We used this company through USAA when we had a pup burst. I'll go through all the different people who helped. The people who came out to fix the plumbing and patch the wall get 5 stars . He was great, on time, perfect job. Now for the flooring and carpet people 5 starts. Painting and whoever did the floor boards3 stars because he forgot to put base boards in the bathroom and when we said something we were told " wow you are very observant" No the base boards are missing anyone would notice. Also the paint up the stairs was 1-2 inches off the carpet so very noticeable. I'll add pictures of everything later when I get to my computer. Lastly the moving part of their company started with the person in charge drop and break a case that was wrapped due to being fragile and he said well I didn't know what it was because it was wrapped. So needless to say a lot of things were damaged. And once we got everything back home it was very disappointing so much was damaged that we had to tell them about and someone came out and he looked concerned and said this is weird because they have never had this issue. I highly doubt it. I mean things were all thrown in boxes randomly . Our larger and smaller furniture and even out packing bins we purchased were smashed like they threw the boxes on top of each other. Someone wrote liars and rude words on our letter board in the master bedroom and also packed rocks individually so unpacking took weeks. One of the people working even lost her jacket in our home which they through in the back of one of our closets. We went from being angry to just being said at how much this company did not care and damaged all of our belongings. They offered us the $500 insurance to even the cost of damages which didn't even cover but we just didn't want them in our house or contact with them anymore. Be very careful. I cannot state this enough the packing part of this company would get 0 stars if I could. I'll add pictures of what I still have. And even things we found that were hidden. Like our kitchen table that was warped like they had it in a damp area or broke a top board now sure how it even happened and the bench had wood l ripped off underneath from tape it looks like. read more

AWFUL!!! This company was contracted through my insurance to pack our belongings from the kitchen and then do the demo following damage from a broken water line. Let's start with the demo. I suppose they did a good job with removing cabinets and walls in the house that needed to be gone, but these guys made a huge mistake that could have been deadly!!! They removed the gas stove and turned off the valve inside, however, did not cap the valve. When there were no longer workers at the house with doors and windows open, I found myself with a massive headache feeling groggy and just wanting to sleep after I closed the doors and windows because it was cold! When I went into the kitchen to let the dogs out my side door there was a VERY strong odor of gas. My husband was out of state and I could not turn off the gas from outside. I was so groggy and confused it never crossed my mind to call the gas company. Instead I wrapped the valve with a moist cloth, baggie, and a ton of duct tape. The water heater and wall heater both are gas and were on. Thank God the gas did not ignite from the flames of these appliances. It could have been a disaster for my husband to come home to. I slept with the door and windows open to let the gas out of the house. We started unpacking our belongings once the remodel was finished. What a f****** mess! Two of my wine glasses from a set that belonged to my deceased father were broken because they laid the stemware flat (so professional ... sarcasm), the glass stopper to my mother's decanter set that she gave me was broken, a glass dinner plate, bowl, and salad plate were shattered, and a cup and saucer are suspiciously missing from my Christmas dish set. One box was a complete mess. Seems these fools packed my liquid dish soap, an orange concentrated cleaning solution, and liquid hand soap all upside down in the box!!! Omg!!! Everything in the box was covered with this concoction which ruined my expensive pair of kitchen shears, a brand new knife from a specialty kitchen store, and my can opener. Not only were these liquids packed wrong, they destroyed some expensive items!!! I left three messages with this company and not one person called me back!!!! I will NEVER let my insurance company use this "service" if I ever need a clean up job again. Service Master is the worst!!! Don't let your insurance provider dictate what restoration company you use. You DO have a choice! Just don't let that choice be Service Master. You'll regret it! read more

Be aware of this company. We went through our insurance to make extensive repairs to our rental property. Insurance allocated $1,800 to replace damaged baseboards. When inspecting the property we realized Service Master kept the old moldy baseboards. We had to end up taking the baseboards to the dump at are own expense to be sure they would not be re-used. They also put a lock box in front of the house and gave the code to random subcontractors without our permission or knowledge. A very expensive custom item came up missing and the company did nothing to rectify the situation. They acted like victims and made us feel like we were in the wrong for bringing up the missing property. We had to switch contractors in the middle of the project because we do not trust them! read more
