Update - Service Champions My husband and I were always staunch supporters and Reward Clients of Service Champions. However, our last two experiences with this service provider didn't fair very well. But everyone is entitled to another chance, and as stated we did have an excellent relationship for a number of years. I was ready and somewhat reserved scheduling again, but called in and booked an appointment for a heating/air conditioning tuneup. Enter 19 year old Landon MacGill, Service Technician for Service Champions, a motivated young man with a terrific smile. Totally disarmed, I welcomed his explanation of what Service Champions would be accomplishing for me that day. While obtaining a system tuneup was appreciated, this review is for Landon and an applause for Service Champions in their decision to hire such a young employee...seeing the determination and possibilities this young man could bring to their service oriented business. Keep Landon on Service Champions, nurture his goal to be of benefit and service to others. Landon does your company proud and has won back the return of a customer who, without meeting this young man, would most probably not have been as welcoming with the arrival of another technician. I have used Service Champions for nearly a decade. When I lived with my parents, my first condo, now my first home... Now I am done.. Their quality has dropped greatly over the years. There have been a few decent techs but for the most part I have to say I am done using them and hearing them push things which don't need to be done and at their 300-500% mark-up. It was an eye opening experience when the tech recommended a water heater replacement over my request for a maintenance quote. Then gave me a quote of almost $3000 for swapping it out. I called later that day to cancel their maintenance plan - which they push out on everyone (Don't get it! ). The techs are friendly but some are just plain lazy. I initially called for a toilet line unclogging mind you. This didn't get done either. I called another plumbing company, who sent me someone who was able to unclog the line in 5mins of being upstairs. Showed me the tool and how I could avoid the issue in the future. No pushing, just reasonable cost service with no sales agenda. read more

I would not recommend Service champions as they are way over priced. I initially, called for ac maintenance and they sold me the monthly contract to service any repairs for ac/heating and plumbing. They told me it would cover any water heater maintenance for free and that is not the case. I have a tankless water heater. Just called for my water heater to be descaled. The 2 guys that came out did not do the work that was requested, instead said I needed a new regulator and a pipe was leaking, which was $2016.00 & later after they left I realized they did not do the service I requested which is mandatory every year. I called an independent plumber which did the descaling, fixed the pipe leak and the regulator was changed out for less than $600.00. I will be cancelling the monthly service. read more

Had the work done and now I can't get them to get a final inspection or even answer a few questions I have. Routine maintenance, upon checking and inspection of the a/c system, technician discovered trace of dye application into the condenser. This leads to extensive check and thorough testing. Found the coil is bad and verified with camera pictures shots with homeowner. All the current epa requirements and laws effective 1/2025 compliance in fixing old system no longer applies. We therefore made a decision to get new a/c system with upgraded seer. We made a conscious move with the attending technician. We are satisfied and installation will be completed 7/17/26. read more

Beware of Service Champions! I have waited months to write this review in fear that the salesman/contractor Frank Speer would retaliate at my home. Frank Speer was the representative of Service Champions that came to my home, so I am able to say the following about Service Champions: 1. attempts to charge customers DOUBLE of what other equally capable contractors charge 2. will lower the price to make you feel special, but the price will still be 60% over the price of what other companies charge 3. uses fear tactics such as saying things can get worse at the house if it's not done ASAP 4. threaten that the price will be higher if you don't accept the price given on the spot My specific job was for HVAC replacement. If you invite Service Champions into your home for an estimate, just take the estimate for reference and never let them back in. Even AI has a terrible summary for them. I had my old HVAC system replaced by Service Champions in early June 2026 - they did a wonderful job. Efficient, professional, respectful of property. It was completed in one day. The system works great! The installment team (Elian Rincon, Jonathan Trejo, & Louis Altamirano) led by Shane Preciado (who had to deal with my HOA) could not have been better! I live on the 3rd floor of a condo comlex, so a crane had to be used to remove the old rooftop unit and place the new unit up there. Everything went like clockwork. Keep up the great work! The state inspector and city inspector came as scheduled and approved the work with no revisions necessary. The city inspector was impressed with the quality of work done and asked me to pass his compliments along to Service Champions and their workmen. read more

