I've heard this company advertised over and over again on our local radio station so assumed they were good and well known. OMG!!! Took them 6 months of missing days and excuses for no shows before I hired another guy to come and take a look. This carpenter was floored by the mistakes and mess they made. I confronted the Paul Davis team and they gave me the rest of the material to have someone else do it. Shocking! Still haven't received one piece. My advice to anyone thinking that the larger companies are better.... nope. There is no reliability or consequences for the bigger guys. Especially terrible for those who need restoration done. Hard enough to deal with fire, flood, etc but then you have to deal with an incompetent team.

MIC even handled ordering all the paint and materials, and all I had to do was explain the look I wanted. Additionally I had bodywork completed on my matte-finish vehicle, which can be difficult to match properly, and the results were outstanding. The workmanship and finish quality were excellent. I dropped the car off and picked it up when it was ready, again I was kept up to date every step of the way. Highly recommend and will definitely be using them again when I'm ready for interior painting.

I made an appointment a month ago to have two rooms carpet cleaned. Took me hours to empty one room…read moreand dismantle furniture, and my elderly parents live upstairs and took them 2 days to clean out their room. On the morning they were supposed to arrive, I called to make sure someone was coming and they informed me that nobody could make it today. Absolutely NO reliability. I had to call THEM to find out they weren't coming. I understand that things happen but it shouldn't be the customer's responsibility to call. No apology either. The woman on the phone was very matter of fact and told me I could rebook or go elsewhere. These bigger companies are getting less and less reliable and less professional. The smaller companies may charge more, but the reliability and performance is surpassing the others.

I had the worst experience with Paul Davis Halifax. They'll claim that they know the building code…read moreand insist that they followed the right code, but it's not. They installed R40 insulation in my attic, but the building code for Nova Scotia is R50. When you try to call them to have them install the right R value, they'll add insulation but blocked all soffit vents, leading to poor circulation in my attic and another mould infestation. I had another mould remediation company redo my whole attic and paid double the price. They're not able to take responsibility for their mistake when I called them, and instead make false statements on their defense for the small claims court to throw off the case. I won't recommend Paul Davis Halifax to everyone, and stay away from them if you don't want the same nightmares that I had from them.

How this branch in Dartmouth, NS is still in business I will never understand. Thye could care less about the people who put food on their tables. The customers! Avoid at all costs.
