We visited specifically to try the shawarma, and it did not disappoint! The beef shawarma was juicy and delicious; however, be mindful while eating to avoid any spills on your clothes! We also ordered the coleslaw salad, and it was quite good. However, I felt that it had a bit too much dressing for my taste. A lighter mix using vegetable oil and vinegar might enhance the flavors even more. Just a suggestion for improvement! I appreciated the variety of desserts they offered, including profiteroles, eclairs, and honey cake. It would be great if they could consider adding Napoleon cake to their menu as well. On a different note, they had unfortunately run out of chicken noodle soup and kompot due to high customer demand, which is understandable but a little disappointing. Overall, it was a great experience, and I look forward to returning!

The entire menu is Halal. We ordered the beef Shawarma wrap, the chicken, Shawarma wrap, dumplings, and chicken noodle soup. Very flavorful and the portions are big. I highly recommend for a quick lunch or dinner.

Yummi shawarma. I got chicken one

Finally -- delicious Central Asian food in Schaumburg! I've missed this kind of shawarma from my childhood so much, and the first bite brought all the memories rushing back. The cozy interior is such a beautiful nod to Kyrgyz culture, and the warm, friendly atmosphere makes you want to stay a while. Shawarma Stop feels like a little taste of home -- absolutely worth a visit!

It was empty when it arrived, but filled up on our way out, telling me it's a popular place for the younger crowd. Either way, you know you're in for a good meal when you see the huge doner rotisserie spinning. The owner (at least I'm pretty sure he was the owner) helpfully walked us through their sauce selection and even offered my MIL some sauce samples. She ended up getting the hot dog with veggies, while my wife and I got sandwich combos (17 for the sandwich + 3.50 for fries and a drink). I was going to share my combo with my preschooler since they don't have a kids meal, but the owner thoughtfully offered some fries with chicken for him. We definitely had to tip well for such nice service. So this is no ordinary sandwich, and the pictures don't do it justice. In pics it looks kind of like a pita pocket, but this thing has some HEFT. Filled with veggies, meat, and sauce, it got a little messy but was really tasty. The veggies were fresh, and it's hard to top meat sliced right off the log. My MIL said her unique hot dog was good as well. To me it looked like a Chicago dog from another dimension, but I also want to give it a try next time. Protip: Ask for your sauces on the side. They're almost too generous with it on the sandwich so it's nice to have a little more control with it. This will definitely enter the rotation and will be letting our friends know as well. Great stuff!

My husband ordered the chicken kebab meal for $11.99 and it came with a bottle of water or a can of soda. They don't have Fountain drinks here. The portion size was big and it was served in a Styrofoam container, even for dine in which was kind of sad because my food was beautifully plated. Not sure why his wasn't...? The falafel came with delicious pickles, two tahini, sauces, and some tomatoes. I think these are the best falafel I've ever had. They stayed together nicely and they were moist and delicious. I definitely recommend you try these. My soup was excellent. I love lentil soup and this one was seasoned well and the cup was a decent size. I love the pita bread here because it's very thin and holds up well when you make a sandwich. This is great for people who are watching their carb, but still want to have some bread. We had service with a smile and the lady who took our order, brought everything out to our table, and she was really kind and professional. You pay for the food when you order it. The menu seems to have a lot of great items so we'll be back again to try other things. I highly recommend you give this place a try and check out our photos of the menu as well as the videos of the food we ate!

I opted for the chicken shawarma plate, and it was great. Creamy hummus, a light/fresh salad, a good amount of perfectly cooked/seasoned rice, and the fresh shawarma chicken rounded out this great plate. It comes with pitas which was nice for making small sandwiches, and also came with an interesting hot sauce/garlic sauce. The price was fair around 12$, it came with a lot of food so I definitely got my moneys worth, and overall just pleased with the friendliness of the staff. Looking forward to coming back!

I was a quite disappointed because we went on Saturday at 6:30pm and they were completely out of all pide, ezme, haydari, and the pickles so the menu was pretty limited. We ended up ordering fries as an appetizer since that's all they had. The entrees also said they come with bulgar and rice but we did not have any bulgar on our dish..it also said we should have roasted peppers and onions, which were not on our dish either. I assume they were out of all of those? We really wanted hummus but it was not on the menu. When we finished our meal, we noticed the table behind us had hummus... it would have been nice to know they had hummus. Also, we really wanted to try the manti but did not see it on the menu. At the end of the meal, my husband wanted a coffee and the waitress said there was no coffee and the machine was broke. Service was ok. Waitress forgot our drink. Not very attentive. Dining area is small but cute. They are planning to expand the dining area so there really isn't much of a market anymore. Prices are pretty high in comparison to most Turkish/middle eastern restaurants. They do give you yummy bread and Babaganoush. I want to try it again in hopes that other menu items are available.

