All time favourite Indonesian food. They've got the best items on the list. Cheap and good. I highly recommend it.

Very rude. Didn't say hello and ignored us the whole time. We decided to leave after 10mins sitting at the table. Reverse rascism?

I chose a fish dish, which came with two or three large pieces of fish, fried without a coating. I asked for the least spicy sauce, but it was still way too spicy for my tastes! It came with a huge portion of sticky rice. I love that kind of rice, but am unable to eat much due to carbs. My husband got a combo plate that had a nice variety of meat around the huge mound of rice in the middle. His came with a very spicy sauce too, but the main curry sauce was nice and mild. The restaurant itself is small and old. The workers were very busy, but also pleasant and friendly. It was a new, fun experience for us.

We got a lot of dishes to try. Our favorites are Pempek, Bakso, Mie Ayam Jamur, and Es Campur with Durian. The Pempek tastes really good. The fish cake, sauce, cucumber, and everything else remind me of how it tastes when I had it in Indonesia. Bakso comes with vermicelli and pangsit goreng. Too bad there's no Indonesian sweet soy sauce and chili condiments. They will compliment very well if mixed with the broth. The beef meatballs and pangsit goreng are good. Mie Ayam Jamur is good all around. Siomay Bandung is disappointing. Don't order this! The siomay itself is very bland. It tastes like an over-steamed bland tofu with a glob of filling in it. The only flavor we could taste was the peanut sauce. Last but not least is the Es Campur with Durian. Good amount of durian on the top and variations of jelly and nata de coco at the bottom. Great dessert. Give this place a try, but don't sit near the wall because a lady at the next table saw a small roach on the wall seat and freaked out. I sat on the wall seat too, so I quickly grabbed a piece of tissue and killed it with no hesitation. Don't know why I did that. Usually I am the one who is scared of bugs lol

It is also good for groups as there are banquet options ranging from $40-$60. In terms of the menu there are your typical Indo choices like nasi goreng, Babi guling and sate and heaps of entree and stir fries. We were seated, given water and some free prawn crackers. Prawn crackers were really nice! I ordered Pangsit cah which stir fried prawn and pork wonton with vegetables. Nicely braised veggies with 6 fried wontons. I also ordered pork sate which is 6 sate sticks. Really nice flavour and well cooked. My husband ordered Ayam Goreng which was large pieces of fried chicken which he really enjoyed. He also got Es Chandol which is a dessert drink, a traditional green jelly drink with coconut milk and palm sugar with ice. Not my thing, but he enjoyed it a lot. Owner is lovely and nice waitresses. They have Byo too.

My dish of choice was from the $15 end of the spectrum, choosing the Ayam Bakar Anugrah, which is a grilled chicken dish. I am glad I did not spend $30 as what I was served for $15 was spectacular. It was half a chook, slow cooked in palm sugar and served in peanut sauce. Meals like this are so good to have in a restaurant, because it would be so difficult to cook a dish like that yourself and to cook it well is another story, so to pay for someone to cook it for you is a pleasure. And a pleasure it was.
