    Launch Spot

If you are looking for an affordable and easy renting experience to get to Seven Sisters Spring, the kayak rental at Seven Sisters Campground is the way to go. Rentals are for the whole day and not by the hour. There is a restroom at the launch spot. It's about a 15 minute paddle from launch to Seven Sisters.

    Waterfront site with fire pit.

We were looking for a little get away in our new to us 5th wheel. We live near Crystal River and just wanted a night or two camping with a campfire. Surprisingly to me, many camp grounds do not have real fire pits, but after reading reviews of Seven Sisters campground we decided to go there. Bottom line: the staff was extremely nice, & they did indeed have large firepits and ample wood for sale, no problem there. However this campground is kind of ghetto. Our campsite is referred to as "waterfront", I'm posting the pic that i took of the waterfront... I must say the restroom was decent and again the people were nice, but if you are looking for a "lovely waterfront" site, this is likely what you'll get...

Where do I stop?.. First of all, the place looks nothing like it does online or on the brochures that they give you when you get there. Lots 1-3 Are looking at a parking lot. With a small view of the river. 6-14 You're looking at a fence.14-9 Are the best views. The best site of all is 20. Paid for a premium spot. Which would have been lots 15-20. We got spot D With the view of a trailer park across a very thin hammock of water. That was not crystal, clear, it was black and murky. And still. On the brochure, it shows a picture of people swinging from a rope to the water. That's rule number 6 of not to do. Not only did my site have a awful view of nasty murky water. The electric didn't work. We could not even stay there the night because we could not plug in. And I didn't want to use all the gas in my generator when i'm paying for electric. Don't expect the refund. They are only grant you a new night. If they find that they electric is not working. We all know what they're gonna find. Is better the stay somewhere else and rent your kayak At the many kayak rentals around the area. I saw in the review that someone said it was a cheap place if you wanna go kayaking. And camping bullshit, it's just as expensive as the others, but they sell you on beautiful blue water and waterfront parking .

Awesome experience! Very easy and smooth process getting into the water. The front desk was extremely helpful and the views were amazing. Totally recommend!

My friends and I have been using River Adventure Tours over 5 years now for our annual scalloping…read moreadventure! A day out on the water with this outfitter has always been super fun regardless of the number of scallops caught. My group has gone out with a few different captains, all of which have been knowledgeable & safe. The booking process is pretty easy. I always book online - you can even sign the waiver through their website so there is no paperwork to take care of when you arrive at the dock. The boats are comfortable for the short ride out to the scalloping site and we always bring along a well stocked cooler of drinks and snacks to enjoy during our trip. All the snorkel equipment needed to dive for scallops is included in the tour. In general, the equipment is nice and well maintained. The conditions have been a little different every year I have gone - sometimes we catch a lot, sometimes a little. The captain has always dived with us to help search for scallops and moves to new locations as necessary. Cleaning the scallops after returning to the docks has always been easy - sometimes there is a group of high school students who will clean them for you for a fee. If they aren't around, there is a station to clean them yourself, and the captain has always been around to help / walk us through the best process. We will be back again!

It is about 3.5 stars for the experience. The river is nice where they located. It is located near…read morethe intersection of Halls River and Homosassa River. Basically has a lot of options to explore the area. You can take an 4 hour tour or two hour tour on kayak. If you really explore in one day use the motor boat is better. The rivers are wide and not much of cover. Sunny day will have big sun on you body, sun cream protection is recommended. The kayak trail have 4 different rout. We choose the homosassa spring head route. They need to improve on facilities. Such as changes clothes area when wet, better rest room facilities instead of potable station, better educate the people who rent the kayak and give details tours recommendations and direction. One thing for sure is they are nice to meet with us. We went to the spring head trail. And we did not know we need to get under the small bridge then further down. Nice to have proximity map. But better instruction to get there is equally importance. We also miss the tunnel river. We found out this point of interest when we get back docking.
