Delicious Bún ÐẶC Biệt (combination noodle bowl)! We are so glad this place opened in Shawnee....we have been trying to find a good Vietnamese restaurant in the area and one finally came to town. We picked up our noodle bowls for a nice evening at home, and everything was as nice and well put together as if we were dining in the restaurant. The staff was also friendly and professional. The pork egg rolls were not our favorite (we were spoiled by the Gỏi Cuốn at Pho 78), but everything else was great. We are looking forward to dining in next time instead of doing take-out so we can enjoy everything fresh out of the kitchen! read more

Yelp asked what could improve? Everything. First we arrived a little before 5:00 and there was only one table occupied who were finishing up their meal. So they weren't busy. Service was almost nonexistent. We had to get our own menus and go find a wait staff. They didn't care. After we got seated they left. Had to flag them down to order. We waited about 5-7 minutes after finishing for someone to show up so we could pay and leave. Probably could have just walked out and they wouldn't have cared. Food was mostly little to no flavor. The so called grilled vegetables were cold. Portions were acceptable but not extra. Ambiance was kind of 1970's remodeled Waffle House painted grey and blue. Not dirty but also not overly clean. You could see where stuff was spilled or smeared on the walls. Didn't notice it before our food arrived (by now I was already watching) but one of the waitstaff was coughing and around back behind the counter. When I tell you this is some of the best pho I've ever had believe it. We also got the Vietnamese spring rolls and that were filled to the brim and fresh we actually had to wait to eat them from how hot they were. The service was excellent and very on top of everything and quite nice. The atmosphere Is relaxing and chill Im Definitely going to be bringing my friends and family next time. I eat here weekly just about. I always order the egg fried rice. However, I needed to try something different. $20 gets you the bo lac duc meal and it is SO TENDER JUICY FINGERLICKING GOOD. Every time I'm in Shawnee, I eat at Shawnee Pho. It is delicious! The dark chicken meat pho is incredibly flavorful and satisfying. The servers are always very polite and professional. Not at all what I'm used to.. The broth is not fragrant they do Not have Cilantro at all or use in broth. The Spring Rolls for me were a Hard No my husband ate them. The Egg Rolls were?? The Pesnut sauce is Watery and not good. So it was my Firdt and Last. The food is very small portions. I have been Pho since 1980 in the US and Asia. The Pho has been bastardized to Oklahoma palette. The condiments sparse few herb and greens, not served with mung bean spouts and small pieces of lime. Their service is lack luster. Ambiance is early truck stop. Came here this past Monday after a long drive from KC to attend a tradeshow at the Grand Casino Hotel. We looked at their menu online & I saw they had Bun Bo Hue so I said let's go! I needed spicy broth in my life at the moment. The restaurant was nothing much on the outside & decor inside was not much either. We were sat by the window & they had a tv to view. I opened my menu & to my surprise the Bun Bo Hue was crossed off the menu. I was devastated! They had a similar dish called the Shawnee Bo Hue Spicy but to me it wasn't the same. The noodles used was a thin vermicelli & not the usual thick ones. It came with meatballs & tripe which is different from all the bo hues I've eaten. I ordered their fresh shrimp rolls to go as well for a snack later. I ate those in my hotel room & it was ok. Too overly stuffed with noodles & lettuce. The spice to the Bo Hue was good & if it had the right noodles in it then it might've hit my tastebuds much better. I gave them 4 stars for the great customer service. The little old lady who served us was very sweet & attentive. She watched American Ninja with us while we were eating our food & chatted with us. I will only return here if in the area if they brought back the Bun Bo Hue. read more

My family and I loved the Bun Bo Hue. The noodle was small just like what my hometown in Vietnam usually served Chicken Pho and Soft Egg Noodle Plate was really good, too. We seldom come this far east, but I had business to attend to and so my hubs and I ventured out for a meal on the way home. A wonderful treat for road weary travelers in Shawnee, OK. The fresh spring rolls were a welcomed appetizer with yummy peanut sauce. The supreme pho was excellent, with a satisfying broth, fresh bean sprouts, meat, fish, and noodles. An iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk was so good. Service was friendly and prompt. Food is clean and service is usually pretty quick. Then again, I never get meat here (vegetarian) so I don't know if the meat will make you sick. I have many friends who eat here all the time and I've never heard a complaint against them. THIS PLACE IS A GEM. I would pick this place for pho over all the many pho places in the city. This stuff is just what you need on a chilly day in Shawnee. The service is excellent, the food has always been great. No, it's not fancy. If you want that, head out of town. But if you want dynamite pho, pull up a chair. On top of that, their sushi game is STRONG. Definitely get the steamed pork dumplings, because the dipping sauce they put with it is out of control.
