Came here for my friend's birthday on the weekday and it was pretty busy. We got the all you can eat with alcohol option and the drinks were a little watered down but the meat was really good especially the wagyu and the green sauce was the highlight! The food came out a little slow but it was worth it.

The quality and quantity of ingredients are excellent! My son loves the spicy miso broth and ramen noodles, while I love their cilantro garlic sauce. Price is reasonable for what you get. With the large combination meat, I should have ordered a Kobe and a small lamb. The pork was not as flavorful as my usual spot for hot pot in Milbrae. We celebrated my nephew's 20th and Shabu with a bigger group is ai much fun because it is interactive and an activity ( preparing your meal) in addition to eating. The mango ice cream s elite. Service is appropriate for Shabu and staff is attentive.

Tried this place for the first time and it did not disappoint. Ordered the American Wagyu regular size. It came with a big bowl of vegetables along with your choice of ramen or udon noodles and rice, and cilantro ponzu sauce. Or you can have regular ponzu. Service was great. The place is nice and big. It can accommodate big groups.

My new favorite hot pot spot! Super clean and the staff is attentive! Street parking is a bit hard to find but worth it! I love the broth, the sauce and the quality of the meats!

I'll go right into it. THIS LOCATION IS BETTER THAN THE ONE IN MISSION BAY. Food is fresher, roomier, no condensation coming down the window. AT LEAST FOR NOW: Monday to Thursday, happy hour food and drinks are ALL NIGHT! the server was super helpful and friendly (thanks for telling us about the happy hour btw) Will definitely return!!

I was heartbroken when Shabu House closed, but I am very happy Shabu Club has replaced it. This location is easy to get to and parking is not too bad compared to the SF location. Pro tip: if you don't have reservations, get there when they open at 5. I especially love coming here when it's cold. They offer AYCE + drink here but a large plate of beef is enough food for me. Food is delicious and make sure to use their sauce. Not too much has changed since the transition. Still clean and you can see the steam rising from the soup pots lol. Service is OK and food comes out pretty fast. Once we get all the items we're pretty much left to it and usually talking through our meal anyway. This will probably be my go-to for shabu.

Shabu Club has been one of my favorite recent Burlingame discoveries! If you're in the mood for generous portions of tasty hot pot, I would absolutely recommend it! For starters, I would definitely suggest making a reservation for this place, especially if you're going with a group, as it gets pretty packed. The past couple times, I've gotten the 3 meat combo (pork, lamb, and wagyu beef) with udon and tonkotsu broth, and it's been fantastic. The meat is fresh and the broth is very flavorful. They also offer a side of garlic ponzu sauce that is to die for! We also usually order the kamikaze wings and kobe beef fries, and I'd highly recommend both (especially the fries)! And be sure to take advantage of the happy hour, which runs daily from 5-6:30, as it's a great way to save on those apps and the delicious variety of soju they offer! Service has always been very fast and friendly for us. And to top it off, they offer complimentary ice cream at the end of the meal, as a lovely sweet palate cleanser to chase the delicious salty hot pot... What's not to like? This is definitely a spot I'll be returning to anytime I'm craving hot pot!

Love Love Love Perfect for a cold winter day! Chicken wings were so good - cooked to perfection and coated very lightly with an amazing sauce And the fries.... Just could not stop eating them. The beef and sauce topping was very addicting! The Shahu itself - delicious broth followed by fresh veggies and lean meat. Staff were very attentive in refilling the broth pot and kind enough to keep their distance while we went to town!! Therefore, leading to order more At the end you get your choice of ice cream in a cone - we ordered one of each and all were delicious! Would I go again? ABSOLUTELY!!!

Nice space, hard parking. The set menu is good and the broth flavor. Icecream at the end is also tasty.

