I did a treatment plan of Physical therapy which helped some, but still did not resolve all of my symptoms. I was at my wits end when I called and scheduled with McAlpine chiro. For the first time since my accident, I finally felt heard and could sense his genuine compassion and eagerness to want to help me. After the first two adjustments I already had relief from the pain that I had for 8 months. Soon my mood improved, my extreme fatigue started to go away, and the pain was minimal. For 8 months my whole life was on pause. I was a completely different person. Once I went to McAlpine Chiro, I started making plans for activities with my family again! Going on bike rides, and making plans to participate in all the things I used to enjoy. Dr. De Young saved my summer. I had an awful 8 months missing out on downhill skiing and ice hockey on the pond with my family, and now feel renewed and refreshed and back to my active fun loving self again. After x-rays, an assessment of my pain areas, he completely explained what he needed to do to help me. He is a good listener and takes his time with patients, giving them individual care with no rushed feeling. After a few treatments, I'm happy to report, I'm in good shape. It's clear immediately this is a "value doctor" selling you on the best price and not the best quality or service. Fast forward to my exam - The doctor claimed he couldn't hear the popping in my back as he was pushing and making it happen, even with it happening multiple times. He made claims that my back was in "exceptional" shape and that I had zero need for any further care after a rear end car accident. There were multiple discrepancies in his report, things not recorded or seemingly purposely left out. The same day, right after this appointment, I attended a separate independently set up evaluation at Mary Free Bed rehabilitation clinic where I was seen by an Osteopathic Doctor. This doctor had a very long list of things I am suffering from including the popping/snapping, periscapular problems, spinal issues, etc. I believe that Dr Aamodt isn't the best choice as a result of him missing very obvious and blatant things with my condition or choosing not to honestly report his findings. Hard to argue when 5 other medical service providers have been able to find and notate these issues within the last few weeks. As a result of all of this, I would highly consider a different practice.