The person behind the counter had a great energetic smile and was super nice. Ever though we were the only ones there, we still had about at 15 minute wait, which was fine. I was really hoping to love the food, but it was just okay for me. I felt like there was a lot of flavor that was lacking in the shawarma and rice. The bowl serving seemed kind of small- especially for being $13. The bowl also came with a small salad inside, but I was not a fan of the pickle that was cut up, but that's just personal preference for me. The falafels were crispy and tasty. And the hummus was good, fresh and homemade, and looked amazing, but while getting close to the bottom of it, I found a tiny blue spec mixed in the hummus. Of course it caught my attention and I removed it to inspect it more. Possible a piece of sponge??? Needless to say, it shouldn't have been in there and it ruined my experience with the hummus.

Booths and tables are in fine condition, none of that cracked vinyl you see in some chains (talking to you, Panera!), music is Middle Eastern, but conversation friendly level, thanks be! Now the food. We started with Mom's lentil soup. This is one of our benchmarks for rating a middle eastern restaurant. And it's good, real good. Dad cooks the rest of the food, and he knows what he's doing! We had the vegetarian plate and the Kofta Kabob plate. Falafel are delicious, curnchy on the outside, creamy and light inside. dolmas are made in house and arrive hot, unlike other places that just buy them from some distributor. Saffron rice is cooked right, hummus is great, but then, the baba ganoush is the star! The texture has that fabulous home-made rusticity you'll never find in a grocery store, and has a mild smokiness that defines this delightful dip when properly prepared. The son of the family is a courteous and friendly young man, always ready to answer your questions, and provide advice to the unfamiliar diner. Give this family a shot. You deserve to experience authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere!

Tucked away in a small shopping center, it's a cozy little spot with beautiful Moroccan lights that add to the atmosphere. The staff was patient, kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. We ordered family style so we could sample a bit of everything. Here's what we tried: * Vegetarian Combo: 5/5 stars- Ezme, hummus, falafel, and eggplant dip all on one plate. A perfect starter and a great way to taste a little bit of everything. *Mix Grill: 5/5 stars- chicken kebab, beef kebab, Adana kebab, chicken kofte, beef kofte and doner kebab. This was a hit at the table- every single piece was flavorful, juicy, and absolutely delicious. *Turkish Iskender: 2/5 stars- this one wasn't for me. This dish is made with a bread base topped with tomato base and shredded lamb and beef. The flavor was unique, but the texture just didn't work for me. I don't think I would order it again as it felt very soggy. *Ali Nazik: 3/5 stars- smoked grilled meat over a bed of creamy garlic, yogurt and eggplant. The meat was wonderful, but the yogurt and eggplant mix felt a little off chunky and bland like cottage cheese and needed a stronger punch of flavor. *Manti: 5/5 stars- tortellini stuffed with ground beef served in a creamy yogurt with chilly oil. unlike other places where the dumplings are huge and heavy these were small bite size and perfectly balance easily one of my favorites of the night. Overall, I definitely come back. The menu is extensive and there are still so many dishes I want to try. I can't wait for my next visit.

The food we had was really good I had the Shish Kabob Sandwich, it came with two 10" kabobs that were made out of Halal ground beef, it was nice and spicy and full of flavor. A quarter of my plate was lettuce with raw onion (which I really love to eat on my sandwiches). There were Also two pieces of naan that were both about the same size as the plate. My husband had the Butter Chicken and he says it was good and unlike any other Butter Chicken he has tried in the past (other places make it with more of a tomato flavor). It also came with rice (he could choose rice or naan) The Shish Kabob meal includes rice or naan on the menu... but she told us that there is a separate charge for this. She said prices for Halal meat have gone up. She did not charge us this time but will next time and instead of $8.99 for the Shish Kabob meal, we were charged $9.99 which is not a big deal. They also automatically add a 15% gratuity charge to the bill. I have seen a charge like this at other restaurants for large groups but never just for me and my husband. If they don't include the naan or the rice I don't think it would be very filling, I would rather see them have an updated menu with the correct (increased) pricing which includes naan or rice. If this is not an option, at least tell us when we are ordering. If you plan on dining here I suggest asking for pricing if your paying with cash to make sure you have enough money with you. Other then that, we will be back!
