Knee surgery isn't my favorite way to pass the time of day, but if it has to happen, I'd choose to…read morehave it happen here. I found the facility to be clean and modern, and the staff friendly and helpful. There was almost no wait to be taken back to the prep area. The prep and OR nurses were very kind and unhurried. They took their time to make sure I was comfortable and talked to me about what was going to happen. Once in recovery, they were very accommodating as well. The only reason I didn't go with 5 stars is the location. The surgery center is at the very back of a complex full of other medical/dental offices, and is rather difficult to spot. We drove past the complex entrance twice and saw no sign along the main road. When you do get to the rear of the complex and find them, You have to go all the way around the building to get to the entrance. A saving grace was that parking is free and plentiful. Nobody looks forward to surgery, but if I ever have to have it again, I would easily opt to have it here.

After a good experience at this surgery center previously, I had one of the most traumatic medical…read moreexperiences of my entire life. I left with bruises up and down both of my arms from six painful, failed port attempts, as well as a gruesome site on my WRIST where they finally placed the port on a seventh attempt. I also had a staff fall (with their full weight) on my stomach during prep, after another staff's careless decision making. This is to say nothing of the two random staff walking into my space unannounced while I was in a state of undress. Or the bloody mess that occurred when another staff attempted removal of the port from my wrist post-procedure. The entire process, from start to finish, was an unorganized, chaotic mess, and I have still yet to recover from their negligence. I will never return (and have filed a formal complaint with the state). Patients deserve better than this.

I visited this establishment on Dec 18, 2025 for a tumor encased within a cyst. We discussed…read moreremoving the tumor/cyst. I left with the understanding that the clinic would be reaching out to St. Michael's for a date to preform the surgery. I finally called the clinic back on Jan 12, 2026 since I had not heard back from them. I was told that the St Michael's anesthesiologist had stated "due to my past history and current health issues" I was unable to go under anesthesia. You can only image how upset I was; since I know of no reason I'm unable to go under anesthesia. So, I made an appointment the next day with my referring doctor. When I got to that appointment, she showed me the report she received from Dr Sherris, dated Dec 19th, that clearly shows it was his decision, not St. Michael's. I made another appointment with him on Jan 28th. The appointment was at 2:15. I didn't see him until almost three. I confronted him about not informing me he had changed his mind and did not have the curtesy to call me and inform me. He said he thought the referring physician would tell me. Now, since he told me one thing and her another thing; how would she know he changed his mind; and why would it be her responsibility to inform me of anything? Then, when I told him his staff had lied to me about the anesthesiologist at St Michael's; he proceeded to tell me "I'm sure they just misinterpreted what I wrote". I had actually called twice that day. The second time they stated emphatically that it was St Michael's that had made the decision. Then, Dr. Sherris stated that in order for him to do my surgery; I'd need a report from my primary physician that I'm healthy enough to have the surgery. His concerns, according to what he told me are: I have a fatty liver and Lupus. Since I've had those for years and have had much more detailed and longer surgeries in the past two years--I find this total BS. I'm requesting a referral to a different podiatrist.

However if you want to get over it quickly Dr Sherris is the one you wants to do your shots for you. He is very skilled with the needle and is fast. Not something you want to do everyday, but you'll be glad you did. He will also give you a boot to sleep in, which helps also. The young gentleman receptionist is top notch and very helpful, as is his assistant. Thank you again!
