As I write this review, I want to cry knowing that I won't be able to have this ever again unless I take a trip back to Siargao. This was such a welcome fresh and healthy option and their bowls were absolutely delicious. Beautiful and instagram worthy, they have yogurt/smoothie bowls made from local fresh fruit in different tasty combinations. The Cloud 9 Kook was my favorite with banana, peanut butter, cacao and coconut. The place is right by cloud 9 and a little shack next to the water. My only complaint is that this spot is a bit spicier than others in the Philippines but I didn't mind when it was such a memorable place.

Refreshing and amazing! The peach bowl is the way to go would definitely come back over and over again! read more
Nothing like enjoying a refreshing acai bowl in the warm morning sun! After a week of eating a lot of meat and fried foods, this was just what I needed. The location is a little bit hidden but I happened to notice it while we were going down the road and I saw a sign for Shaka Bowls, so we came back after we were done surfing. You can get your caffeine fix here from their choices of teas and coffees, or have your fruits and veggies through their power bowls, smoothies, and fresh pressed juices. They do a bowl and coffee combo too, which was exactly what I wanted! I wanted to try the Bakunawa Bowl but it was a seasonal option only, so I went for the Blissful Butterfly. The colors weren't as vibrant and exciting as I hoped it would be from the butterfly pea flower, but it tasted delicious more importantly! I chose a matcha latte for my coffee, although it was the only drink with an extra charge for the bowl/coffee combo. Their outdoor seating is really nice, all underneath the palm trees and blue skies. read more

a siargao must! best bowls on the island for sure. i preferred the cloud 9 kook even though they recommend bom dia since it's most popular. the view is perfect of cloud 9 as well HIGHLY REC read more
The bowls here on on point!! Delicious and beautifully presented. I had the Bom Dia, which came with a TON of granola packed at the bottom of the bowl and sprinkled on top. I loved that the coconut on top was fresh, not the dry gross stuff. The mango was sliced so beautifully on top as well. The flavor of the bowl was great, and I liked that it wasn't too sweet. The price is a little steeper than other places on the island, but worth it! read more

Ah Shaka holds a special place in my Siargao heart. Safe to say I was addicted as I went 5 days in a row and tried almost every bowl. Only gripe is that they don't always have everything. For example, they never had any pressed juices or vegan energy balls while I was on the island. Understandable that they get everything shipped in so they're out of stock of different items a lot. Anyhow all the fruit is super fresh! I was a bit concerned to see a crate of whole cream milk when nothing on their menu has milk as it's all labeled as "coconut milk". Besides that this place is a great brekkie or brunch spot with nice people watching spots out front. Their stools are super high, but once you get up there it's quite nice haha. They also have free wifi that's great when it wants to work. It is a bit pricey coming in at 250 pesos per bowl, 300 if you want to add on a coffee. read more
This is a great place to rest and reenergize after surfing. Prices are on the higher side but you get real, good quality ingredients. I got the smoothie as I feel the bowls will be too much for me. The tropical island smoothie was yummy and you can really taste the different fruits they put inside. I like that they don't use plastic straws in the island. Instead, they use metal straws for juices and the bigger bamboo straws for the smoothies. It's a bit of a wait to get your order but this is a good sign as it means they are making as you order. Definitely worth a try. read more

Really awesome Smoothie/Acai bowls! Super delicious and a great way to start the day! Costs was about 250 per bowl as of Sept 2018. Been a few times and can highly recommend! read more
