This is an older, very small campground with an incredible amount of charm. Management is extremely pleasant, accommodating, and welcoming. If you're arriving after dark, be cautious--the entrance sign is not lit. I was driving a 40-foot motorhome towing a 30-foot trailer and mistakenly took the first turn instead of the second. The signage isn't illuminated, so headlights are helpful to confirm you're in the right place. I highly recommend arriving before dark. The campground is very quiet and feels like stepping back into "old Florida." It sits right on the river, where we saw otters playing and fish jumping--literally jumping two feet out of the water. Very cool. We stayed in Site 20, a pull-in site with excellent river views and located right next to the boat ramp. There's a small store on-site that sells firewood, fire rings at the sites, and it's perfect for a relaxing evening. The permanent residents were extremely friendly and helpful. Kayaks are available to rent for river trips (we didn't do that this time). They don't sell bait, but there's a great bait and tackle shop less than a quarter mile across the street with wonderful people--perfect for fishing off the dock. No problems at all, the dogs loved it, and my wife really enjoyed how relaxing it was. We'd happily stay again. read more

We were looking for a little get away in our new to us 5th wheel. We live near Crystal River and just wanted a night or two camping with a campfire. Surprisingly to me, many camp grounds do not have real fire pits, but after reading reviews of Seven Sisters campground we decided to go there. Bottom line: the staff was extremely nice, & they did indeed have large firepits and ample wood for sale, no problem there. However this campground is kind of ghetto. Our campsite is referred to as "waterfront", I'm posting the pic that i took of the waterfront... Where do I stop?.. First of all, the place looks nothing like it does online or on the brochures that they give you when you get there. Lots 1-3 Are looking at a parking lot.With a small view of the river. 6-14 You're looking at a fence.14-9 Are the best views. The best site of all is 20. Paid for a premium spot. Which would have been lots 15-20. We got spot D With the view of a trailer park across a very thin hammock of water. That was not crystal, clear, it was black and murky. And still. On the brochure, it shows a picture of people swinging from a rope to the water. That's rule number 6 of not to do. Not only did my site have a awful view of nasty murky water. The electric didn't work. We could not even stay there the night because we could not plug in. And I didn't want to use all the gas in my generator when i'm paying for electric. Don't expect the refund. They are only grant you a new night. If they find that they electric is not working. We all know what they're gonna find. Is better the stay somewhere else and rent your kayak At the many kayak rentals around the area. I saw in the review that someone said it was a cheap place if you wanna go kayaking. And camping bullshit, it's just as expensive as the others, but they sell you on beautiful blue water and waterfront parking . read more

Don't have any pictures, but the experience was great. We went kayaking the other day and the whole process from reserving the kayaks to the actual experience was smooth. It was easy to check in and they were very knowledgeable about where to go to find great spots along the springs. It's not expensive either which is great because there aren't many cheap things to do for the whole day around the Tampa area. Will most definitely be back. read more

We rented kayaks for the day here on December 24 2025. I kayak all the time, and this place was just absolutely beautiful. Closest I have ever been to Manatees. Best experience I've had on the water. We had a multi-generational and varied experience level group of 15 from 7-64 rent kayaks here and had a great experience. I called a few days before and was encouraged to register online so the paperwork could be easier. Even though our group arrived by the car load and launched in a string that took probably 30 minutes, the staff was great (Timothy, Steve, and I'm sorry I didn't get the last man's name!) everyone was given life vests that fit, paddles in working order, directions and a water resistant map and we eventually all found our way to the Seven Sisters Spring! As for the kayaking on the Chaz - it took a little longer to navigate through the canals than expected and maybe from the end of the canals to the spring head was the 100yds they mention. Be sure to note landmarks so you can find your way back, though if you mess up, they are all dead end canals and you will have to turn back. People along the canals and on. The River were friendly and seemed used to giving directions if asked. The Chaz and tributaries were pretty shallow which made our less enthusiastic members feel better. At Seven Sisters we really just explored the area at the back. Four in our group decided to swim through, though several of the younger ones dove down and waved at someone through the tunnel. One person from our group and another swimmer at the spring that swam through clocked their heads pretty well and drew a little blood, so be careful. My mask strap broke, but I was able to get enough suction to have it stay on and swim with both hands when I went through. After that we went on to The Crack. The Chaz is wider than I thought, but we went on a weekday and the River wasn't busy with motor traffic. It was late morning so there wasn't as much animal activity as we hoped. We did spy an otter eating a snack, otherwise we only saw fish and a couple of birds. The tide was coming in, so on our way we paddled a little harder, hoping we would come out and be able to go back with the tide! We made our way to The Crack, it was like entering another world in that tributary...one vessel narrow in places, beautiful jungle-like environment. The last 50 feet or so we all parked our kayaks and walked through ankle deep water with a sandy bottom to get to The Crack. It's a swimming hole anyway, so be prepared to get out and walk around or swim. One person was using the rope swing, but be very cautious about doing it, the swimming hole is mostly sandy bottomed with some very large rocks and the crack itself is a rock crevice. The water was murky from the saltwater mixing in and the sand stirred up by swimmers - you can't see the crack, but you feel for it with your feet. You can straddle the crack and even out of shape people like me can park ours from side to side where it's wider! Lol The way back was pretty fast, the tide was still going in or maybe the wind was behind us. no problems finding our way back after making note of the turns. We didn't lose anyone and everyone said they would go out again! Thanks so much for a fun day! read more

