Prices are fair. The staff were friendly and helpful. They were super informed and interested in the projects I was working on. Definitely worth the 40 mile drive. Definitely will be back.

Their experience has since been shared with the rest of our guild, and it left a very negative impression. I personally shopped there in November and also experienced the owner being quite rude. At the time I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and assumed it might have just been a bad day. After hearing how other members of our guild were treated, it's clear that the poor customer service was not an isolated incident. Quilters want to support local quilt shops, but courtesy and respect toward customers should be expected. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience here, and many of our members will be taking their business elsewhere.

He was super friendly and very helpful in locating materials and providing recommendations for fabric/material measurements based upon my project. It is not the biggest store in the world. But I found waaay more fabrics I wanted to take home here than in any big box store I have been to. I thought the prices were good for the quality I was getting. I got some lovely woven cotton for nightshirts, some lace for my granddaughters dress, good Guttenberg thread, and a set of French needles and pins from a brand I had read about. The cliche of hugging the fabrics in the store because you love them so much is true here. I saw a 60's inspired bright silky print that made me want to sew a flowy caftan, move to Palm Springs, and throw a FABulous party. What more can I say?

I ended up purchasing a really lovely tropical viscose and an incredible deadstock Gucci bouclé that immediately spoke to me and it happened to be on sale, which made it even better. The owner was wonderful: warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to talk with. We chatted about the fabrics and brainstormed what I might sew with them, which made the experience feel extra special. This is a small shop chock full of stuff for crafters. The owner has been there for 35 years and I…read moredon't think a lot has changed. It's a small, family-run, local business, so it's much more deserving of our business than Amazon or Michaels. Prices are good, too. I will say this, though. The owner's son is there full-time, so we see him enough. He's always been professional and helpful, just a bit cold. But I just noticed today that he's so warm to virtually everyone else who walks in the door, and has conversations with them! When we walk in, he does not greet us and will not speak to us unless we directly ask him something. We're not loud or demanding, I just get the sense that he does not like us. I still highly recommend this local business. I'm just saying, if you feel a difference in treatment from your fellow shoppers from the son, just know that you are not alone.
