten level of English along with not shitty customer service but literally no customer service yeah I'm out. And didn't even push me to get shellac (I don't like shellac-I end up not removing it like I should and it rips up my nails) and didn't tell me I need an eyebrow wax (I know I need to pluck them get off my case! I will never return to this salon, the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever had! The woman that did my manicure who claimed had been there for several years painted my nails so sloppy I immediately removed the polish when I got home. The polish did not even cover my entire nail, so disappointing to pay for horrible work. The woman that did my pedicure couldn't see very well and she was trying to clip my nails and was totally missing the nail. The toe polish was a bit better than my nails but the top coat was all over my skin...maybe because she was blind! I could not wait to get out of this salon, what a rip off! I have been to Serenity Nails twice. The first time, my first pedicure ever, I really liked it and thought they did a good job. My daughter and I walked-in and didn't have to wait. The second time I went, again with my daughter, we walked in and again were taken right away. I had a different woman this time. Completely different experience. She gouged my nail bed on two different toes while doing my cuticles and didn't say anything! She applied some kind of solution to the area which really stung and as I winced in pain, the lady who was doing my daughter's feet asked if my water was too hot. I said "no", that the stuff she had just put on stung because my toes had cuts now. She said something in a foreign language to the lady doing my feet and the lady looked up and said "sorry" in a way that clearly indicated she wasn't sorry at all. She then gave me a massage that was more painful than relaxing. Maybe she was having a bad day, I don't know. My pedicure looked good when she was done, except for the two bleeding spots! I think this place is clean and good, but be careful which nail tech you get. I should have said something to the management, but just figured that there are lots of other nail salons to go to. Not sure if I will ever go back there. If I do, I'll be sure I don't get that same woman. read more