THEIR SIGNATURE GARLIC CILANTRO SAUCE WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY DINNER!! I had this a few days ago and am still thinking about this sauce. Opted for the All you can eat and kept re-ordering their Wagyu beef. Loved how thinly sliced they were and came in 2 sets each time. As for the broth, we ordered Spicy Miso and Spicy Tonkatsu. Both had the right amount of spice. Service was great. Staff are friendly, especially our server Henry. Aside from checking in on us throughout our meal, he would occasionally make small talk! Cherry on top was the complimentary ice cream! Got the Green Tea and Black Sesame. Both were good but regret not trying their Lychee flavor!

Came here for a birthday. You can get a free ayce if it's your birthday and your party is 6 or more. We got the ayce and honestly it was underwhelming. I felt very limited compared to other places as I could only eat beef, pork, and lamb. The meats were difficult to differentiate as they looked different every time. I thought the broth could also use more flavor.

Excellent experience here! Love the menu options and service was very friendly. Miso broth is saltier than the tonkotsu, but I enjoyed the flavor of both. The garlic ponzu sauce they give is amazing on everything. I also tried their sesame sauce but it was a bit too sweet for me. Large combo + appetizer easily fed two considering it comes with both noodles and rice and everything was tasty. The veggies/carbs all come stacked in a bowl so it's a bit difficult to extricate, but I liked all the sides. Only the two baby carrots seemed like a bit of an afterthought Such a nice touch to include good quality ice cream in a cute cone at the end of the meal with excellent flavors. The black sesame was extremely delicious. Good value for what you get!

This is hands-down my favorite spot for hot pot, and here's why: the garlic/cilantro sauce is legendary, the beef is super tender, and the spicy miso broth packs the perfect punch. Oh, and did I mention they throw in free ice cream at the end? Win. Service is always on point. The staff are quick to help with anything you need. The chicken wings surprised me too: full of flavor and perfectly juicy in the middle. With seven TVs showing sports and some R&B playing at just the right volume, the vibe is spot-on. Pro tip: toss your udon and beef in your bowl, drizzle that garlic/cilantro sauce over the top, and mix it all together. thank me later.

One of the things that happened when I visited this bar was I asked for a simple lemonade. The reason was because I had a soccer game the next day and I didn't want to drink alcohol and I wanted to get some electrolytes in me. It would have been very simple for the bartender to just say, "I'm sorry we don't serve lemonade." Instead what he did is say I worked here 20 years and he never served lemonade and then kept scoffing at me. He kept saying this three times, walking back and forth, up until the point the patron next to me even said, "Don't worry about him." After that without even me talking to him, he said, "Who orders lemonade at an Irish pub?" Then without me saying anything, he said, "No one orders lemonade at an Irish pub." I was honestly just trying to get a drink and he made me feel very dumb. Overall if a patron asks you for a drink, it's very easy just to say, "I'm sorry we can't do that," but he kept making me feel like an idiot. I was also surprised they did not serve lemonade; that's a very simple request. He didn't offer any alternatives except for 7-Up, which I didn't really want but paid for anyway. I ended up not drinking it even after I paid for it and leaving the bar. I guess the bartender got what he wanted. He gave me a drink that was other than lemonade; he made me pay for it and I just left the bar unhappy. I would highly recommend against visiting this establishment, especially with the grumpy bartender. He is an older white Irish guy. I understand they might have your own customers at the bar but I think it costs nothing to treat patrons with respect and not tell them that they're stupid for asking for a drink. Overall I would not recommend this place at all. Very enforced error. Sad!

The ambiance is chill and they have a pretty good mix of tunes. I've heard corrido, old school rock, pop and a mix of others. This gets crowded! Love that it had locals and a mix of out of town. The age group also varies with younger folks to older folks. Everyone is welcome. There's the owner? Or main bartender who always holds down the fort. She does an amazing job getting everyone's drinks with a smile! She makes amazing Irish coffees! Highly recommend this place. One of my favorite dive bars. They also have an Irish newspaper that tells you local events (The Irish Herald). Very handy. I went to Ireland this year and the vibes here are super fun here just like I experienced in pubs there.

