He was injecting himself sometimes 4 to 5 times a day to try to keep his blood sugar stable without any good results. My husband found him through our insurance and I truly believe Dr. Mahmaljy has improved his quality of life besides prolonging it. Dr. Mahmaljy is very personable, he has an excellent bedside manner. He is soft spoken and listens intently to your complaints and symptoms. He is inspirational that he will get your blood sugar within normal ranges which gives you hope. His knowledge of insulin and the various other medications that help diabetics is vast along with his knowledge of various medical products that deliver insulin. His office staff is friendly and efficient during the check out process. They know insurance co pays well. We haven't had any issues or complaints with Dr. Mahmaljy and his staff in all of the years my husband has been his patient which I believe is 8+ years. The half hour drive from our house twice a year for hubby's appointment is definitely worth it. It's not often that you find a physician of his caliber but we're lucky we found Dr. Mahmaljy!

I left in tears feeling bad about myself knowing I was overweight and having been struggling with that since the fatigue started. I recommend him very highly, also urging you to get your colonoscopy done, despite the awful prep (which is a tad less awful than it used to be.)

He took the time to explain conditions and treatments with me all the way down to how the body works on a molecular level. He drew pictures and gave real life advice. He cares. He listens. He's funny. He's just an amazing doctor with an amazing bedside manner which you rarely see these days. It's evident from the moment you speak to him how much he really cares for his patients' well being and health. I have not had this experience in my 15+ years working in healthcare. I will be keeping him as my PCP as long as possible. VERY DISAPPOINTING IN DEED------…read more It was very dirty The nurse was not friendly at all The receptionist was more concerned with getting my mom to change her primary to this office (RED FLAG) The doctor didn't wear gloves - but stated that he didn't see anything wrong with her foot but she should get an xray The doctor wrapped my moms foot so tight that when we took her to get her xray they couldn't believe how much it had swelled in such a short time (10 minutes) When we left the doctor made sure that I had the Request to our Patients (change form) and How to leave a Review--NOT what to do with my mom going forward how to check with them about her foot - to see her current primary care doctor--nothing about her current situation??? I called that week on Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday to receive my mom's office notes to give to the nurses where she lives (it's required)--the receptionist told me every single day that the notes were not available as of yet?? What - then on Friday she stated that the doctor was out of the office for the July 4th weekend? REALLY? I followed up on the next Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday and still they were NOT ready? REALLY? So, mom called and the receptionist stated that she needed something for her facility that day.....The receptionist stated that she could send over the xray but she had NO OFFICE NOTES AS OF YET? We tried their portal and it didn't work? Just sayin' --BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!
