I booked a room with this hotel, but accidentally booked it for the wrong month... I had July in from a previous search and booked it for then, instead of August when I will be in France. It was a non-refundable room, however I called immediately because I thought they may be understanding... I needed the first Thursday of August and not the first Thursday of July. They were not understanding. Had I booked the room for August when I needed it, it would have been a cheaper rate (about $40 cheaper!), so I understood if I didn't get the difference in rate as a refund. But it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't honour the booking for the other date. It was still a few weeks out from the first stay booked for July, so they could have likely booked that room for another guest... instead the room sat empty. They were going to get the money either way, so why not allow the change when it was clearly an honest mistake!? Brutal. read more
