Stopped by on Saturday, 02/01/25 for the first time. AYCE hot pot ($28.99 per person). You first choose your soup base flavor. Both of my parents got the House Shrimp Special Broth and I got the Vegetarian Broth. There is a menu where you can ask for unlimited seafood/meat; we got the beef wagyu, beef prime top blade, beef chuck eye steak, and basa fish 2x). Then there is a buffet-style bar where you can grab veggies, seafood (shrimp, fish balls, squid, clams), fruits, sauces, and sushi. There is also ice cream! Overall I enjoyed this place - worth my money!

Cousins night out! It's finally raining in Cali, so we decided to eat shabu to warm up. Parking: This spot is located in downtown Arcadia, so finding a parking spot can be a hit or miss. Free parking spots and parking garage. Ambiance/Environment: They have a large space with plenty of indoor seating! No outdoor seating. It's sooo clean inside! The soups are individually served in front of you. The heat level can be easily adjusted. Service: There were a few servers that assisted us. We didn't catch anyone's names except Charles. Everyone was attentive, quick, & efficient tho! Soups, meats, & toppings: We ate AYCE for $28.99 pp! What a deal! Be mindful they have a strict no left overs policy. Their meat selection is really easy to choose from; it's between a spectrum from fatty to lean. They also have lots of flavorful soups to choose from. Our favorites were the Sukiyaki and House Special Shrimp! They have a large self serve toppings & sauce bar. Everything is labeled and clean! The vegetables, fruits, & seafood were fresh as they were kept cold and frozen. Don't forget complimentary ice cream dessert! Pricing: Definitely worth its price! We appreciated how clean everything was. The soups were absolutely flavorful. Highly recommend their AYCE option!

Shabu Lin's $19.99 lunch special is the unique hybrid of AYCE hot pot items with only one plate of protein of your choice. BF and I stopped by for a weekday lunch and we both chose the beef wagyu for our individual plate, while I picked the savory pork bone broth and he got the house shrimp special broth. After our protein and broth selection, we were free to fill our plates with as much veggies and sides and other hot pot ingredients as our hearts desired. Shabu Lin has a good selection of seafood and fish/meat balls than what I expected. I thought I'd have trouble getting full off one plate of meat and hot pot sides, but I was wrong! I only had one full plate from their hot pot bar and was so so full. Only improvements I can see if making sure to clearly mark what's in each container. The dumpling that day was full of kimchi, which I would've skipped so that it doesn't affect my broth, but I found out too late after getting two pieces. They also have Thirfty ice cream for dessert, but only had sherbert the day I was there (sherbert is not my fave). All in all, a pretty pleasant hot pot experience! Our server was pretty awesome and friendly. Parking is pretty easy, lots of spots if you enter off of Alta Street.

The price point here is a good deal for $28.99 for an AYCE experience, the interior is spacious and perfect for larger groups I like the wide variety of veggies they had here, some unique items from the self-serve bar included pineapples and tea eggs. I ordered the pork bone broth and the mala which had a nice kick to it -- I like that this place does individual pots so you can eat at your own place! You order meat through the waiters -- they arrive in a timely order I thought the meat menu showing the cuts of meat was a nice touch. Parking is available via street!

The service is good! The food is good! The place is.. okay! Not the most fancy place but honestly the meats are good! Their salad bar area is not bad. I didn't really like the fishballs they had but their kimchi and pickled jalapeños are good! I took off a star because the sauce bar wasn't that great. Any combination of sauce was way too salty. Maybe it was my fault but I never really made a bad combination sauce at any other places. But honestly the meats are kind of good without the sauce! Also not really a fan of their dessert area. The ice cream scoop sits in a container with stagnant water and who knows how long that's been sitting there. But I still ate it and I didn't get any type of food poisoning! Overall, my experience here was good. I would definitely come back!

