Missy was very easy to communicate with and had a lot of great ideas/suggestions, but also totally open to my direction/vision. We ended up shooting in her studio, which was fantastic. It has an all white backdrop with natural lighting and the photos turned out stunning. She provided some props that I was not expecting, but really appreciated, additional accessory options and a completely professional and comfortable environment. However, once I got engaged, my fiancé and I were with my friend and her husband, and the way he spoke about how much be loved and "used" the photos when she was recovering from giving birth convinced me to do boudoir photos for my fiancé. Naturally, I was nervous about doing them, but they informed me that in their entire time in business, they have never had a leak. More importantly, the pictures are so tasteful that if they did get out, at least there is no actual nudity at all. Before your shoot, they send you a super detailed and helpful e-mail about what to bring/order, what they have that you can wear, where to park, and anything else you can think of! Definitely read the whole e-mail even though it's lengthy because it's got lots of useful stuff in there! I did the By the Sea Shoot, which is only done on Saturdays from about 3:15/3:30-7:15/7:30 p.m. includes 1-1.5 hours of hair and make-up. My schedule went like this: 3:30 p.m.-4:45ish p.m.: Ashley did my hair and make-up while giving me some champagne to relax and loosen up 4:45-5:00 p.m.: Get into outfit # 1 5:00 p.m.-6:45 p.m. ish: -Photos in outfit # 1, -Change into outfit # 2 and pics in that outfit in a different area or backdrop, -Change into outfit # 3 and pics in that outfit in a different area or backdrop -Ashley also had me put on a button down over outfit #1 and a fuzzy jacket over outfit # 3 which created 2 extra looks 6:45-7:00 p.m.: Pack-up to leave the studio and drive to the nearby beach 7:00 p.m.-7:15 p.m.: Pics in beach outfit # 1 7:15 p.m.-7:30 p.m.: Pics in beach outfit # 2 I did my shoot on Saturday, April 30, and I received my pictures via a password protected online gallery on Wednesday, May 11 (8 business days later). Then, you select 25 photos for the album using the favorites feature on the online gallery. Once you select those, Lindsey will edit your photos as little or as much as you want and send you a proof of the album. I haven't finalized my album yet, but I'm sure it will be great! My only critique would be that I did feel like the whole experience was a lot of money. I did find other studios that charge less. However, I proceeded with Boudoir Divas nonetheless for two reasons: First, for something like this, you really want to go with someone trusted and used by someone. Knowing my friend used them, that her photos were tasteful, that they made her feel comfortable, and that the photos were secure was important to me. Second, our engagement photos were $700.00 for 2 hours, and that did not include hair and make-up, so I guess $1,695.00 plus tax is pretty fair for a shoot twice the length that includes hair and make-up. Including some of the less scandalous photos or cropped photos that are appropriate that I absolutely loved. An added bonus to doing this is that there is so much pressure to look perfect on your wedding day, but these photos turned out so much better than I could have ever expected that they really boosted my confidence before my big day. Ashley was a great photographer too, who made me feel very comfortable, helped me style my outfits and made suggestions, listened to what I wanted, did a phenomenal job on my hair and make-up, posed me well (and actually showed me the poses first herself rather than just describing them), and is just a super sweet and kind human being! If you are thinking about doing boudoir photos, definitely use Boudoir Divas.

