This was a total scam. I'm currently exploring options with the district attorney to retrieve my money which was sent by wire which means wire fraud. I discovered that there are more people like me that have also lost money so unfortunately Kurt is just evil and relentless in this scam. The pool was pretended to be configured but was never actually built. I have the location of the new business and I'm going to stop by this summer to check it out to see if there are any pools at his new location. read more

They never respond to any communication or pick up the phone call. Never send the in progress picture, though they promise. Do not do business with them. It is a hoax. read more

Buyer Beware: This company has changed names 3 times in 3 years do to numerous claims of fraud, poor workmanship, taking deposits and not delivering pools, and much more. Previous names include Kustom Container Builders and Swiss Coast Pools. Kurt Wittin (also uses Witton, Witten) has a long history of fraud claims. I bought a pool from Kurt Wittin 3 years ago and have had nothing but major issues. The first pool was deemed as "structurally unsound and unsafe" by a local engineer and it did not come with major components (such as a sand filter). After fighting with Kurt for a year, he finally replaced it with a different pool that had severe liner failure 3 days after we got it and the plumbing was completely messed up. That has cost us over $16,000 on top of what we paid to buy the original pool. Both pools were missing several items that anyone with basic knowledge of pools should have included. Our local pool company said, "whoever did this pool is incompetent" and then instructed me how to fix all of Kurt's mistakes. Over the last 2 years, I have connected with over 3 dozen of Kurt Wittins victims and all have similar stories, many are far worse than ours. There are numerous people who have paid massive deposits or the whole pool in full and not received a pool. Others received highly defective pools. It is completely evident to me that he knows very little about the products he is selling or the engineering behind them. My only purpose with this review is to warn the public not to send him any money because I am tired of his victims contacting me after it's too late and they have a second mortgage on their house or HELOC loan with nothing to show for it. Shipping container pools done right are amazing, but if you buy from this individual, you have a 99.99% chance of having massive regrets and/or losing thousands of dollars. read more

I concur with every review that is posted here, with the exception of the last one that gave this company 5 stars. I'd love to know how they received their pool because I have been going through the same nightmare as everyone else on this page trying to get mine. Months of lies, promises, excuses, etc. He has $28,500 of my money and hasn't shipped the pool I ordered and won't refund my money. I've been told numerous times that the pool is ready to ship, but he can't get a truck, so I offered to have it picked up at my expense. My only condition is that I need to have photographic proof that the pool is actually ready to go and an address for where to pick it up. He then sent me photos of my pool in it's "early stages", (different color than I ordered, different configuration so I'm not sure whose pool that was) but I'm still waiting 12 months later for photos of the completed pool. (There was a snowstorm, the tarp had to be removed, etc.) He is a fraud and keeps opening up under new business names and changing the spelling of his last name. The business names that I am aware of are 204 Container Homes and Pools, Kustom Container Pools, Swiss Coast Pools, and Seventeen Pools. I only wish I had done an internet search before I wired my money to him. Now I am fighting to get it back like dozens of others. Do not order a pool from Kurt Witten or Wittin or Witan, or Witon!! read more

We put down a deposit for a pool we never received...can I also mention that we never got our deposit back? Do NOT do business with this company under any circumstances. There are dozens of families left high and dry across the continent. read more

From design of a new pool, build, completion and following year support for new pool owners, these guys really took the time to make sure the pool was up and working correctly and enabled us to learn how to keep it running efficiently. One special note was during the build. I hear so many people complain about the workers of other companies being messy, late, delayed, and things just plain going wrong. We did not experience any of this with Clearwater. They were clean (I'm talking work area here), efficient and knew what they were doing from the start. There was only one item that ended up being defective and they replaced it asap with no cost to us. I wish there was a zero or negative rating available for this person and company(s) - yes one has to say "companies" because every time this guy is close to multiple court cases or going to jail he changes the name of his company (and the spelling of his last name). When I started dealing with him over 1 1/2 years ago his company was known as "Kustom Container Pools" and since then "Swiss Coast Pools" and now "Seventeen Pools". I don't want to go into a long drawn out story so just the basics. 1) I provided an $18,000 deposit for a $36,000 pool 2) Was strung along for a year with delivery promises 3) His own staff turned against him and the truth came out about his fraud 4) There was never any work started for a container pool for me 5) I have not received $1 in compensation I know of at least a dozen people in Canada and the U.S. who are in similar situations, In order to avoid negative Google searches this guy continues to change the spelling of his last name, using "Witten", "Wittin" or "Witton". Kurt has taken over $30,000 from me. He continues to say he will either deliver our pool or refund my money, but it's a smokescreen. I have tried to pursue both options with him, but there is no pool or money to refund. He has no intention of doing either. His company phone number is now out of service, the address he has listed as his business address is an empty space that is now for lease (confirmed by realtor who is advertising it), and he has started up a new "business" 204 Container Homes and Pools. I do not know how this man can sleep at night or look at himself in the mirror. There are no words for the impact his greed and lack of conscience has had on my family. The owner of Seventeen Pools, or Kustom Container Pools has owed me $10,000 for over a year and half now. Essentially he took my deposit, (which was refundable, I have the paperwork) and kept it to complete other projects or live his life. Who knows? I have been trying to get it back but to not avail, as like all Ponzi type operators, they ignore you and move on. The police can't help you and there is no affordable means to recoup your money. Move on, find another more credible and reliable supplier. Do not do business with this company. read more

Be very, very careful when dealing with this company. The owner, Kurt, is a polished, practiced con man. He has defrauded everyone he's taken money or services from, including the company I work for. We are still trying to collect for freight services, and have even been threatened over other negative reviews I"ve written. Again, you would be better off looking elsewhere for your pool. IF you get one from him....a big IF as he tends to collect deposits and not produce...IF you get one, it will be defective. read more

Buyer beware builder changes names frequently and doesn't deliver. I have been told for over a year that my pool would ship only to find out it had hardly been started. Last time we spoke I was told I would get paid back when he could as it was a business failure and he could not fulfill his obligations.
