Technicians were assigned to them faster than you can say "gel upgrade," while we remained the lonely peasants in the land of Deluxe. When I (politely!) asked the host what was going on, he snapped back with the warmth of a nail file: "You only paid for the basic service. You have to wait for the basic attendant. There are three people ahead of you." Ah yes, the basic attendant--a mystical creature who apparently appears only during lunar eclipses and coffee breaks. At that point, my granddaughter was giving me the "Can we go now?" eyes, and honestly, I was right there with her. So we got up and left--with no polish, no pampering, and no plans to ever return. The person that I had an appointment with came out and said she'd be 10-15 minutes. I gave her 25 minutes and then left. She never returned after her initial comment and was still in the back when I left. I'm very disappointed. It was the first time I'd ever been to this salon.
