I have been a customer of the South Portland (insert competitor here, for now we'll call it CL)…read moredispensary located in the Panera plaza in sopo for awhile, and one day I went in to get my usual cartridge and was informed that Foliage took over. I had been there 3 days before for a couple pre-rolls, and the entire staff were comprised of CL employees, no inclination that they were being bought out at all, business as usual. (None of the employees knew, apparently). I went in that following Saturday and everything was removed from their walls, and all of the staff were completely new to me. The person at the front desk proceeded to talk down about the company CL, and told me exactly how things "went down." He reassured me they are still selling CL products, and that I could obtain what I needed there that day. So, I go into the store portion where I request what I was looking for, and it happens to be that they had one last cartridge of that flavor left... score, right?! No. They charged ALMOST DOUBLE what I usually paid for the same exact product, which was a CL brand product, not typically provided by Foliage. I say "so let me get this straight. You're still selling their products, but you're not honoring their prices?" They say "yes." I said "thank you but I'm all set" and started walking away. They tried to get me to stay to buy something of theirs but I just kept walking. Terrible business sense and customer service. If you're going to acquire a company and sell the remainder of their product, honor their prices for their previous loyal patients. Don't up charge it to almost double the price so that you can make a dishonest profit off of a company that you just bought out and their patients. The dishonesty was a total turn off and I will never buy anything from Foliage again.

What drew my attention initially was the cute little storefront (they're right off the rotary in the Knightville neighborhood, so you really can't miss it). They are a medical cannabis only establishment so you do need to book a consult with their on-staff nurse, Kathy: this is super easy to do online, and I was able to get in the next day. She asked a lot of good questions about what I was looking for (mainly inflammation management and mood), processed my card, and within minutes I was good to start shopping. Then I met my marvelous consultant EJ, who really knows his stuff: he talked me through things very specifically and made recommendations on dosages and establishing a pattern, which is really helpful. And wow, what a great selection, and at very good prices too (and they also have weekly specials and sales). I'm strictly an edibles gal so I can't comment on the flower products, but I can say that these are truly calibrated to target certain conditions and they really do help. Wonderful place in a great neighborhood, and I highly recommend!
