Veg lo mein

Mid food. Veg lo mein was kind of tasteless and didn't actually have any vegetables. Chicken teriyaki was ok but meat was a little shady and lacking in flavor. Wouldn't go out of my way to order from here.

Wonton Soup

A bar atmosphere with decent Chinese / Japanese food. I would recommend sitting at the bar if you can, it was full when we got there so we took a high top and service was a bit slow. The waitstaff was a bit cold to us too. I don't think they said more than 5 words to us and weren't very attentive. Luckily, the food and drinks were good. I really loved the wonton soup, house fried rice and salmon avocado roll! I would try again, but sitting at the bar, or takeout!

General Gau's Chicken

Ordered the general gau chicken combo through uber eats from this place. The amount of chicken in this "chicken" is hilarious They charge $17 for the cooked flour in the sauce with a "touch of chicken". The crab rangoon and lo main were good, but oh...that "chicken"... please stop fooling people... My first and last time ordering from Shanghai Moon ;(

I ordered beef and broccoli with a side of fried shrimp. The fried shrimp were pretty good. The beef and broccoli tasted and the consistency of food that had been steamed. I literally spit out the beef and couldn't finish my meal. The sauce didn't taste right either. Also, it took an hour and I live two minutes away. And when I opened the door, I forgot to bring my phone with me, and asked how much it was. He said $25something. I knew that sound like too much do I gave him $26 in cash; I'm glad I did. He wrote in a tip for himself, and signed the receipt himself. Too bad he didn't use his own credit card. I will give an extra star for the fortune I got. (See photo)

Was looking through Foodler the other day & wanted something different so decided to head here as they had Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Ordered a ton of things. Fast Delivery. A little pricey but we did order a ton and like many other higher scale places they dont have sizes, just one order. Salt & Pepper Shrimp was fried in batter, which is a huge bummer for me. I want it in the shell, head on - original style... Not shelled with all batter on it. Maybe in the future I can ask for it to be with shell and then Ill let you know how that comes out. But it was super spicy & I couldnt feel my lips for 10 minutes after I ate. Everything else was got was great too... Super delish, would def order again.

Egg foo young with chicken fingers
Robert B.

Clean, tasty and clean tasting. From what I hear the drinks and sushi are great as well. Having had no luck with decent Chinese recent I returned her at the recommendation of a friend. This location is under new managements and its shows. I tried the egg foo young and chicken fingers today. The fingers were not greasy at all. The oil obviously was changed recently, The egg foo young scared me at first as it wasn't the old school thick brown gravy. It was tasty, not salty and perfect. The sweet sauce is not the old school version that is found mostly in New England, but it certainly passed muster. The hot mustard was hot, and not watery. I'll be back to try more. Today it gets 4 stars.

Don't waste your money! The food is horrible! Tasteless and under cooked rice. If I could have given this place zero stars I would have.

I forgot how swanky looking the place was, and that still impressed. -- Egg Rolls: Cradled in a wicker basket, crisp on the outside, celery, and pork on the inside, a bit dry, but good flavor. A little above average. -- Spare Ribs on the bone: Painted on every surface with a nice char to complement the glaze. A thicker cut than most. Just like last time, they looked like a reheat, but still had very good texture (tender, moist) and decent enough flavor. Above average. -- Pork Egg Foo Yong: A trio of thick patties flooded with light brown sauce. Good crispness underneath. Soft and tender with big chunks of pork that wasn't dried out. Good overall flavor from the fry, the onions, and the pork, as well as the sauce. Near-elite to elite. -- Kung Pao Chicken: A little different here, with much larger shreds of chicken, a little darker than most, less celery and peanuts than most, a profusion of peppers, and pleasing spiciness to the soy-based sauce. Very enjoyable. Above average to well above average. -- Peking Noodles: A little different, and in a good way. More of a fine shred than a crumble, much spicier, and a little gloppier. Good feel to the egg noodles. I don't get this dish often enough to compare, but I enjoyed it. No OMG moments, but no complaints. Solid lunch, flavorful entrees, and I departed with a higher opinion than before. Upping to 4 stars.

Fish Fillet with Hot Chili Sauce水煮魚片: As expected of their signature dish! The basa fish fillets were incredibly tender, the Szechuan peppercorns were fragrant but not numbing, and the overall flavor was oily but not greasy. The server would remove the chilies after serving, so there was no need to worry about the spiciness. Beef Fillets & Cabbage with Hot Chili Sauce水煮牛肉: Redder and spicier than the boiled fish. The Szechuan people present commented that this was the only dish with flavor. The beef was very tender; although you could taste the tenderizing powder, it wasn't a big problem. Scallions and Szechuan peppercorns contributed much to the fragrance. Pork Intestine with Preserved Vegetable酸菜大腸: Surprisingly, it tasted like... Hakka cuisine? The pork intestines were cut on the thicker side, not the usual kind, but the slightly sour and spicy flavor with a light thickening was just right. Spicy Frog in Fried Pot乾鍋牛蛙: Despite the name, there was a lot of sauce; the bullfrog meat was too tough and chewy. Not recommended. Ma Po Tofu (With minced pork)麻婆豆腐: Very delicious! The tofu was very tender, and the Sichuan peppercorns were very fragrant. Duck with Peking Plum Sauce京醬鴨片: The duck meat was mushy and lacked texture, and the Beijing plum sauce was heavily diluted. I had a feeling of not knowing what I had eaten. Sichuan Spicy Dumpling紅油水餃: I loved them!! The dumplings were large, the filling was generous, and the skin was on the thicker side, giving them a good chewy and firm texture. Besides the chili oil and peanuts, there was a hint of vinegar, which was very refreshing. Steamed Juicy Pork Bun小籠包: The restaurant claims they are handmade daily. Plenty of soup filling, but slightly oily; the skin was chewy but not dry, unfortunately one was broken. If this isn't the case for most places, then Fuchun Ju excels in its fillings, while Zoe's excels in its skins; both are comparable and worth trying.
