My mother informed me I would have a new teacher, since my former teacher had killed herself and that she was going to burn in Hell. What a scary thing to say to a child!! I was horrified. During another grade level, another teacher made me go into a small dark closet, spanked me with a paddle and left me locked inside the closet for a very long time. She had accused me of speaking when I should not have been speaking, which was a complete lie. These days, if a teacher hits a child, then it is considered child abuse and is punishable by law! These were suppose to be "good" Christians... but actions speak louder then words in this case! Oh, and the horrible stories I heard from my parents and their friends regarding Jerry Falwell Sr. pressuring members of his Thomas Road Baptist Church to remortgage their homes in order to contribute more money to his greedy needs. I was so thankful when my family finally moved away from Lynchburg, VA and I no longer had to attend that scary abusive school!

We are a military family and I have learned that military children feel the negative impacts just as much as the adults. From dealing with moving, Dad being deployed and his broken arm, my son was an utter mess and I was lost as a mother on how to help him (I tried almost everything!). Timberlake Christian was there and present. The staff has been amazing to our family and I could not thank them more for what they have done for us. Not only did they teach my child to grow and be confident, but they helped me become a confident parent while dealing in our struggles. OH and to add to everything, my child is a grade ahead of everyone at his age in his new school. SO, if you are looking for a school that genuinely cares about their students AND their families, you found it. I love this school, I love the staff and we miss them dearly!

Our kids have been attending School Zone in Forest since 2016 and they are so caring to each child…read more They focus on learning as well as sensory play and free play which is so important in the preschool years. This school doesn't advertise itself as a preschool but it is more than a daycare. I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else in Forest - we love every teacher and they love my kids like their own. Highly recommend. (Not sure why Jeff is giving a bad rating to this school when his issue is with a different establishment. School Zone is amazing!)