UPDATE: In my original review, I was disappointed with communication during my project. I just wanted to be heard so that the company would be aware of this concern. I'm pleased that a manager reached out to me to get my feedback on my large project and my experience. I felt much better and felt heard after our conversation. This is a company I trust and that takes care of their workers. Companies work hard to build a reputation and it takes only one slip to tarnish that image. Projects should be done with you and not to you, and I felt like they heard that message. Will I continue to use this company exclusively? Yes. I've been using this company for years to do tune-ups and for some smaller projects. Recently I did a major plumbing project with them, and I'm less than satisfied with the communication and lack of customer care that I experienced from their salespeople and central office. The work done by the actual plumbers was great and the job was done efficiently. What stinks is the lack of hand-holding or even follow-through by sales or anyone with oversight of the project. Complete failure. It's a good thing I knew about the permit process and got it done but I had to prompt their central office for follow-up each time. I would like to thank Service Champion. Our Cool system stopped working (was showing Cool On but doing nothing else) and eventually same with heater and Fan. I called Service Champion (whom I used few times for regular maintenance) after connecting via Yelp. They gave me same day appointment on Tuesday evening. Mr Chris arrived on time, was v courteous. He took some time to triage the problem and said the Primary motor is not working and needs replacement. Also suggested adding Compressor saver kit to avoid Primary motor from failing in future. There were some register on control board which were also turned dark black but seemed working. After some discussion I took offer of replacement of Primary motor +1 yr maint package totaling $500 (was discounted if taking 1 yr service of $269 which pays itself with 2-3 maintenance visits) but not replacing Compresssor saver kit. After installing the Primary motor tried to start the system but it didn't start. After more assessment it was discovered that the Control Board also got bad and that could cost upwards of $600. As the assessment had missed out this piece, the company decided to do it free of cost. It got scheduled for Thursday per parts availability. Christ also mentioned that such thing happened in past with other customer. On Thursday Christ arrived on time with another tech Mr Ishmael and new Control board. They did reassessment and replace control board with never one. HVAC system was still not starting. After more assessment they found out that the signal from thermosta was reaching Heating unit but was not going to the HVAC system. It seemed the wires in attic which does the connection might be broken or sorted. Tech told me either we need to add new wire (abt 40-50 feet from attaic to outside HVAC system or remote control switch) , both could cost app $900+ (after discount). We were surprised and went into getting more details and further discussion. After some time Mr Ishmael (who was initially down with upset stomack but recovered) did more checks and found that the wire from Heating to Hvac system near the unit was not coupled property with each other (I think part of original system installation) which was causing loose connection or sort and that cause to break the Primary motor and also damage the Control board (both of which we replaced). Mr Ishmael then properly connected the spare wires that came together from Heating to HVAC and made sure no loose connections and sort occurred. After all done they check the details and Volla , the HVAC, Heating, Fan all started working perfectly fine. They confirmed all items in the Heating system in attic and HVAC were done properly. We later test HVAC, Heating, Fan and Gods grace working fine till now. This saved us quite a bit of money. Mr Ishamel also mentioned there is no need to add Compressor saver kit for now and even if we do it in future its just a banddaid for old system. We liked the service from Service Champion and would recommend them. I am thank full to Mr Chris and Mr Ishamel for there work, and spending almost 6-7 hrs in total (b/w them) over couple of days getting it all done. One reco, Service Champions should ask there tech to do bit more detailed assessment and should be more supportive with respect to cost. Ie running a small set of wires from Attic (Heating to HVAC Outside) ie 40-50 feet should OR a Remote control should not cost appx $900+ that too with discounts. Felt v high. Probably a small fee of 150-200 should have been sufficient I feel for another 45 mins - 1 hr max work if had needed. Other than that we are happy with service and would recommend them. I get all my HVAC and plumbing maintenance and repairs done by them, and they are consistent with their level and quality of service and workmanship. I haven't left a review for anyone in particular, but after my last HVAC check-up, I want to especially recognize Miguel Valdez. He was not only friendly (as all their team members are), but Miguel was extremely detailed and thorough with the two systems we have, one of which is very old and literally hanging on for dear life. After Miguel's visit, I am confident I can squeeze out a little more life in my older unit. I also don't normally ask for a favor (their "act of kindness"), but this time, I had two lights go out in my vaulted ceilings and Miguel immediately went out of his way to change out the two lights. This was after a long service call to begin with! If this company wants to keep its clients, I highly recommend they have a real human call and not a robot. I hang up on them every time. When I did that once, a human actually called back but I'm still waiting for a person to return the call. As for the service, they do a good job but they over charge for any work that needs to be done. I recommend getting quotes from other companies and then one will find that Service Champions over charges by at least $6,000.00. I was quoted $21,000 for duct replacement and they wanted to give me a discount and charge $18,000.00. I found someone else for much less. read more

I requested an HVAC service appointment for a home, and the company ran me around in circles, causing me a lot of stress, time, and possible loss of a client. They canceled my HVAC appointment over the phone twice on two different days. Then the third cancellation really upset me. I had the owner of the home call Service Champions to give approval for the appointment several days in advance, and they still canceled the appointment upon arriving at the house, on the day of the appointment. I did everything that the three scheduling staff asked of me. Horrible customer service. I will never understand why this company operates the way it does, but they need to change their operations and policies. They also showed up outside of the scheduled appointment window without notifying me (only to then cancel). Find another company if you're looking for someone to service/inspect your HVAC or plumbing systems. read more
