It is an interactive museum where you can be a part of the illusions and take cool photos. Messes with your mind in a good way! One drawback is that the floor up usually has a perfect view of the Tower when it chimes on the hour and does tricks, but since the tower was closed that day (renovations) plus the 2nd floor exhibit was closed, we got a slight discount. Nevertheless, the first floor of exhibits was still fun!

Stella, our guide at the workshop, was super friendly and knowledgeable. The kids had a great time . It was both fun and informative. Each room had an AI based translation in speakers to many languages, including Hebrew. I think we were there for about two hours. It's a small but fun activity. It was a weird combination of the history of chocolate, the history of the Czech Republic, the history of chocolate in the Czech Republic, ... and random wax statues that I feel they just plopped into the rooms just to entice viewers to visit the wax museum too. The "free chocolate" samples that was described at the entrance was only located in the middle of the tour, which consists of 5 chocolate disk dispensers (like the chocolate you use for baking, not actual chocolates for snacking). They also have a praline making demonstration every 30 minutes, which lasts about 5 minutes, and you get to sample the end product. *THE WORKSHOP* The lady at the reception told me that there were two chocolate making workshop locations - one on the second floor and another one at the entrance of the shop, on the ground floor. I was redirected to the one at the bottom, and although it was nice because I didn't have to share the space with anyone else, it was EXTREMELY awkward because all the customers could watch as I was the only one making my chocolates, and were watching me like a caged animal haha It was a pretty straightforward workshop - the worker fills the piping bag with your choice of chocolate, and you simply just pipe the chocolate into the plastic molds, put your toppings on, and let it cool for about 10 minutes while you shop around. *THE SHOP* The shop is fairly large and has a wide variety of chocolates - they have chocolate tabs, chocolate covered nuts, melting chocolates, pralines, etc. You also get a 10% off coupon for the store items when you buy a ticket to the chocolate museum, and the melting chocolates were 50% off with the coupon.

This tower was built in 1891, a 63.5 meter version of the Eiffel Tower, located centrally in Petrin Gardens which is a large park area directly south of the Prague Castle plateau (the closest section of the park being only 5 minutes away by foot). The tower itself is about a 30 minute walk from the castle, with some gentle slopes, not too steep. It's helpful to download G-maps in advance as cell signal can get weak in certain areas. There are also a number of different trails so better to be prepared and save yourself some extra wandering, though with the number of periodic signs and other visitors you shouldn't get too lost. If you're approaching the hill from the east, there's funicular that takes you uphill from the lower section of the city though when I was there this was under repair, (that might've been why the tower wasn't so crowded too?) Timed tickets are available to purchase in advance and this is recommended during peak tourist season. Prices vary depending if you purchase in-person or ascend the tower by stairs or elevator. 220CZK purchased at the tower in person, 290CZK for online ticket. 150CZK for use of the elevator. In mid-autumn on a weekday evening around 5:30pm the crowd was pretty thinned out (maybe bc the funicular was down). I think there were 2-3 parties in line when I purchased my ticket at the counter inside the entrance. Thankfully the staff was friendly and spoke much better English than I had any clue about Czech, the transaction was smooth, and up the stairs I went! The climb up wasn't bad, a mini workout of 299 steps with a good-sized middle platform to rest if you like and admire the views from an outdoor observation deck. The top level is an enclosed area with 360 degree views. Winding around the center of the tower is a double helix staircase; one staircase goes up, the other down. They're strict in enforcement. Also the stairs are partially covered though partially open to the elements so in the case of inclement weather be wary. Once you're on the middle and top decks, the views are stupendous! On a partially sunny late evening you could see for miiiles. Bathrooms are not located in the tower so if you need the closest ones are paid about 25CZK (€1), only exact change accepted.

You stop first at a large platform less than halfway up -- to pretend you're admiring the views while catching your breath -- then proceed to the smaller top. There were four of us, which seemed appropriate for the size of the spaces. Our tour guide was new, but she did a fantastic job nonetheless with giving us cool facts and details about the space. There are lots of cool objects and items. Some authentic, some rebuilt, some just for show. You have to guess which is which before the sand in the hourglass empties or everyone dies. There's even a shop where you can purchase versions of the opium-laden potions of the past. Too bad they're not the same. PS, everyone in our group was wearing all black. It's that kind of place ;)

Recreated with love, this alchemy lab is a blast and the guide was as delightful as one could imagine. My companion, a Prague native, had never heard of the place but found it entertaining, while I nd my other companion found it charming. It's maybe not everyone's cup of tea. but if alchemy (the historical origins of chemistry) appeal, then this is a fantastic couple of hours worth of fun.

I got the mini pancake with the berry jam and a cappuccino. The jam on the pancake was tangy and sour and sweet, which elevated the dish. The server that served us was good, but we went around 8:30, and there were only 4 other customers sitting down. We didn't see a server at first or a hostess, so we tried to ask someone that's behind the entrance making coffee if we can just sit down. Let me tell you that she was so rude, as in she didn't even acknowledge our existence and totally stared and turned her head away. For an establishment in the middle of a tourist center open during breakfast hour, maybe have a cup or two of coffee so you don't become so rude. A few days in Prague, and by far, this was the rudest encounter. Everywhere else, they were super nice.

For the cost of nearly $30 USD, you get an audio recording tour of a beer "museum" complete with some lame graphics and a tasting that consisted of beer with mainly foam, which they said enhanced the flavor but seemed like a way of cheating out on a full pour. It's not the brewery either, so don't expect to see anything related to the actual brewing process. If you want to try Pilsner Urquell, you can do so a lot cheaper at any bar nearby, which is what this basically was. 2 stars instead of 1 because the bathrooms were pristine and the space itself is really nice with plenty of seating and free WiFi.

We loved the Beer Experience!…read more We booked this tour last minute for 11 am on a Saturday. It was raining so this was a perfect way to spend a couple of hours. We arrived early and walked around the gift shop a bit. They had an amazing amount of merchandise. Much of it very useful and some of it is also engravable and they have an engraver onsite. I bought a t-shirt. At 11 am, we started our tour. It starts on the second floor (level 1). There are stair and there are lifts. The experience is about a number of things: 1. Perusing their extensive merchandise in there gift shop 2. Learning about Pilsner Urquell, their history and the history of beer and beer making 3. Beer tasting 4. Hanging out on the third floor (level 2) for more beer, some food if you'd like (purchase) and games (foos ball) Back to item 2, they told their beer and beer making story, by using an audio track with your language on comfortable wireless headphones and by the use of visuals projected on the walls. As you walked through the halls, your headphones knew where you were and the audio guide was tailored to the presentation you were seeing on the walls. It was super well done. About half way through, there was a stop at a bar for your first of 3 included beer tastes. These were maybe .2L mugs. At the end of this part of the experience, you're given a 10% off coupon for the gift shop and 2 beer tokens, then you head up a level where you can use supplied tokens at the bar for what I feel were full .5L mugs of beer. There were foos ball tables, plenty of seating and large WCs. Front one of the beertenders, we ordered a Pretzel. We paid for it at the bar and 10 minutes later, a fresh, hot pretzel and mustard was delivered to where we were sitting. We toured a number of Beer Experiences around the world. This was a real good one.
