He discussed with the couple and was happy to work with their plans and what they did and didn't want, and very thoughtful about the photography options with great suggestions. He was a super nice guy as well. The day of the event he was professional, very flexible in the face of lots of cooks in the kitchen, clearly knew what he was doing, and really nice to work with. He knew how to compose shots and make them look great. But most important, the pictures came out wonderful! Finally, his fee was completely reasonable and appropriate to the occasion (unlike other photographers we contacted who said they had a minimum wedding fee whether or not it was a large, standard wedding event). It was unbelievably easy and comfortable and the results are magical! The photo session hardly required any preparations. I did not have to bring any sample magazine cutout pictures as some studios suggest (I did not have any at that time). Tatiana has an excellent online collection of portrait samples, grouped by "moods", i.e. romantic, vamp, fantasy, etc., so the only thing I had to do was to pick a few portraits I liked. It saved me a lot of time and also helped me to decide on the outfits. It was very easy to get to Tatiana's studio. The studio was clean, bright and warm and I immediately felt very comfortable there. Tatiana was unbelievably easy to work with. I could hardly call it "work", as it was more like a Spa experience for me, enjoyable and fun. First, there was a makeup/hair session, during which I was magically transformed from a regular me to someone I never imagined I could be. If you can, I really suggest planning a night out on the day of your photo shoot, as the professional makeup and great hair styling you are going to get there are well worth showing off! After that it was a photo shoot time. Tatiana practically guided me though the photo session. It completely eliminated the fear of posing in front of a camera. It turned out you do not have to be a model or to know how to stage yourself in order to get magazine cover quality pictures... As long as there is a photographer with a vision of you and your best angles providing you with easy to follow staging instructions :) Since it was a new experience for me, I was truly surprised how some somewhat strange and unnaturally feeling poses are getting transformed into the most naturally looking portraits. It was also amazing to see that the "mood" I chose for my photo session was very well preserved in the resulting pictures. My photo shoot with Tatiana turned out to be so much more than creating a portrait of me. In fact, it turned out to be nothing like that. I cried from the detail shots all the way until the pictures from the reception. We did our engagement shoot with Anthony at Valley Forge with our two kids, 1 year old daughter at the time and he was great! They were by far my favorite family pictures we have ever done. The pictures for the wedding day were beyond natural which is exactly what I wanted it to be. I didn't want things to seem posed or have to re pose for pictures. They caught majority of the pictures in action, and pictures that they didn't catch the poses were not unnatural and the pictures came out perfect. I had every intention to do my first looks at the venue which we had a decent amount. I was doing one with my son, my dad and obviously my husband and my husband was going to do one with our daughter. Cassandra last minute suggested that we do mine and my dads first look at the hotel which was the perfect idea! It saved us time when we got to the venue where we didn't have to rush around to fit in an extra first look and my dad could be with us right away. We also did a video with them and that was beyond amazing I cry every single time I watch the videos and I probably will cry every time I watch them. You will probably spend more time with this person than any other vendor, and I am so glad we had the opportunity to get to know Lindsay. She was able to capture our experience of the wedding, as well as, all the wonderful moments we missed. She was able to do this because not only could she magically "disappear" when needed (she must have teleported around the ceremony), but is also very intuitive and can capture people's personalities.
