From initial contact they were very nice and accommodating to our schedule and what we are looking for. Our direct scheduler has always made her self available to us by early on giving us all of her contact information and i can reach her easily by any means and if something were to arise she calls me right away to let me know if a BT cant or us running late. Our supervisor is also amazing shes also available to us rain or shine if we have any questions or concerns about programs. She comes often to over see sessions to better accommodate his programs to him and keep him challenged. Once that my son got really sick they both were checking up on him to make sure he is okay and as a mother that really made me elated because they dont see him as just a number or another case, they saw him as a child, like a family member and that will forever stay with me. His BTs are always trying new ways to connect with him and make sessions fun and different everytime. They are always asking how he is, whats different, any new favorite thing or songs. They also help guide me so i can run his programs myself once they leave so we can continue on striving foward. I cant rave enough about our team but aside from us his parents his bigger cheerleaders are his team. They celebrate just as hard as we do when he reaches milestones that at one point seemed lightyears away. I hope this review helps a parent feel more at ease about taking their child to ABA therapy at behavior frontiers . It might be a bit scary and difficult at first but if you have a great team to back you up it makes it easier and more rewarding.

They take the time to understand each child as an individual and identify the most effective manner to communicate and educate them. They are taught to be respectful and kind to others. The nurturing and free thinking approach made such a positive change in my sons social development and academic growth. They foster a collaborative environment amongst the grade levels and student population as a whole. The children are taught to embrace one another's strengths and weaknesses and to work together so everyone succeeds and feels good about themselves. They elevate the children through incentives and other programs they make available throughout the school year. In closing, this center truly takes the time and works diligently to make sure each student has the very best experience and the necessary tools to achieve optimal results in their personal and academic development and growth.

The Lab is focused on making cutting-edge, evidence-based educational approaches available to anyone! It uses a mastery-based approach (inspired by the approach of the Khan Lab School in Mountain View CA) - where each child is met where they are and on building each child's independence skills in learning so each child becomes the "owners" of their own learning. The Lab offers a wonderful array of classes designed to build love of learning and build solid academic skills. My daughter took readers and writers workshops based on Caulkins work at Columbia where she developed outstanding writing skills, project based learning activities which were very engaging, everything from designing shelters to support unhoused individuals to one focused on important times in history (she chose the roaring '20s) and environmental issues among many others. Lots of outdoor activities, help with her homeschool curriculum, talent shows, cooking classes, gardening, field trips to museums and on and on. Always something great happening there. --- She aged out of the Lab and is now in traditional high school in a large public school setting. And she was SO well prepared! She started at the Lab in 3rd grade 2 years behind in reading and math. She tested on the NWEA a national test in 8th grade as college level reading and 11th grade math (2 years ahead of her 8th grade age). In her first year of high school, she made straight As, honor roll, and each of her teachers mentioned how much they enjoyed working with her and how skilled she was in navigating her work and participating in class. Another commented on how she was one of the few in his class willing to ask as many questions as needed to really understand what was being taught (something encouraged at the Lab) But most of all, and most importantly, she LOVES learning. For kids with ADHD, dyslexia, or autism, that usually comes down to cognitive skills which is what they help with here. The staff genuinely love what they do and the kids they work with. You feel it the second you walk in. The owner is warm and always helpful. If you've tried everything and nothing has worked, give this place a shot. It opened my eyes and I have a feeling it'll do the same for you.