An excellent small park. Perfect for kayak rentals, Gravel sites. Shower and restroom facilities. Simple park. A taste of old Florida with charm. This review comes from a guest that also owns a park in the panhandle of Florida. If another owner of a different park recommends this place then I know you are going to like it. We vacationed here and loved it. If you are looking for a simple, boutique, reasonably priced park This is it. Amenities are minimal but that is what made it awesome actually. Cute campground, horrible rude staff. Upon our arrival to our cabin #6 we discovered the A/C was not working. The floors hadn't been swept. (See pic of the dirt I swept up just in the bedroom) The table didn't get wiped down from previous guest as there were grease spots from food I assume. The lady and gentleman that came to "look at it" never said hello, just looked at the A/C then the guy left. After a bunch of back and forth as they wanted to put us in a small downgrade of a cabin they put us in cabin 5 next door only after we asked if we could move to it since it was the same type as we rented and it was vacant. Why the staff didn't suggest that I'm not sure. So we get into cabin 5 only to realize that it's infested with huge ants!!! See the pics. We call it a night and go to sleep. The next morning my fiancé and I are out front of the cabin and the guy walked by and we said hello, he ignored us. Then my fiancé went over and asked him if he felt some sort of way about us needing to be moved and he went off on us how we shouldn't have a dog with us (website claims they are pet friendly) and that the cabin was ice cold. Well if it's ice cold why are you there putting a new window unit in if it's working just fine???? Right? Just plain out rude and disrespectful. After that encounter we decided to leave. I went to office to get a refund for tonight. The lady did apologize for being "abrasive" as she called it the night prior. I let her know that the Cabin 5 was infested with ants and she flat out said "oh I know " the cabin was occupied when we had the pest guy out. Ummm excuse me? So when we asked to move there y'all could have said no it's infested with ants. But no mention of being infested with ants !!Horrible thing to do to somebody! I understand that A/C's break and shit happens. But we are in Florida in August, A/C is a must. The lady did refund my money without a hassle which I'm grateful for. Save your money and go to the campground up the road you will have a much better experience! read more

We had reserved a waterfront site for 4 days, and when we arrive they tried to put us in a tiny site that backed right up to another campers site with a camper intent on it, the site was not on the water The water was behind the camper and tent that they tried to park us in front of. They did not want to give us a refund even though they were misrepresenting the site and they swore that it was on the water and refused to go look at it with me. We finally told them we would pay for the one night and they did give us a refund on the rest but we are totally unhappy with this and that they had the nerve to argue that it was a waterfront site. Stay away, very rude people. And the restroom on site was dirty with papers strewn all around. Not very good housekeeping. read more

I was there on 11/26 /2022 to Deliver a 30ft camper from New York .got there and the so called host came outside to start yelling at me because I called him at 600am we he was sleeping. He came out and and asked me who the fuck did l think l was calling him at 600 fucking am on a Sunday when it was Saturday. Then proceeded to threaten me and told me to leave the fucking property. I would not recommend this place very hostile environment do not go there.this guy was very rude and unprofessional. read more
