The medical staff are mostly students, but they don't perform the actual procedures, that is done by a doctor. In my case, it was Dr. Sy, and I am very fortunate to have found him. I came here with a discolored toenail that my primary care physician didn't like the look of (and neither did I). I looked for someone in my network (naturally) and preferably near to my house. This is the office that came up in my search and I made an appointment. Right from the start, the doctor was extremely personable and caring. He examined the toe and told me what was going on and what to expect. And he was exactly right. Everything he has said would happen has happened over the course of the last couple of months. The students have all been really great. They're anxious to learn, they listen when you talk to them, and they are there to help as well as to gain experience in their chosen field. I don't mind going to a teaching facility at all as I realize how important it is for students to have hands-on experience. But the work is always done by the licensed physician. As it should be. I have had three appointments so far and will be back in two weeks for a follow-up after today's procedure. I will undoubtedly experience the same caring and professionalism that I have received so far. All-in-all, I'm very happy with the institute and with Dr. Sy. I'm happy to give them five stars.
