Keatons Hackney is a slightly different beast than its Bow sister. Nick, the agent I dealt with…read morehere when looking for a flat earlier this year, rather more laid back than his Bow counterpart. The selection of flats on Keatons Hackey's books is a little limited but then these are interesting times when it comes to property. Located just near Primark on Mare Street, Keatons almost resembles the famous Foxtons buildings but in a more autumnal palette. It's not hard to spot and definitely worth popping in for a chat with the agents if you're looking for a flat in the Victoria Park/London Fields area.
#keatons amazing job if you're selling or buying a flat / house in East London I strongly advise…read moreusing them... I can safely say that by a mile Keatons are the best Estate Agent I've ever engaged with. Professionalism, service, support, and just being really on their game through out the process of selling my flat / buying my new home. They do their industry a credit. Every one was brilliant and I'm hugely grateful for all the work that they have done. They genuinely go above and beyond in all aspects of your service. Due to a bad recommendation I originally tried to sell my property through Foxtons and they were a shambles. I don't mean to be rude about them as that's not my style but Keatons are in at totally different league. Over the last 11 months, since I got in touch with Keatons to sell my flat it's been a roller coaster of emotion, but I'm now delighted to have exchanged and looking forward to my move into a new home in a few weeks time. I've got to specifically mention Stuart Milburn who really was amazing. Through out the whole conveyancing process Stuart has been the one person who keep everything together. Dealing with my solicitors, the agents of the property I'm buying, and their seller, my buyer and her solicitors, the surveyors, in fact every one involved in the whole process, Stuart was the constant calm. Having fallen through once due to my original buyer pulling out, and then almost falling through again on the day before exchange it was Stuart's level headed totally professional mediating that convinced the seller of the house I'm buying to stick with me and keep the whole deal on track. Very impressive, thank you Stuart. To the bosses of Keatons, that guy is gold dust!

I did, however, occasionally get emails about lettings that somewhat matched what I was looking for. On my second visit I repeated to an agent exactly what I was looking for and was able to see two properties that same day. Not sure how amazingly discerning they are with their urban spaces, judging from the ones I was shown, but generally I like their intention. If you're on the hunt to let or purchase a loft-style space, it's worth stopping in.

They are NOT!!! From the moment the branch manager Tony came round he put me at ease and assured me they would work hard and do their best to get me a good price. They email all appointments and then the day after the viewings you receive another email with HONEST feedback. Tony sold my house within 2 days and achieved over asking price, I moved a couple of weeks ago and things were really smooth proving if you choose an estate agent that knows the market and the area (Tony has lived in the area all his life) things do not have to be difficult. I didn't want to use an estate agent when I was moving house, but after weeks of trawling through…read moreGumtree ads and discovering that most of them were posted by estate agents anyway, I knew it would be inevitable. I started responding to ads posted by estate agents and met with a fair number of agents from different companies in my flat hunt. Of the agents I dealt with, those at First Union were the most genuine and friendly to me. Others were disinterested, overbearing or just downright indifferent. Now, anyone who rents a flat through an estate agent knows that the process is fraught with trials for the renter. When it comes right down to it, the estate agent works for the landlord, not the tenant. Tenants come away from estate-agent liaised rental agreements feeling f*cked up the ass, and it's not nice. But, I'll be the first to say that First Union was a considerate lover and used lots of lube. Of the estate agents I came across, Shelly at this First Union office was super personable and always available to answer my questions via email and field my telephone calls. She kept me informed throughout the entire process and never made me feel put out. She was genuinely excited for me to find a new home, not just for herself for sealing a deal. The entire transaction and agreement went smoothly from start to finish. First Union is a small estate agent with only three locations in the SW18 and SW11 area, which means that you won't necessarily have the most flats to choose from but you will be met with smiles and a helpful demeanour by everyone in the office. And the flats available run the gamut from the cheap to the expensive, and you'll never feel as if First Union is trying to sell you up into a price bracket you cannot afford. First Union will take your money like any other estate agent will, but, I have to say, I didn't mind all that much.

Then they demanded rudely as my guarentor was retired they pay 6 months up front as they didn't trust they had money! Then they were extremly rude when i didn't renue my contract for the following year even though i had like another month until it was due. And then i found some friends who wanted my flat after i had left and told them all about it and they had basically decided to move in, the agent had the cheek to tell me to stop talking to my friends as they were dealing with their move and that they were doing me a favour as i would get to move out early and i said no i found them! they are my friends and i wanted to move out early thats why i told them about it they didn't even know who my estate agent was until I had told them so i was doing the agency a favour and they were so rude to me! Really unhappy with my experience with this estate agent more than 3 staff have been rude and I have been treated very badly, and I always paid my rent and kept the flat immaculate.
