4.5 Stars I was quite impressed with the Açai and Poke bowls from Shaloka / Shaka. We DoorDashed the order and the food came nicely prepared and packaged with order labels and our names written on top of the lids. Pleasantly surprised to discover that Shaloka is a food court stand in Eastview Mall. The quality of their bowls exceeded my expectations of typical food court food. What sets Shaloka apart from Tai Chi is their fruit bowls (Açai and Pitaya/Dragonfruit) and also their Signature Bowls. The fruit bowls are super refreshing and are akin to a smoothie in a spoon and bowl format. Their Signature Bowls also take the guesswork out of it. They are recipes that have already been tested. They are still customizable and you can even build your own like at Tai Chi if you wanted to. I got their Signature Hawaiian Classic bowl and it was delicious. Ahi tuna, salmon, avocado...enough said. It was yummy and I actually really loved their brown rice. It was short grain and had some good texture. Overall, it's the best poke i've had in Rochester, which isn't saying too much because there aren't too many other options. But still, the bowls are well-composed and feel more like a whole dish than a bunch of toppings thrown on top of rice. read more

I finally grabbed a bowl from Shaka/Shaloka for lunch today while doing some Christmas shopping. They have acai bowls, savory bowls, sushi, salads, smoothies, and bubble tea available. All can be customized. I ordered a bowl from the menu (not customized) and I can't remember what it was called, but it was something with Chicken Garlic in the name. It had, of course, chicken, with edamame beans, fried onion crisps, cucumber, red cabbage, tortilla chips, and a garlic sauce. I chose to have it over rice. It was was very filling but didn't feel heavy in my stomach. The flavors were fresh and delicious! This is a good choice from the mall food court if you want something fresher and healthier than the other fast food options. They also deliver on GrubHub. read more

I loved it here! I saw it on Yelp and knew I wanted to try it. I love poke bowls, but they didn't have a ton of vegetarian options to top it with like some other places do. I really wanted to try the Acai bowl anyway, so I got that. The acai is basically a smoothie on the bottom of the bowl, and you can top it with your choices. I got bananas, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, granola, and almond butter and nutella on the side. I didn't really think almond butter or nutella would go well with fruit, but they both did! Everything was good and fresh, and I really liked it. The only downside here is that it's kind of pricey. It was $11.77, and that was just for the bowl. No drink or anything else. It might be a pricey option in the food court, but it was also the healthiest. I am not at Eastview very often, so I'm not sure how often I'll be here, but I'd really like to go back. If they open another location, I'd definitely go there, too. There's also a $1 off check in offer on Yelp. I checked in after I ordered, so I didn't get to use it this time, but be sure to check in! read more

So good. If you are looking for a quick eat that's healthy, this is highly recommended. I got the açaí bowl. The entire menu is customizing your bowl and it's free. You can select as many fruit, toppings, etc and no extra cost. I added banana, strawberry, coconut shavings, almond shavings, and almond butter drizzle. It's a good amount of food and it's fresh and quality ingredients. My only compliant would be that it was pricey, but the food was good and there are not many similar options in Rochester with this offering, so I guess they have the right to. read more

Super yummy poke bowl! I got the salmon bowl with a ton of mix ins and it was all fresh and the sauces were delicious. I got a mix of spicy mayo and ginger miso yum! This is the best choice among the restaurants available in the food court area. I'd even consider stopping in just for lunch without shopping. Ended up going with a poké bowl that had salmon, fish egg, seaweed salad, edamame and jalapeño over a bed of brown rice. Everything was proportioned nicely and you could tell the person prepping the bowl took care with how it was arranged. It was fresh tasting with all the ingredients stated above standing out. Worth the cost and on par with the cost of most meals in food court. Looking forward to stopping here for lunch in the future. We waited 30+ minutes on two smoothies while the workers took their time making other people's orders that clearly ordered after us. One reason it took so long was because one of the workers was carefully pouring the leftover smoothie into his own cup and then drinking it before cleaning out the blender. The workers only seemed to make orders once the customers were enraged enough to start asking where their smoothies were. After telling the employees we've been waiting over 30 minutes, they seemed to just shrug me off with no apologies. read more

Yes, you can get a fantastic poke / raw fish bowl at the mall. I was skeptical bc it looks like no one was eating there but I tried it and I'm glad I did. I would go to the mall just to eat here.