OVERALL : This is a great spot for shabu, especially if you like having your own individual soup pot and being able to self-serve the sauces and veggies/sides. The casual yet friendly vibe makes it good for lunch or dinner -- very family friendly. A lot of diff options so there's something for everyone. PARKING : Located on a street with a lot of restaurants and shops -- there is a parking lot in the back and also street parking available! FOOD/DRINKS : I like that everyone gets their own individual soup pot here so you don't need to compromise on which soup base to get! I tried the House Special Shrimp and my sister tried the Pork Bone Broth. They also had a Mala Spicy and Korean Army Soup base along with the typical sukiyaki and miso ones. Both were great soups w flavors that complimented the meats and veggies well. We added some spicy sauce too. You order meat at the table w the server and then go to their self-serve station for seafood, veggies, noodles, and other sides + a DIY sauce bar. They also have self-serve ice cream for dessert. They offer AYCE or a-la-carte lunch/dinner and have solid choices like USDA Wagyu Eye of Round, Prime Top Blade, Premium Short Plate, Pork Belly, and Lamb, to name a few. I don't think the meat is the most premium top quality, but it is sufficient for AYCE and for this price. You can def get a good protein fix here if that is your priority! Service was friendly, and the store itself was simple but clean. Def planning on coming back here again for lunch sometime if I'm looking for a fast no-frills typa spot!

We had dinner there this past Friday. There is a decent amount of parking along the street and we lucked out with a spot in front of the restaurant. Inside the place is warm and inviting. The service is top notch and really on top of things. We did the AYCE option which is only $28.99 and I think that is a really great value. The seafood, vegetables, noodles and other options that are part of the food bar are extensive. You get a lot of sauce options as well. The meat that they bring out to you is all freshly cut in the back. Thin, flavorful and delicious is how I would describe the beef, pork and fish option. You never see fish as an option and I highly recommend you try it. It absorbs the broth quite nicely and is light and flakes. The broths we got were the Korean Army Stew and the Ginseng Chicken. Both were flavorful and unique to this place. I highly recommend both of them. If you still have room they have Thifty's ice cream that you serve yourself. All in all a wonderful restaurant, with great service and even better food. We cannot wait to come back again.

So this place is in a cute neighborhood section of Arcadia! It's one of those places that feels like either a small town or right by a campus. Parking might be a bit on the trickier side if it's busy, but trust this place is worth it! The interior is clean. Feels welcoming and warm. I got the Ginseng Chicken broth, it's very comforting and feels like a warm hug. My friend got the Korean Army Stew. We got to order one of each protein in the menu, the one that was surprisingly great, was the Basa fish. It was decent thick slices so it absorbs any flavor you cook it in! The self serve bar has lots of options on it. Like some seafood, veggies, plus things like seasoned hardboiled egg and California rolls! Don't forget the sauce station! Also, end the meal with the self serve Thrifty's Ice Cream! I had to get my rainbow sherbet! Check this place out if you're in Arcadia!

Shabu Lin is a premium all-you-can-eat hotpot spot known for their wagyu offerings and huge salad bar. Admittedly, I am not the biggest fan of hotpot, but my sister (once again) convinced me to give this spot a try as they slice their meats fresh and each slice is thin to my liking. We got to try all of their premium meats with our favorite being the #3 chuck eye steak! So good! As for the soup bases, we tried Ginseng Chicken, Miso, and Mala. All were on the mellower side but had good flavor. I appreciate how our table allowed us to individually enjoy our own boiling pot of soup. Very convenient! Please check them out they next time you're in the SGV!

We came in there was a little wait. Service was a little slow but it's acceptable. The food is ok, there is selection of meat and seafood and there is sorbet when were there. Ample parking in the street.

First things first, the value. With prices ranging from a $20 lunch for 2 meat plates and a $29 price tag for AYCE, it's definitely the main draw of this place. It's pretty much impossible to find any AYCE under $30 anymore. We got seated on a Thursday afternoon around 5pm and there was ample seating. A small nitpick, but I think the music should be a little louder we were the only party there at the beginning, but was definitely a bit quiet. This place also has a decent selection at the salad bar with your veggies, fish balls, shrimp at the sort with a mini sauce bar as well. The sauce bar was pretty compact and missing some of the usual add ons, and I thought the ponzu was a slight miss for my taste but it gets the job done. Now onto the main point, the meats. First of all, I chose the Mala broth - standard Mala broth, rich and oily and definitely what I wanted to pair my meat with. Onto the meat selection, there are around 8 choices. I'd definitely suggest going more for the fatty meats like Chuck and the Short plate. The leaner meats definitely did not do it for me. The fish though works especially well with Mala and was really good in general. But overall, I think the lower quality of the meat is a little apparent. Although, I enjoyed some of the fattier meats it still left me wanting more with every bite. The color before and after cooking, as well as a slight toughness to everything cooked as I tried to leave it in the broth for less and less time, was a slight disappointment. Overall, if you're just looking to get a high volume of meat for your money's worth this place could do it for you. Personally, I think shelling out a little more cash for some of the other great spots in the area would be more worth it.

