Last April, I was out of town and I got a email asking me to reinstate my car insurance. So I did, and I paid the fee. Two days later, I get an email saying that I owe them over $100 and that the fee that I paid was just a premium. Not expecting to have to go pay the extra $100 and some change, I held off on it, and then I got a notice saying that they canceled my insurance. So online, I went and reinstate my insurance. Fast-forward to December of last year, I got a notice in the mail from Louisiana state department of corrections saying that I was driving around without insurance and then I needed to pay the state $300. I reached out to GoAuto in the state and told them that I did go ahead and have insurance on the time they said that I did not, GoAuto did not respond back, and the state just didn't care. They said according to their records, I didn't have it. And today I just got a letter in the mail saying that they were going to garnish my income tax wages and I owe them $600. This is total bullshit.
