3/4 of the full order of cod and chips
    Marina B.

MY Bf wanted to stop here on the way home from Sechelt. He ordered the full order of Cod and chips with some onion rings. OH MY GOD. It was huge. I'm not used to such generous portions. It came with 4 pieces, fries and a side of coleslaw. The fish was really good. Super moist, not too oily, a good amount of batter. Just classic fish and chips, done right. Also they gave us enough tartar sauce, ketchup, napkins etc. I appreciate that. The fish was so good that It didn't end up being too difficult for me to eat my half;) But I did not need the onion rings. They were a bit too batter-ey for me. My bf seemed to enjoy them though. If you like fish and chips, this is a good place to try. It would be a great place to feed a family as the value is pretty insane.

We came here for fish and chips during our stay on Sunshine Coast. Last time we came here too early in the season and they weren't open yet. You do have to call them ahead of time to order and they have three picnic benches where you can sit and eat. I really enjoyed their fries and the fish was great as well. Large portion sizes and I had some leftovers. Great place for fish and chips on the coast.

During the pandemic, ordered is restricted to over the phone and timed pick-ups - so no ordering in person. Also tip, order ahead because pick-up time slots fill up quickly, especially during lunch time! Unfortunately no seating at the site but tons of beautiful parks nearby and we found one 5 minutes away with great picnic tables. The reviews were correct with their portions - they are huge! We definitely didn't need the extra order of fish. The Large Cod fish & chips was more then for 2 people - especially with the fries loaded in the platter too. Crispy, hot, flakey fish with the batter not overly thick and oily. The tartar and ketchup were perfect with it. The fries reminded me of Costco fries, which I love - soft insides and crispy outsides! The coleslaw side was refreshing and delicious, I wish there was more! Overall, a MUST-STOP if you are in the area! You can also order frozen take aways like chowders and fresh fish!

The food was delicious and the portions were generous... can't wait to eat here again. Best fish fry I've had in ages.

Halibut and Cod fish & chips!

Love that they use their local fish! We enjoyed both the HALIBUT and COD, but the fried coating was quite thick and separated from the fish underneath (which isn't what I personally prefer). Fries and tartar sauce were on point!

I tried hard to get food here. Rarely do I need to, especially if I'm only 10mins. away. After reading the reviews I took the advice of calling ahead to order. Just an hour after opening no one picked up the phone. I called a few times and gave up. Since I was so close I just went and when I arrived the young girl (stressed? no smiley face btw) told me it was a 50min wait and I should have called - But I did (and apparently she's the one that takes orders..?) - but it's still a 50min wait if she puts in my order now. So I got fed up and declined since that would have been a waste of my precious vacation morning. I came back another morning, this time calling right when they opened. Think I was their first customer, right when I drove into the parking lot my name was called. I guess this place is so busy that their service is hit n miss. Anyway food was good. Lots of parking- when I went both times. You can eat at their many picnic tables- in nature- it's almost a camping feel with no other buildings or people around.

Best fish and chips ever. Huge portions... huge! Fish is really fresh with a nice light crispy batter Not soggy anywhere under the batter and the fries are nice and crispy also.

DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. Hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had. The batter was so flakey and light. The halibut was flavourful and moist. The coleslaw was also really good. And the fries were freakin' amazing too. Great value too, we shared one order and left pretty fulfilled It may not look like much from the outside but this place seriously delivers. We also bought a tuna quiche to take home which turned out to be really delicious as well!

"Because it looks to me like a restaurant in a mid-range hotel. You know, where they think, 'People will eat here for convenience, because they're staying here and it's easier than wandering around looking for something else." Our server was quite friendly, and the beachfront view was pleasant--though oddly generic, like the decor, which looked like someone had said, "How little can we spend, and still make everything seem shiny and new?" Once we'd ordered, our food arrived quickly. But it was as though everything had been premade in a factory somewhere, and rather than employing a chef, someone in back was opening everything from plastic bags and microwaving it. (This would also explain why we didn't have to wait long.) The exception was the garlic toast, which was charred, and looked like it'd been cut from a baguette. It was so small, it didn't seem worth reordering; instead, we scraped off the black parts. My pasta was decidedly undercooked ("al dente"). It wasn't uneatable, but I spent considerably more time chewing than I could've planned for. By the time I'd gnawed my way through it, my wife was sending text messages (something we've agreed we'd never do at the table unless everyone else was preoccupied). So, should you eat here? Well, if you've been dazzling yourself with too much excellent cuisine, and you'd like a sort of palate cleanser to reset your tastebuds so everything seems delicious and interesting again, this would be a good place to go. But I suggest you wait till you can bring along something to do where you want no distractions, because this is about as generic and undistracting a meal as you're likely to have. I suppose they named it "Bubbles" because there are bubbles in the surf a short distance away. But a better name would've been HOTEL RESTAURANT--preferably in a generic font, like the one they use for highway signs.

Welp- i visited in a month without an "r" and hence oysters are not the most ideal...apparently. And my kids are the meat and potatoes type crew. Coming from Texas i was alittle skeptical, but that quickly faded with the hometown hospitality of the smoke on the water staff. The big friendly guy took our order- amused my kiddos- and we were ordering lots of bbq on a pier. Ordered- BBQ beef sandwich- delicious sauce with a little bite Meat was requested for the leaner cuts and was fulfilled. No blobs of fat, and just lean tender meat. Poutine with pulled pork/bbq beef /bacon - fries were crispy, hot , and potatoe filled - meat was on point - cheese curds were curding/ melting and stringy Both id say were 5/5! So moral of this review is that you dont need to question why you are ordering bbq on a pier, near so much water, on an island only accessible by a ferry. This place reps well, and has mucho bbq aura. The seating is alittle limited, just patio high stools and counter tops. You view the marina and could see some whales or seals pop up

We ordered the brisket platters, and while the portion sizes were generous, the brisket was on the fattier side and could've used a bit more seasoning overall. The mac and cheese had great flavor and that classic comfort-food vibe, though it was a little dense. The corn flan was just okay...nice idea, but it didn't totally come together for me. We also got the chicken wings, and I have to say, we were impressed! They were actual full wing pieces, not tiny or over-fried, which was a nice surprise. There's limited seating, so it's definitely more of a grab-and-go or casual quick-bite spot. All in all, solid BBQ with potential, but I'd love to see a bit more seasoning and balance in the dishes.
