Still, the server was quite proud of his trick of adding some brandy to top off the pasta. That probably helped but couldn't rescue the pasta. The pizza was better, as it came fresh off the oven. At least, we lucked out as the neighboring table was presented with two blackened lumps of dough that obviously had to be sent back. Wonderful food and spectacular views…read more We first chose this restaurant the evening we arrived in Lugano because it was within the Hotel Villa Sassa where we were staying. Then we discovered that it was a favorite of a friend who is a Lugano resident, and she joined us for dinner. The food was wonderful and the views were spectacular. We ended up eating here two of the three nights we were in Lugano. As others observed, the menu isn't extensive, but that is often a good sign that what is served is fresh and well prepared. A pea soup was spectacular, and the seafood was wonderful. Service was very attentive and professional. Our friend rates this one of the best restaurants in Lugano.
