Have never eaten-in but it's our GO-TO delivery place through Uber Eats for Shawarma. Love the vine leaves, falafel balls, and donairs. The garlic sauce is so delicious, it's nice to get extra because the pita is a bit dry. Believe me, once you taste the meat, veggies, and sauces, and garlic potatoes you won't care about that. Thee best shawarma in town and it is location dependent! . We always get the same things and venture the distance for this shawarma. It tastes so much like back home, so it's worth it!! . I recommend large if you're very hungry and the platter is huge too. . The falafel isn't my favorite from here, but if you're craving them and don't feel like making them yourself they're fine. Sometimes I pick a few up for lunch the next day. . There's usually a long line up because everyone knows it's the best. I recently got wraps from the bowness location and they were no where near as good for some reason and not as loaded! . Highly recommend if you truly want good shawarma and know what it should taste like. . They do have sit down space, but it's not anything special so we usually pick up and go to a park or bring it home. read more

I came here because of the high ratings. Yes the high ratings that everyone gives this place. You can't go wrong with Shawarma Palace. The food here is super delicious, inexpensive and best of all big portion size. I came here to grab takeout. I got the chicken shawarma platter. Wow the portion was just unbelievable. They were so generous on the chicken. I told them to put all sauce and nothing spicy. Wow they were sure generous on the sauce too. I got tahini, garlic and hummus. The pita bread tasted like the one purchased at the grocery store. Everything else was made in house and spot on. The chicken platter became two meals for me. For $15, you can't go wrong ordering the chicken shawarma platter here. Note that this place always has a long line up. Large portions and worth every penny. Best shawarma and best garlic sauce in Calgary. I've been coming here for a few years now. I've tried others all over the city but they're never as good. Everyone I talk to that's also been here says the same. People drive from the South just to buy from here, and we're one of them. If you don't want your whole order and don't Want to eat your dinner order here. Ordered through skip the dishes because there is no other way. And got only the wrap and the dolmade but no sauces for either one. So no dinner called them. Basically said too bad. Tried to file a complaint with skip guess what they will review and give me a refund (maybe) so no sauce. No dinner. read more

I just came here for the first time, and the staff was amazing. They are so polite and when they found out I was from out of town, they gave me some baklava on the house and it was the BEST BAKLAVA I have ever had. I have not eaten the beef and lamb donair I ordered yet but I had to write a review because this place really is the best based on their customer service and dessert. Found this place on yelp as I was craving donair and I am so glad I tried it. The portions are huge and the taste is unbeatable. I ordered a chicken platter and a wrap( not just for me) and I could not get through half the platter because it's so much food. The sauces, veggies and meat have great flavor and staff is really friendly. I only have two cons: the wait is a bit much but it's also a good thing because the food is worth it. They take both online orders and in person hence the wait. Second con is the price, I know portions are big but if I want to grab a quick lunch I don't think paying $25 for two things is ideal. I really like this place! The shawarma wraps and platters are equally good. They offer chicken, lamb , beef and falafel. The meat is very flavourful and the other ingredients are fresh. They also sell samosas and baklava if you're in the mood for some extras. The guys behind the counter are efficient and pleasant. You can tell they try to do a great job putting together every customer's meal even when there is a crazy line. There was a line-up to order, though the line moved fairly quickly. Good shawarma place that offers large portions. I ordered the platter ($12.49) and it comes with pita on the side. I was also able to ask for hot sauce on the side which was nice of them. I received friendly service even though there was a line-up. read more

I mean, come on, not only will they fill up the plate soo full that you can't help but tippy-tow to your table trying not to drop any of it on the floor but the food is freak delicious! The food is great especially their beef Samosa. The only problem is they are so busy. I went over tonight and the place was so busy people were sitting in their vehicles waiting for the line to move. Got a falafel wrap from this place and boy was I pleasantly surprised. Well priced for the amount of wrap you get. My friends got a lamb/beef plate and they enjoyed it as well. I used to be a regular customer here. Food was alway great I came back here after 3 months expecting to receive the same exceptional service I always got. But instead I was greeted by a very rude older woman who provided horrible customer service she had a lot of attitude and did not smile whatsoever once. The cashier was also very rude and passive.
