Some of the most hard-working people I've ever met in my life. We had a lot to move from the second floor in one building up to the fourth floor in another. These guys worked tirelessly all day, I don't even recall seeing them stop to take a break. Unbelievably professional and worth every dime. We moved from Hayward to San Bruno, and we changed the date of our move at the last minute, by SF Bay Area Movers was able to help us out. They showed up early on the day of the move, and immediately got to work. The entire move only took them 3 and a half hours. It cost us a little less than $500 which was amazing! They moved fast, didn't waste our time or money, and were very nice and courteous. The only problem that we had was that our coffee table got damaged during the move. However, they did try to fix it. Also, if you want to pay with a credit card, they may or may not have a device to process it, or they may take down your cc number. We were taken aback, but decided to give them the information anyway. Hopefully our card information doesn't get stolen! we just moved from a one level condo on the second floor to a 3 story townhome and this company was AMAZING! Claudia communicated with us from the very first day we called to get a quote, right up to the SUNDAY before we moved. She confirmed every last detail. She replied to every email INSTANTLY. When we first called to get a quote, her and Riggo came out to look at our place and gave us a FLAT RATE fee including everything (packing material, mileage costs). No hidden fees. Flat Fee was regardless of how much time it took to move. Riggo and Julio came exactly on time (even 10 minutes earlier). They came in matching attire and a company labels truck. They worked quickly, efficiently and VERY carefully (taking care to read my labels on the boxes and wrapping all my furniture for safe transport). They took apart our bed and reassembled it in the new place. Very good communication between the movers. They put every box and every bag in whichever room it was supposed to go into. They even moved my couch a few times back and forth until I decided where it looked best! Overall it was a WONDERFUL experiences in what could be a very difficult time in ones' life. Claudia was very easy to work with to schedule the move and to obtain a quote. Riggo and his team were on time, hardworking and trustworthy. My husband was not around during the move and my Aunt and I felt comfortable the whole time. All of the guys were very nice. We managed to move a 4 bedroom house (including kitchen pack out) in about 8 hours. As a family who moves a lot for work, I was extremely impressed. I have used SF Bay Area Movers twice now. The first time was a short move from Hayward to Castro Valley. The second was a move from Castro Valley to southern California. They are prompt, quick, do quality work and still had the lowest quote both times. There are no surprise or hidden charges that I have read about with other moving companies. I paid exactly what I was quoted (plus a voluntary tip for the guys that drove all the way to southern California for me). They provided next day service on my longer distance move (~400 miles). I chose SF Bay Movers after reading their Yelp reviews and interviewing 3 movers. Rigo came for an estimate and was polite and professional. Phone and email communication with Claudia was excellent. On moving day, the truck showed up on time with Rigo and two other men. They all introduced themselves and quickly got to work. These guys treated our furniture like precious antiques. They were careful and thorough. They didn't flinch when I asked them to flip the mattress or move a chest of drawers to another location. Nothing, not a single thing, was broken or dented. I still am amazed how they carried our very heavy furniture into a two storey house. Overall, I would not have a single hesitation to recommend them to others and use them for my next move (which I hope isn't for a LONG time). read more

Rigo and his team did a great job for us when we moved from a 2nd floor condo in San Ramon to a home in Lincoln, CA. They were professional, efficient, careful and hard-working. This was not an easy move, but they were a pleasure to work with throughout.. Just one word of caution. When Rigo came over a couple of weeks ahead of the move to give us a bid, he gave us a firm price of $xxxx. However, about half way through the move, he realized that all our stuff was not going to fit in one truck. At first we were upset because he said we were going to have to pay to rent another truck... and we had selected this company based on comparing their price to others. My husband did have to rent another truck from a local rental company, but Rigo didn't charge us anything extra for all the additional loading and unloading -- and it turned out to be 2 very full truckloads. Overall, I think Rigo was very fair about it (given that we had so much stuff) and everything worked out fine. But I do wish he had been more accurate in his original estimate. If you are getting multiple bids, it would be wise to pay attention to the size and number of trucks each firm estimates you will need. Given that word-to-the-wise, I would definitely use them again and/or recommend them to friends. read more

About two weeks before our moving date, Rigo came to my house and reviewed the furnishings that needed to be moved. He provided me with a flat rate quote and promised that there would be no addtional charges when the move was completed. His crew arrived on time both days of my move and did a professional job moving our belongings from Concord, California to Reno, Nevada. My house had 2000 square feet of furniture and 200 boxes of stuff to move. We had no damage to our property and nothing was missing. The furniture was placed right where we wanted it in our new home and my family was extremely pleased with the work performed by SF Bay Area Movers. We were very happy with this moving company, who efficiently moved all of our heavy worldly goods out of a second-floor walk up (no elevator)... Claudia, the receptionist, was very helpful in getting the appointment set up. Rigo (the owner) and his assistant mover showed up on time with all the equipment needed and immediately got to work. They were friendly and efficient, and never stopped working for more time than it took to finish a glass of water. They were gentle with our breakables and very respectful of or possessions, moving everything with care and getting things done as quickly as possible. Even when they saw that the job was going to take longer than they thought (we have a lot of books and some HEAVY furniture), they kept working a good pace -- I never felt like my money was being wasted; they were very efficient. The owner is the one who does the moving: he cares about his work and his reputation, and wants to make sure that you're happy with his service. (Even when he knew he was going to be late for the move happening after ours, he still took care with moving things to make sure everything was where it should be, in good condition... our apologies to the person who had to wait.)