The place is quite pretty. We opted for a small table outside , which is much quieter. Our waiter was a bit stiff around the collar. I suspect he is an old timer, and clearly, we are not regulars. Regardless, the food is great, and the prices are reasonable. The Food: Zucchini Cake, $15 - 4.5 Stars Menu: crispy zucchini cakes with cucumber & mint-yogurt dressing These cakes are ball shaped, deep fried, and made a healthy veggie taste naughty type of good. Very yummy. Lol Tzatziki, $9 - 5 Stars Refreshing and delicious, the tzatziki is an excellent complement to the meal. Octopus, $19 - 5 Stars I really need to stop eating octopus, but when I am in a Greek or Spanish restaurant, I am weak. Grilled octopus legs are soooo good. Their version is grilled just right, not too much char, plus they smartly removed the hardened tips (common) before serving. See photo. There seemed to be quite a few parties indoors, which feels more like a club. Service was more leisurely than on previous visits due to the heavy amount of guests dining on a weeknight. Started off with the zucchini cakes and they were quite tasty. They were super flavorful and had a tasty dipping sauce that complemented this dish. The grilled octopus was gigantic and cooked to perfection, while not being rubbery. The lamb riblets were tasty as they were tender and served over a bed of arugula. The brussel sprouts were tasty, albeit a touch on the smaller side. Opted to share the chilean sea bass as the main course and it was gigantic. The sea bass was very fatty and buttery. I loved how this dish was served with some super soft potatoes and creamy spinach. The skin on the sea bass was also quite satisfying. The Galaktoboureko recommended by our waitress was merely so so. I find the version at Evvia much better. There is a 4% hospitality support charge added to the bill.

Walked into what is clearly a local institution - the kind of place where regulars know the staff's kids' names. Weekday evening crowd skewed silver-haired, which in my experience is always a good omen. These people have been eating out for decades - they know where the bodies are buried and where the good food is. Server was legitimately excellent. Paced the order so apps didn't collide with entrees - a simple move that most places fumble. Checked in without hovering. Knew the menu cold. Then this happened: I asked for a Pliney. He asked, "Elder or Younger?" That's when I had to pause. In all my years of ordering Plineys, no one has ever asked me that. Because no one has ever randomly had Pliney the Younger on tap. These guys did - apparently a locally advertised special that had been going on that day. They had a Keg of this rare stuff, and it was depleting quickly. I got the Younger on repeat till I was barely stumbling out of the place. Life is good. Ordered the Cheesesteak and it was legit - not playing around. The family went burgers, hot dogs, and wings. Dear Daniel Jones and Management Team, I am writing to bring a serious customer service issue to your attention that occurred at your establishment tonight, Saturday, June 13, at approximately 7:00 p.m. Earlier in the day, at 2:19 p.m., I called the pub to verify if the Giants game could be shown, knowing the NBA Finals would also be broadcasting tonight. The male employee who answered the phone graciously assured me, "We can put anything on that anybody wants." Relying on that promise, I came in later that evening. When I arrived around 7:00 p.m., I initially asked a male staff member to help change one of the screens to the Giants game. He was unsure how to operate the system, so I turned to the female bartender working behind the bar. When I asked if she could accommodate the game, she dismissively replied, "It's the NBA Finals." When I explained that I had called ahead and been told a TV could be accommodated, she flatly told me, "Nobody told you that," essentially calling me a liar. When I challenged her on this, she doubled down and repeated, "No, but nobody told you that." (Please note: I did not have my phone log open during the argument to give her the exact time, but I have since verified it was 2:19 p.m.). Fortunately, the male staff member stepped in to circumvent her hostility and successfully put the game on for me. However, her confrontational, rude, and accusatory behavior completely ruined the experience. I do not have her name, but she is a Caucasian woman, likely in her mid-to-late 40s, with dirty blonde hair, and she was working directly behind the bar at 7:00 p.m. tonight. As a business management team, I know you value your reputation. This is not how paying customers should be treated when simply following up on an agreement made by your own staff. I expect this matter to be addressed with the employee in question, and I look forward to hearing how this will be resolved.
