This last Friday night after seeing a concert, my 'guys night out' ended at Seventh Veil. It was an interesting end to an otherwise great night. Cover was $20, which was fine, but being frisked by a gun toting bouncer was a bit surprising. The entire establishment is kinda dank, not a classy joint in any respect. BUT, it's full nude - which can be a blessing and a curse, the girls range from A-Z. I kinda hung at the stage, which was not a bad place to take in the 'dancing.' The variations between girls is surprising, as it relates to looks and personalities, how can someone work in the skin trade and have no ability to hold a conversation? Don't answer that. One of my buddies enjoyed a $30 lap dance, which he said was just OK. The table dance area is exposed, so no tomfoolery, but my friend said his dance partner was friendly, in a conservative friendly manner. In the end, we stayed for about an hour, I probably spent around $50 total, which included a drink, and a good position by the dancing stage, including a steady flow of $1 bills out of my pocket onto the dance floor. I realized I wasn't going to get anywhere with him and said "do I just need to go to the internet to complain?" I'll preface this by saying it was a Sunday night, so there weren't a lot of people there. The girls were okay, though not as hot as I would have thought in Los Angeles, and the guys were just sitting around the edges of the room, waiting for something to happen. The biggest disappointment was this: in this "all nude" club, only two or three dancers over a two hour period actually went all nude, and at that, only for one song. The DJ kept saying, "Hey, guys, throw some dollar bills out there!" Now, I can't speak for all men, but my experience is that if you sit at the edge of the stage and start tipping before panties come off, they tend to stay on. I'm waiting for them to come off, and THEN start tipping. I was prepared to tip quite a bit, but, sadly, really had nothing to tip for. I didn't come for panties and bikinis! There was one dancer who, on one hand, I respect for at least having some initiative, but on the other, I don't like it when I feel like someone's trying to guilt me into a tip for sitting with me for 5 or 10 minutes, or for overpromising and underdelivering in the VIP department, all the while trying to up sell me. For good or for bad, this place is practically hell on earth. 1) The music was dark metal/goth which is normally tolerated except when I'm watching women slither around naked. WORST GENTLEMEN'S CLUB EVER... AND I SHOULD KNOW, I'VE BEEN TO DOZENS! If I could give this place zero stars I would. I arrived at around 10:00pm on a Wednesday night with a buddy of mine. I should've known something was up when the security outside the front door was dressed exactly like a cop... cop uniform, cop belt, cop badge and even a real gun... although his shirt had "security" patches on each sleeve. The first thing we noticed upon entering was the "No Refunds" sign FRAMED at the entrance. Oh, and there were NO DANCERS OR CUSTOMERS when we arrived... the place was empty except for the staff! $20.00 cover at an empty club! After waiting about five minutes, one girl (who looked like she was high on something) comes out and offers to give me a "free tour" of the club. When she asks me to sit down in one of the booths I decline, figuring it was a scam (i.e. the tour was free but the dances weren't). I politely declined and, after ignoring some stupid joke she told me to try to keep my attention, went back and joined my friend. The waitress told us there was a one-drink minimum... sodas at $6.00 a piece. I haven't been to many Los Angeles gentlemen's clubs, but if you're looking for an actual enjoyable experience check out 4Play or Cheetahs Club Hollywood. The Seventh Veil, I rember it back when it was a run down dive and the women were not the friendliest you wanted to ever meet. Some were good to see, some well they were sexy only in their own minds. For some reason I got a burr up my butt and had an urge to go in and relive a part of my past. I have to say, it was completely a different place. It has had a major face lift, Well decorated, and the women there are very friendly and all of them gorgeous. They would love to talk with you and make your stay a bit more pleasant but......Management has each and every one of them constantly coming up to you to ask for a lap dance. Now we talk pricey. Starting at $40.00 just for the girl to dance 2 songs and the prices go up from there, I saw that you can have a whole hour of one girl to yourself for just a mear 500.00. Ouch! Cover at the door is 20.00 which also gets you 2 drinks (no booze) The girls who dance on stage have to dance 2 songs and the DJ plays a song for maybe just one minute. He doesn't even finish the song. When he announces the 2 for one deal thats when the girls make their rounds to ask you for a lap dance. I litterally had 7 different girls ask me for one within a 5 minute time period. Oh and if you sit at the stage you are "required" to tip the dancer. No options, no choice, tip or move away from the stage. All in all it is very pricey so if you go in bring money, you will need it. And outside of the management, I completely enjoyed the company of the girls who just felt like talking. For them alone I give it 4 stars. For the way the club is run well they should give me 4 stars for putting up with them. Thanks to the girls there for making my time there more fun than the management would have liked. On a whim, a group of friends and I (a mix of 20-something guys and girls) decided to hit up a strip club in Hollywood. Seeing as how Seventh Veil has a bright store front that one cannot help but to notice, we settled on spending our evening here. I'm not a frequent attendee of strip joints, but I can tell you that there are much better places to attend. Door charge is $20, but one of the females in my group talked the doorman down to $10 for our group of 8. This included a non-alcoholic drink (seeing as ALL fully-nude clubs in California are alcohol free), and our choice of seating. The place is set up well, two stages and ample chairs next to the girls and along the walls. Bathrooms and VIP room are stationed on either end, and everything looks ritzy enough. But as you know, we aren't at this place for the decor. The girls are average looking, at best. Some are extremely cute, with variations in coloring, style, tattoos, etc. But for every hot girl, there are five average ones. And guess what? The hot girls spend every free moment with the regulars. You want attention from a girl? Better have a reputation. Otherwise, you'll be settling for a lethargic girl who is loathing every minute she speaks with you. Biggest complaint falls in two areas for me ... The lights are WAY too low. It is VERY difficult to catch a glimpse of the dancers, and many of them hide in the shadows anyhow. Granted, some of the more adventurous girls are willing to get in your face (including straddling your shoulders, grabbing your hand to cop a feel, and crawling on the rails to give you a close up), most girls choose to simply spin around with their tops and bottoms on until there is enough cash on the stage (seemed most girls lost their tops for $5, but wouldn't lose the bottoms until at $25 was lining the rails). I'm all for tipping the dancers, but it's annoying to see ten girls strut back and forth for five minutes without shedding an article of clothing. This is particularly annoying when I've been tipping, and the girl is simply waiting for other people to chip in. Second complaint comes in the attitude of some of the girls. I understand ... these girls are working and probably just want to pay rent. Folks, don't be a cheap ass at a strip club. You want, you give. This is how it works. But strippers ... don't call me a prick to my face because I am not choosing to get a lap dance from you. Don't give me scornful looks when I decide to tip a certain girl more than I tipped you. I'm here to be entertained, and just because you aren't my style does not mean you need to be an ass to me. If you are sweet to me, I'll be glad to buy my friend a lap dance from you. Or throw some extra dollars next time you work the pole. But you lost my business when you acted like you were better than me. All said and done, I spent $140 in the course of 90 minutes here. I bought a topless-only lap dance for a friend, and threw $5 bills on stage. This was not an insignificant amount of cash for me, and I walked away feeling let down. My friends agreed, there are much better clubs in the near area. Don't let the prime location and fancy store front trick you, Seventh Veil is mediocre at best. read more