If progress were written on the IEP, how come staffs are reluctant to show these progress in real life in front of parents? Staffs are also frequently being shuffled from classroom to classroom as needed. Staffs almost always have a hard time responding to very specific questions. Parents: you have to ask more questions. Preferred Practice Talk & Play is the worst! We started going here last year because the person I…read moreinitially spoke with (Lorena) and my kid's previous therapist (Ciara) were both very warm and helpful. THEY HAVE SINCE LEFT AND THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE NOW ARE THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE! Disorganized is an understatement. They had no other OTs in the entire clinic and could not find a replacement from November through late February. They offered us no other option for receiving services during this time, and kept stringing us along saying that another therapist will be there then cancelling on us at the last minute week after week. Even now it's almost April and they STILL only have one occupational therapist to handle "so many kids" who they can't fit into the schedule but will apparently try to charge money for anyway. The most recent OT hire is named Caitlyn. We saw her for two sessions last month--this is after my kid was put on pause because they didn't have any therapists available at all. In these sessions she didn't really interact with my kid. Part of our OT services include feeding therapy and the food container we brought wasn't even opened by the therapist at all. She could have easily communicated her plan to do this with a quick text beforehand knowing that the meal prep of bringing a combination of preferred versus non-preferred foods for every session takes time and effort. The following sessions after that were cancelled AGAIN because shortly after starting there the new hire went on a long vacation (which again was not communicated to me while I was there in person) then she called off sick prolonging her return back from vacation. Of course she shouldn't come in if she's truly sick but the way everything unfolded is questionable. They also did NOT offer any virtual alternatives. We tried to schedule a makeup with Caitlyn but she made it extremely difficult by suddenly removing available time windows, having a passive aggressive tone, and generally taking forever to respond--four days in between texts and two weeks since my request to be exact--which she only finally did because my kid had a scheduled session that day. Her long awaited response was disappointing and pointless as she just told me to redirect my questions to people that I do not know with no further info. I asked her to clarify and she never answered that either. My kid's session that day (after Caitlyn cancelled all other sessions this month) was very uncomfortable. Caitlyn also kept forgetting paperwork for every session that my kid was there. The makeup remained unscheduled and when I called the clinic about her regular session time, I was only met with more attitude. We were fed up with the clinic cancelling sessions at this point, especially since we had never once cancelled from our end. On the phone I spoke with the "Director of Operations" who introduced herself as both Monica and Monique. Monica/Monique was very dismissive, defensive, and condescending to me. She speaks very passive aggressively too. She said that we are lucky that they kept a spot open for us while they transitioned to a new therapist. In hindsight I wish we would not have been so understanding and patient while waiting for them. We should have left the clinic when the good therapist did! Monica also trash talked the therapist from last year. When I said that we weren't comfortable proceeding with the new therapist this week, she was quick to tell me that we shouldn't return and to find my kid's OT services elsewhere, as if it was only her choice not mine. We were told that they needed clients when we were first referred here but I can see why others would leave with this type of behavior. They don't have a big online presence so maybe that's how they've gotten away with it so far but I want to leave a review because I wish I knew all of this before we wasted all this time and energy here. Monica/Monique also said that my kid's authorization expired at some point after November while they were looking for a replacement, despite making me believe that my kid was covered this whole time--I asked before her previous therapist left and after. They also told me that they submitted a progress report last week which doesn't make sense given that they've barely scheduled us in since last year. They NEVER told tell me there was any evaluation taking place! When I asked for more information she refused and said this isn't something that they talk to parents about. They are so unethical and shady so be careful! Also note that unlike other clinics, this one has you directly text the therapist and there is usually nobody available at the front desk to check you in. If there was somebody, we were just ignored. Other clinics actually greet you, treat you with respect, and appreciate your business so please take it elsewhere.

I scheduled my NRP skills session through the official NRP website after I had completed the online…read moredidactic portion, and when I arrived, the office was completely deserted, locked doors, no staff, nothing. After working a full night shift and driving here, I was met with total chaos and zero communication. No notice, no explanation...just an empty office wasting my time and energy. This is beyond unprofessional. It's unacceptable, infuriating, and shocking that an organization handling certifications can operate this way. Now I have to rush to find another provider to complete my NRP renewal. Absolutely appalling. This is why I refuse to pay for services BEFORE they are rendered. I should have read the reviews prior to scheduling because this is apparently the norm for his business practices. (I will include of photo of another review of a similar situation) but considering I scheduled this VIA the NRP website I did not believe it would be unprofessional. 10/10 would not recommend.