Fast forward to nearly 6 years since I've been a client, there is a saying that goes, "The more things change, the more it remains the same." The last time I stepped foot into their location, it was a towering space of wonder located in Sorrento Valley and now it is in a cozy, intimate studio near the ocean in Solana Beach. I had my photo shoot this past March, just a week shy of my birthday. I too, have transitioned in the past 6 years. The last time I was here, it was to celebrate my weight loss journey. It was definitely a milestone worth commemorating at the time, with an additional 30lb loss since those original photos were taken. At this phase in my life, I decided to do this for me. Not for my husband or for anyone else for that matter. In the past 12 months, I have endured and was blessed with a rollercoaster of life events that would test the mental and physical strength of any fierce woman. I chose "self-care" to celebrate my birthday this year and the care and attention of these fabulous women is what they gave me that day. What hasn't changed is the core of what makes The Boudoir Divas well sought after. The core being Marissa, Ashley, and Lindsey...and the addition of Julia on the day I was there. I felt like I was greeted by friends and was comfortable throughout the entire process. I brought in quite a selection of outfits even though they had many options to choose from as well. I was given feedback at what would look best for my shoot. Like before, I just let go of whatever anxiety I may have had and let them take care of me. Let them take the lead for you ladies. Ashley did a phenomenal job on my hair and makeup. Marissa was my photographer, and she worked her magic on me like before. Julia was an added addition to the team that added more positive vibes into my day. Lindsey is behind the scenes working on my selected photos. The whole process from start to finish was 3.5-4hrs. I had 3-4 wardrobe changes. I even opted to have a book this time around. I'm not going to reiterate what I had mentioned in my previous review since it very much still applies as far as the overall experience, post shoot photo review of your photos, and the process leading up to receiving your photos. The only change this time around is that I'm by the beach and there is a cute little cafe just a few steps from the studio as an option to go while waiting for the photos to upload. There is a reason why I'm a repeat client. These women love their job, and it shows. Its money well spent. You will get what you pay for. I feel like my second go this time around was even better. I looked amazing. I felt amazing. The quality of my photos is tastefully done. I'm surrounded by professional, caring women who have the wealth of experience that you will not find in any other photo studio that you may think of booking. I already have a few of my girlfriends booked and ready to go in the next couple of weeks and I'm excited for their experience. I advised I was pregnant and wanted some spooky maternity and sexy pictures for my DEPLOYED spouse. She said FUCK YEAH WE CAN DO THAT. Ok great! We scheduled a day and time. She messages me the day before asking to reschedule my shoot to a different time due to her double booking and needing to get to her sons game( mind you I have a one year old and scheduled this shoot after her nap time on purpose and owner Cami was aware of this) never the less, I reluctantly agreed to her time rescheduling. Day of .. We did the shoot. It was to be a 30 minute session and It wasn't even 20 min beginning to end. I thought she didn't get the proper poses I had requested and before leaving I said something. She was confident that we did get the content I was asking for.. a couple days later I ask her to please check over the images to see if we got the content I was wanting ( IE maternity sexy smoke tarot ) she replied back that she hadn't checked but would check soon. . A couple days later I get link to the 5 images she choose sent to me with a password to download. I DID NOT DOWNLOAD THEM AS I WAS EXTREMELY UNHAPPY ABOUT THE OUTCOME. . I reached out to owner Cami Warner and advised of how I was wanting specific content and we didn't even get one belly pic and I was also dissatisfied with the pictures as a whole as they were not what I was looking for and not what she advertised as her work. . I asked her to reshoot them as this was not work that was reflected when advertised. . She refused to reshoot stating that her set up was only that weekend. She could offer me a "discount " off a LARGER photoshoot package that would cost me more. After some further back and forth she finally agreed to reshoot the images but now I was no longer allowed to used her client closet nor was I going to get a shoot on location. It would be in studio. Which was also not what was advertised and also NOT what I was looking for. She proceeds to get rude and no longer wanted to help come to a resolution. . SO I went back to download the pictures as it was all I was going to have from my maternity shoot. . SHE TOOK DOWN MY PICTURES AND DELETED THE LINK!!! I WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO DOWNLOAD OR ACCESS ANY PICTURES!!!!. ... I filed a claim with PayPal as that is who I paid her through... THEY SIDED WITH HER AND ALLOWD HER TO KEEP MY MONEY AND MY PICTURES. I am COMPLETELY devastated to say the least that she would treat her customers like this. I WOULD NOT EVER recommend Bombshell Boudoir Intimate Photography. I was at easy and not self conscious at all, she help guide posing and would just snap when there was something natural flowing that worked for a photo. I was not impressed with the editing done for final product of the book we received (not sure who did editing). Over all I was satisfied and my husband loved the photos which is all that truly matters; just being a photography student I have my own ideas on editing so I just wasn't as pleased as I was hoping to be. There were some duplicate photos in the book that only the color was changed or photo cropped slightly to tighten the frame. Some blemishes were not edited out as requested (including printing on the bottom of the shoes I wore that was visible in several photos and just not attractive to look at). I fully understand artistic preference and creative differences but again some photos selected for final product were not included, others where just duplicates, specific editing requests were ignores (which just came across lazy and not wanting to do it). I fully enjoyed the experience and my husband loved (still does) the photos but it was not perfect. But if you are wanting to do a shoot I highly recommend it! (Even elsewhere). It can be just what you need to give yourself a good confidence boost and just realize how amazingly beautiful you are!

I went to check out the studio and browse the outfits before I scheduled a shoot. I found out the books start at $249, however they have a mini accordion for $99. Cherish was so great beforehand, at the shoot, and was so patient while I decided what pictures I wanted. Cherish took over 200 pictures of me and surprisingly a lot of them came out fantastic. I loved them before they were even edited. I was super self conscious since I've gained weight but she made me look great. I would definitely do this again and I recommend going through her. Unless you want a book I would get the $29 living social deal. It was worth every penny.
