The nice manager even greeted all the customers with cool coupons. This newly constructed store inside looks very nice and modern compared to the older Cumbys in New England and NY. They offer the basic convenience store items plus prepared foods, sandwiches, cold drink station and coffee bar. This is one of my pitstops for gas (tank up for the long mountainous drive), coffee, cold drinks, sandwiches, snacks, and clean restrooms. The gas prices here are competitive to the other gas stations along Route 9. Lately, the gas prices at Cumby's seem to be the lowest in the area and in the State of Vermont.

He also is big into educating me as the customer, he most often shows me the part(s) he took out and why they needed replacement.I have found the prices to be fair. One of the many reasons that I go back is the mechanic is very honest. Several years ago I took my car into him for new shocks and struts, never checking my extra warranty on the car. I received a call at stating he would not be doing the work, as the car was on its way to the dealership to have the work done. He shared he checked to see if I had a warranty before doing the work, and found that I did indeed have a warranty covering this. He said he saw no sense in me paying him for something that was covered by warranty. He could have done the work, charged me and I would not have been the wiser. I appreciated his honesty. That saved me over $1,000. Last, but not least as a woman I am comfortable going there, there are not a lot of places that I can say that about. With this being said this is an old a gas station, not a brand ne car dealership. There is no carpet on the floor and the chairs are not newly upholstered,however it is clean there is some reading material available as well as WIFI for the customers. Maybe we just chose the wrong items? We tried: Oatmeal cookie - good, but not amazing. Chocolate chunk/ peanut butter cookie - stale as heck and basically inedible. I always am leery of saran wrapped cookies that are out on display because its impossible to know if there are actually fresh. The giant stacks of cookies were too enticing to pass up on. The chocolate cookie we purchased was definitely not fresh at all. $3.29 down the tubes - lesson on saran wrapped cookies learned (again). Carrot cake whoopie pie and original whoopie pie - both tasty, but the cake was too thick for my personal liking. We sat in the small outdoor seating area to eat. This was a nice little reprieve from the car ride.
