My husband and I have been getting our taxes done with Sheldon Brothers for the past six or seven years now. We have never had any problems until now. Brent has always been awesome. However, we are currently in the middle of a divorce and I contacted the office to get a copy of the taxes we filed jointly from 2019. Cindy in the office treated me with extreme disrespect. I explained my situation to her and the urgency with which I needed to pick up a copy. I didn't think this was an obscene request. I was met with zero compassion, zero empathy, and zero helpfulness. I also didn't realize getting a copy of my own taxes should be so difficult. Apparently this business uses the sound of your voice to identify who you are. I assured her I could come to the office and pick up the taxes with my license and Security Social Security Card. She also hung up on me twice and didn't answer the phone when I called back. Needless to say I had to contact my estranged soon-to-be ex-husband to get the information I needed. If this is how Sheldon Brothers treats their clients, they should not be in business. I am a single mother going through a very difficult time and this was just one more hurdle getting in the way of myself and my young daughters future. Obviously, I will not be filing taxes with Sheldon Brothers in the future, and I'd advice you to think twice before giving your personal, confidential information to a company that lacks professionalism and discretion. read more
