We had a couple hours to wander on our own and as part of that we stopped in the design center here to do a little browsing. It is a little pricier than some shops but very well curated and that's why. Lovely artisan jewelry, scarves, caps, pottery, crystal, sweaters, soaps and such. A great place to bring home a nice keepsake that you'll enjoy for years to come. My mom bought a pretty cross necklace and I regret not purchasing an elegant pair of sterling silver and Connemara marble earrings during our visit but I really enjoyed our short time in Kilkenny, and would have liked much more time to explore it's interesting history, so I guess I'll just have to make my way back sometime!

I was actually more interested in the K Foley leather shop in back, but they were closed on this recent Sunday afternoon. Gayle jokes that I've never met a gift shop I didn't like. That might be largely true, but the offerings of one either hit me or they don't. In the case of the 2-part Kilkenny Design Center, it didn't and not for the lack of trying! Cute Irish stuff, but not today.

We ordered in June and paid out 50%deposit as agreed,…read morethere was a delay on delivering but considering the quality of work the fitters do , We completely understood it's hard to give exact dates , the cabin arrived on site and was errected in 6 days (we had ordered large unit). Both Eamon , Eddie and both fitters we're great . We needed clarification on one thing and the lads were here within the hour to resolve same. We would highly recommend this company to anyone. I'm a great believer in customer service so it's with delight that I can write this review of Jane…read morein this store. We were looking for a specific bedside lamp (there was only one in stock) so Jane rang around all the local Woodies, eventually finding two in Newbridge which we will collect on Wednesday. Secondly we were looking for a particular wallpaper. Without going into too many details, Jane jumped through hoops to help us with this and we ended up with an order for a couple of weeks time, to be held at the Kilkenny store. Jane was extremely pleasant and friendly, yet polite and professional and I can only say - it would make life much easier if there were more like her.