I have not been here in a while because they provided me bad service last time I was here. But I came again because my brother wanted to try. It seems this place is under new management. And the service is better. The staff is nice. The food quality is very good. More slices of meat in each plate than expected. The place is very clean and relaxing. I will be coming back and more often.

Price was worth the meal! You get your own soup bowl and service was nice and quick. There's unlimited sides you can add to your soup like vegetables, fish cakes, noodles, etc. Also a bit of sushi too.

Anybody know what happened ? I feel like they closed so suddenly.

The sign on the door says temporarily close due to family issue. Does not give a day of when it will open but since I work down the street I drive by just to make sure.

    Are solo diners allowed?

    Yes they are

Do they offer hot food items?

They did at one point the first time I visited but the past two times they didn't have it.

    Is this AYCE?

    Yes!

Is lunch on the weekends dinner price?

Yes. Lunch price is only on weekdays

Does ur restaurant require vaccinations card?

I was there a month ago, and they did not check my vaccination card.

    Do they have outdoor dining?

    We don't have outdoor dining.

Does each guest get their own soup pot? Have a big group coming, do they need to show vaccination card?

    Guests get their own pot.

    Hi! Can we do BYOB?

Please call to restaurants for more details. Thanks!

Does everyone at the table need to order shabu shabu? Can they order a soup or something else?

Shabu shabu is the only option we offer; in the case someone does not want to eat, that's fine.

I was curious how the acye menu works for take out?

Same as when you eat there.

    Does Friday count as weekend?

Friday is weekday pricing. Lunch pricing is from 11:30-3:00 and dinner is after 3.

    How is the AYCE like?

You can order as much meat as you can eat, they have 10 selections I believe. There are also a cooked food bar and raw food (mostly seafood, veggies, and different noodles) bar, you can take as much as you want to cook in your personal hot pot.

Is the meat selection limited or unlimited?

It's AYCE, but lunch has limited 5 choices, while dinner is all 10 selections.

Is the self serve area the same options for lunch and dinner?

They exclude some of the seafood like crab and crawfish for lunch

What is the weekend pricing for vegetarian? Is it still $12.99 or does it become $26.99?

Weekends are all day dinner pricing; vegetarian will be $18.99.

Is Friday considered the "weekend price"?

    Saturday and Sunday

Do I need a reservation to come in the weekend?

Only if you're going with a large party or want to go at prime dinner times like 630-800. I've gone with my family several times between 530 and 615 and we've never needed reservations or had to wait. However, I have called ahead when i've had… Read more

Does this place get packed Saturday at opening time?

I came a bit lat so the rush has died down. But when we got there it was still busy. I've passed by there before on a Saturday night and I saw people waiting outside

Is it each person has a personal pot?

    Yes.

The bulgogi plate is a must-order when dining in. There's something special about that sizzling hot plate arriving at your table with the meat still bubbling and caramelizing. The banchan is standard fare with basic kimchi, nothing to speak home about but expected for standard Korean cruisine. What I appreciate most is how family-friendly this place is. The food court setting offers plenty of spacious seating, and parking in the lot is never an issue. I mostly do pickups and there's usually no wait time. You mix your bowl of rice (be careful since the bowl is metal and hot!) into the bibimbap bowl, add sauce (only spicy version they do not have nonspicy sauce!) and mix!! It has all sorts of veggies and meat bits and a fried egg. You can also add all the banchan in as well but we wanted to eat them separately with each bite. They gave us a raw egg (crack it in the soup asap if you don't want it runny!) which I cracked into the hot stone soup, be careful because the bowl is super hot!! I think someone melted our tray with is be fair because the tray was morphed as well. Soup was delicious, love the tiny shrimps, clams, and oyster pieces inside with plenty of tofu which I mixed into bibimbap as well. Banchan was 5 dishes! Potato's salad is new to me as I'm used to their kimchi, seaweed, bean sprouts and fish tofu dishes. All great! Enough food so I didn't ask if they give extra banchan or a price or free. Once we were done we returned the tray and bowls to the restaurant. Glad I tried this is person! Still amazing and worth the wait.
