I stumbled upon the begging process of this mural a month or so ago and was curious on how it would look when finished. Upon returning the other day this now has a very vibrant pink background that makes it stick out for sure. Mural was done in honor of one of the artist grandpas so I assume the randomness of some of the designs maybe hold down sort of sentimental purpose. So that is really cool. Overall cool and unique piece that is going to draw some attention and probably become a popular photo op especially for the nearby bar hoppers.

Created in 2017 by an Aron Conway & Remi this artwork has a lot of things to take in. Admittedly I am unable to guess the theme and purpose but it is still really cool and a really large piece of work. Plenty of photo ops for people here. My second oldest daughter personally was a fan of pretending to kiss the pig on the lips for her photo op. So we had some fun with that. Overall pretty cool and worth checking out if you are a fan of public art.

I've never heard of this one is I'm not in Wichita much so it might have been there for many years I'm not sure. But it's a nice story short the different pictures in the history of Butchertown and story Avenue so I really like this new role and they took a lot of good time and dedication to it

This is very well down rendering of former President Abraham Lincoln. Great use of colors and shares his likeness accurately. The mural is part of a citywide art intuitive called alley gallery where local artist paint murals on exterior doors throughout the city of Lousiville. This mural features jockeys riding race horses in what appears to be a tightly ran horse race. There are a few alley gallery renderings Similar to This. But in a city known for the Kentucky derby and a rich horse racing history it makes sense. Overall it's always fun to discover murals that are part of the alley gallery initiative. Such a cool and fun way to spread public art and giving local artist a chance to shine.

This one is on a door blocked by a garbage can so you do the best you can to get back there and take a picture as best you can and to see it but it's a pretty cool looking one and of course focuses on our horses and how we're known for horse racing.

Which makes it pretty phenomenal and one of my favorite pieces of art that I have seen recently. Definitely go check it out it's right over the railroad tracks and easy to see

Russell neighborhood underpass mural is westend neighborhood of Lousiville. As you enter into the…read moreRussell portion they have painted up the top of the underpass along with the insides and outside. Really creative use of public art. The murals filled with motivational words and people that I assume have some sort of connection to this neighborhood. Very busy road so if if photographing you may want to street park or put hazard lights on and drive slowly. Overall a really cool and nice tribute for that particular neighborhood. Some very cool looking paintings on This underpass.
